Chapter 174 - WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

[KYLE POV]

"Alpha Jacy! Alpha Jacy!" The members of Jacy's pack were chanting the words over and over. I knew that they all accepted and approved of her, and they all wanted her to be their Alpha. That was abundantly clear. The thing is, would she accept it? Would she take up the role of their Alpha? That, I wasn't so sure about.

What I knew right now, though, was that Jacy was almost at her limit. She had had a very long and taxing night. And, as I looked at my watch, I saw that it was just after one in the morning. Jacy had been attacked around six in the evening, which meant that it had only been about seven hours but they were seven LONG hours for both of us.

"I think that it is time for us to call it a night and get some rest." I called out loudly so that all those that were chanting could hear what was happening. "I think Jacy needs to get cleaned up and relax before we can do anything else."

"Yes, I agree." Deek stood up and turned to face the crowd that was kneeling to Jacy. "Jacy isn't leaving right away, but she will be going back home soon enough."

"NO!" Gregory was shocked when he stood. "She is our new Alpha, she cannot leave."

"We will work everything out, Gregory. Don't worry. I will talk to Jacy in the morning and then I will let you all know what is going to happen."

When I looked at my wife, the woman that they were talking about, I saw that she was still staring at the body of her tormentor, her kidnapper, her rapist, the man that had done so much to her that I couldn't even fathom it all. Why hadn't she told me?

"Come on, Jacy. Let's get you somewhere that you can rest for the night."

"I am not going back into that house." She looked at me with eyes that were full of anger and traces of fear.

"No worries, Jacy. I am already looking for a nice hotel for the night. We all need to find somewhere to sleep for the night."

I thought about that for a moment. We had brought four dozen people here without even thinking about where we were going to sleep when it was all over with.

"You don't need to find places for all of them." Deek took the lead again. "I am sure that some of them won't mind sleeping in the pack house for just one night. And some of them could possibly get rooms from the other members of the pack here. Are any of you willing to offer your homes to those that helped us to rid you of Victor and Matthew?"

"Yeah!"

"I will."

"I have a spare room."

"Some of them can stay with me."

The offers for help just kept coming and it made me smile to see it. I was immensely proud of the people that were in Jacy's pack. Apparently, not everyone here was as shitty as the Portis family. Several of these people seemed to be living miserably under his rule. What kind of horrible Alpha was he?

"I will take a room for Jacy and myself." I told Laremy.

"I know, Kyle dear, don't worry. I have ten of them booked." He answered me.

"Ten?" Bastian sounded surprised when he heard that.

"Yup, one for the vampire couple, one for the other wolf Alpha, one for Jacy and Kyle, one for Lucian, once for Deek, four for Baxter and Winston to split between themselves and the feline secret service that Kyle seems to have, and one for us."

"US!?" Bastian paled instantly.

"Oh hush, we've slept together before." Laremy giggled.

"We've slept in the same room. We have never slept together. Get your facts straight."

"Semantics. Just deal with it and come along, feather head." Laremy pulled him by the sleeve as he walked toward one of the SUVs that had just showed up. Apparently, he had called them too. He was pretty efficient. Flamboyant and flippant, but still efficient. "Can you imagine how happy EZ will be that we shared a room like this." I heard more of Laremy's giggles as he dragged Bastian away.

"Don't bring him into this."

"Should we go and join them?" I asked my mate as I held a hand out toward her.

"Yeah." Thankfully she took my hand with no questions asked and just let me pull her along toward the car.

"Everyone, split up and find a place to sleep, either in the pack house or a local home. We will be back for a meeting no later that one in the afternoon." Deek instructed them, telling them where to go and what to do. "For right now, Gregory, I want you to help get them all settled. I am going with Jacy but here is my number. Call me if there are any problems."

"Yes, Beta." I heard Gregory's voice and the hush that seemed to wash over Deek. He probably hadn't been thinking along those lines.

"You know what, Jacy?" I called out to her as we walked. "Deek would make a great Beta for you."

"Hmm." I don't think she was paying attention to anything anymore.

