Chapter 95: Potion

Kang-Ho was taken aback after his hit landed on the golem, Kang-Ho didn’t manage to hit any of the cores but, when he tried to pull his dagger back, he felt like the dagger was stuck. Kang-Ho wasn’t able to pull his dagger back no matter how much force he implied towards the dagger. It delt like someone was pulling the dagger from the other side. As Kang-ho was trying to pull his dagger back the golem’s body started moving in a weird way, the arm and the head of the golem started rotating towards the back, Kang-Ho knew what was coming next.

Kang-Ho now had two options either escape of stay and try to pull the dagger and face the golem’s attack. while Kang-Ho was trying to pull his dagger out, the fist of the golem came crashing down towards him. Kang-Ho at the nick of time used his other hand and launched an attack on the sides of the dagger which was stuck. This time Kang-Ho was careful not to pierce the golem, rather this time when he landed the attack he would pull back as quickly as he could. By using this method in a quick succession Kang-Ho managed to break off the golem’s body near the dagger, which gave him enough room to move the stuck dagger, and finally Kang-Ho managed to pull his dagger out successfully.

Right then the fist of the golem landed on the spot Kang-Ho was, and suddenly there was dust all around, as the dust settled in, golem had a huge hole on its body. But there was no visual sign of Kang-Ho.

Kang-Ho sighed audibly he was relieved that he was not hit by that fist, he had managed to escape the fist right before it landed. If that fist were to land on Kang-Ho, Kang-Ho would easily have a lot of broken bones on his body. But even after al of that Kang-Ho was quite happy with the results. When the golem dug a hole on itself, it accidently revealed the location of two cores. One was located on the chest area and other one was located around the stomach area. The golem had made it a lot easier for Kang-Ho.

Kang-Ho waited for some seconds, while the golem was reattaching itself. Kang-Ho wanted to see how he performed while fighting this kind of opponent, although it would have been quicker just attacking the golem while it was in process of reattaching, but for Kang-Ho time was something that he didn’t have shortage of, so he let the golem be in its full health.

Once the golem was ready, it launched an attack on Kang-Ho, like the first time the golem was launching the pouncing attack again on Kang-Ho, this time Kang-Ho didn’t dodge the attack rather Kang-Ho pounced at the golem himself. Kang-Ho ran low and attacked straight at the chest area where he had seen the core. When Kang-Ho reached the chest area of the golem it was still unable to react fast enough to stop Kang-ho’s attack.

This just showed how vulnerable golem was towards a sneak attack, Kang-ho launched fast paced attacks on the chest of the golem with both of his daggers. Kang-Ho didn’t let his dagger rest inside of the golem he pulled his dagger out as soon as the dagger went in. after repeating this process Kang-ho was able to expose the core. Kang-ho launched a series of attacks on the core, after some hits Knag-Ho finally managed to break the core down. Kang-Ho was about to move away from the golem right when he felt something tugging him from behind.

Before Kang-Ho could even do anything, he was pulled very hard and thrown towards the wall of the room. Kang-Ho spun around in the air while he was headed towards the wall, Kang-Ho tried to stabilize himself mid-air. Hoping to make a safe landing, but no matter how much he tried he was unable to stabilize himself. The force that he was thrown with made it impossible for him to stabilize his body as he wanted, the result was he crashed on the wall head first. Kang-Ho became disoriented after hitting his head on the wall, before he could realise what was happening the golem pounced towards him. Kang-ho rolled over and was able to protect his vita organs but his left arm was crushed by the golem’s attack.

Kang-Ho was bleeding through his, he became careless moment ago. He quickly took out some of the healing potions out of his ring and started drinking. After drinking some of the bottles Kang-Ho was looking better and his hand was okay now. But he could still feel the pain from moments ago it made him feel like his arm was still broken. Kang-Ho didn’t know why that was the case, but it seemed like a draw back to him. Kang-Ho decided to buy some better healing potion after he gets out of this place.

Potions were life saving in these kinds of situation, if he could use them for his benefit then why not buy them before entering the dungeon? Kang-Ho tried move his left arm which was hurt some moments ago and it seemed he didn’t have any problem moving his arm, the only problem was he felt as if he was moving a broken arm.

The pain he felt would be unbearable to normal person but for Kang-Ho who was all too familiar to this kind of pain he didn’t have any problem with the pain.

After making sure he was all okay, Kang-Ho once more launched an attack towards the golem, this time Kang-Ho was careful enough not to get caught by the golem, he dodged when ever golem tried to grab him. Kang-Ho didn’t want to be thrown like earlier, he only had some of the healing potions left which he wanted to save for unforeseen situation.

The fight continued like this for some more time, after some time Kang-Ho was able to break 6 more cores, and he finally discovered the final core location. The core was located inside the right knee of the golem. Kang-ho felt that location to be fairly easy to attack as the golem’s hand couldn’t reach the place.

Even after Kang-Ho had broken 7 of the 8 cores the golem didn’t have any change regarding the speed and the power the golem had the same speed and power it had when they first started fighting.

The golem launched the attack while Kang-Ho was standing still, the golem pounced towards Kang-Ho, Kang-Ho too pounced towards the golem once it moved. Kang-Ho aimed for the knee of the golem, the golem was unaware of Kang-Ho’s whereabout as it had hard time locating him because of his high speed. When it finally saw Kang-Ho, he was attacking his knee. Kang-Ho launched a series of attack on the knee of the golem, the leg of the golem wasn’t that big so the core wasn’t that deep inside. With just one or two strike Kang-Ho was able to reach the core and he destroyed the core in just 4-5 hits.

Kang-Ho had managed to level up two times after defeating just one golem, he was surprised.