"Come on, you need to rest." I had a feeling she was in a state of shock after everything that had happened tonight. I needed to help her out tonight as much as I could.

I got Jacy into the SUV and sat her beside me with my arm around her. She didn't protest or say anything at all. We got to the hotel that Laremy had booked for us and I took her up to the room, practically carrying her as she wasn't wanting to walk anymore. I needed to help her, calm her, something.

Once we were in the room I left Jacy in the bedroom for a moment while I went to draw her a nice hot bath. That would help her with the shock a little.

When the water was ready, I took the clothes off of her and helped her into the bath. I took the time to text Deek about the fact that we all needed some new clothes, but he told me that a few of the pack members were already on it. They were, apparently, already on their way. That was good.

I massaged some of the tension from Jacy's shoulders, as much as I could with her having pulled her knees to her chest as she sat there thinking. While she dried off, I went to get the clothes from the wolf at the door. They weren't new, but the wolf apologized that they lived in a remote area and there were no twenty-four hour stores.

Jacy didn't want me to help her dress, so I took a quick shower so I could change my clothes as well. We were both clean now and able to sit in the bed without ruining it.

Speaking of sitting in the bed, I pulled the covers back and pulled Jacy against my chest. I wanted to hold her in my arms all night and make her feel better. She didn't fight me either. She just leaned back against me and let me hold her.

"Jacy." I spoke her name softly and hoped that she would talk to me.

"Yeah, Kyle?" She asked me, her voice equally silent.

"Will you tell me what happened?"

"Tonight? Or in general?" She knew that I wanted to know more than just what they had done to her tonight.

"Both." That earned me a sigh and I felt her shift just a little.

Our positions shifted so that Jacy was still in my arms, but her head was resting on the pillow and she could look me in the eyes.

"Should I start with the past and work my way up?" She didn't look angry, or like she didn't want to tell me at all. I think she finally wanted to get it all off of her chest.

"If you think that would be the best, then yes." I did my best to encourage her.

"Alright."

Jacy swallowed hard, took a deep breath, and then began.

I learned that Jacy's parents had learned that she was a born Alpha at a young age. She wasn't even eight years old. However, it was already clear that even at twelve years old, Victor had the strength to be the Alpha and was already being groomed to take over.

When Jacy's rank was discovered, she replaced Victor and he wasn't too happy about it. That displeasure morphed into hatred and a thirst for power. He wanted to be the man to lead them all, and he didn't care what it took to achieve that goal of his.

Victor started to make Jacy's life even more of a living hell than he had already done when they were younger. He would hurt her just for the fun of it. And born Alpha or not, she was just a seven year old little girl; she was no match for him.

After that, as Jacy became a teenager and her beauty was beginning to show, Victor would alternate between torturing her and trying to seduce her. She had told her father once and he thought she was exaggerating because she had never gotten along with Victor.

When Jacy was thirteen, Victor took his actions too far and took her virginity while half a dozen other teenage boys stood around to guard them. Most of those boys had been part of the group that attacked her at our house.

The sexual assaults didn't stop there. He kept it up until she was strong enough to make them stop on her own. Once that happened, Victor just tried to put more and more effort into hurting her.

Shortly after that, her parents were murdered and she knew that she didn't have the strength, mental or physical, to fight off everyone that was going to come at her. Victor never fought fair. That was why Jacy ran.

The rest, about her time in Boston, I already knew. Following that, she told me about everything that they did to her tonight. The fight at our home and then waking up with Victor in the room. Being chained to the bed and him kissing her. Stephanie and the drugging. She even told me that Matthew masturbated while watching her being washed up. And I admit, when she told me she ripped off his dick when he tried to put it in her mouth and shoved it into his instead, I laughed way more than I should have. That was my girl, she never gave up, she was always fighting. Even when she ran, it was her way of not giving in to the man that had tormented her. She was still fighting that whole time.

With her story done, Jacy fell almost immediately to sleep. I think she felt better, lighter, with the words off of her chest. She had been holding onto a lot for so long. I just wish she would have told me sooner.
