Chapter 119 - JACY'S WEDDING PLANNING TORTURE

Why, in the fucking hell, was I standing here in this dress shop right now? Why, in the goddamn fucking hell, did I let EZ bring me here? Oh, wait, I know why. Because I'm getting married.

Getting married means that I need to have a fucking wedding dress. Dammit Kyle! I made him promise that I never had to be womanhandled ever again. Now, here I was with two different seamstresses working away at the hem of the dress.

"We will have to take a look at it again right before the wedding. You say she's two and a half months pregnant now, but there could be a lot of change by the time that the wedding actually gets here. I have accounted for the growing baby belly but we won't know the full extent of it until then."

"Are you saying I will be fat?" I glared at the woman who was sewing the front seam of the skirt.

"No dear, it won't be fat; it will be a baby. And it will be beautiful."

I just looked at her like she had lost her mind. Why the hell did I agree to this? Why couldn't I just wear jeans and a t-shirt to get married? Wasn't it my wedding? I was definitely not happy right now.

EZ, however, seemed to be very happy as he looked at me and my misery.

"You look great, Jacy baby. I love it! I can't wait to see the whole look come together. I just know that you will be the best bride ever. I already know Kyle is going to love it." EZ was grinning at me with his eyes glued to the dress.

"Oh, I know he will love it." Laremy added. He had come along as well, being the more flamboyant of EZ's duo. "If I were a straight man, I would take a chance at it." He winked at me.

"High praise, really. Two gay men who say "eewwwiiieee" at the sight of a naked woman's body think I look hot. That is soooo convincing. Really, thank you for that." I grimaced at them and they just laughed at me.

"We don't say "eewwwiiieee", Jacy. Heavens no." EZ was giggling. "We run away screaming so that we're not scarred for life. It's literally shrieks of horrors. God, I thought you knew that already."

"My bad. I must not have realized it." I laughed at him in return.

After enduring another hour's worth of torture at the dress maker, I was taken to a bakery. Goddess no. I was being expected to help pick out my wedding cake. NO! Why me?

Apparently, Kyle had already been here with EZ and now it was just up to me to make a final decision. I didn't want to do this.

I was seated at a white table that was so frilly and girly that it made me want to give one of those shrieks of horror that EZ had been talking about. The doilies, the cutsie napkins, the flowers; ugh, I think it's going to make me sick.

An employee at the shop brought out several different kinds of cake in little bite sized pieces.

"You're fiancè already came here with your brother, and the two of them narrowed all the cakes down to these six. They want you to pick your favorite from among these. We have cherry almond, cocoa mocha, caramel hazelnut, mango pineapple, coconut banana cream, and a house special called heaven and hell, which is pure white angel cake and decadent devil's food. There are samples for all three of you and forks on the tray. I have brought tea, water, and milk for rinsing your palettes after each cake. Happy tasting."

The employee walked away, and I was left with the frilly cakes and two men who were dying to eat them. This was a pain. I mean, yeah I like cake, but where were the normal cakes?

"Come on Jacy, let's dig in." EZ put a plate in front of me and handed me a fork. "It's time to start tasting." I took the fork with a groan, but didn't say anything.

The first cake that EZ handed me was the mango pineapple. Now, I like those fruits, by themselves and together, but not put in a cake. I couldn't even stomach it enough to swallow it down.

"Oh, Goddess, no. I am not getting that one." I pushed the plate away from me as I watched EZ and Laremy eating the cake like it was made of sex. "Urk." I clapped a hand over my mouth and looked away. "That's just nasty and wrong on so many levels." The problem was that they weren't doing it to flirt with each other. They both thought the cake was amazing.

EZ handed me the next piece, the cherry almond cake. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. It would do if the others sucked though. After that, I tried the cocoa mocha, and so far that was the winner. It tasted really good. So did the caramel hazelnut, I liked that one a lot. The coconut banana cream was almost as bad as the pineapple mango, and I made sure not to look at EZ or Laremy while they ate that one. I didn't need a repeat of before.

The last cake that I tried was the heaven and hell. It had traditional flavors at least and looked normal. It had a creamy white frosting that looked angelic and pure. When cut, it was made of little squares of white angel cake and dark brown devil's food chocolate. Each slice looked like a checkerboard and I could tell it took them a long time to make it. When I bit into it, the cake melted in my mouth. The flavors brought out the richness and sweetness in each other. It was the best of them all.

"I've made my decision." I grinned looking at the cake in front of me.

"Ooh, yay!" EZ clapped his hands excitedly as he watched me eat the cake. "I'm so happy that we've marked another thing on the list. And with only six weeks until the wedding."

"Ugh, EZ, don't remind me of how little time I have." I may have sighed, but I kept eating the cake. I even stole Laremy's piece, and he looked upset for a minute. "You can have some at the wedding." I told him as I shoved a bite into my mouth.

"Don't worry baby, you can have a bite of mine." EZ grinned and fed him a bite of his cake.

"Thank you, gorgeous." Laremy took his bite with a grin. "Mmm, that is good. Is it the cake or you that is making it taste so good?"

After we placed the order for my wedding cake, I was dragged out for more torture. EZ told me that I needed to pick the final color for the flowers because he and Kyle hadn't been able to decide. WHY ME?!

I was forced into the flower shop where there were dozens of people crammed around frantically making pieces for different orders. EZ took my hand and showed me all the different things that were around the shop. He showed me everything that he liked, and everything that Kyle had liked.

I ignored their selections and went straight to the only part of the store that drew my attention. There were hundreds of red flowers, and not all of them were roses. I saw some that caught my eye and I liked. So I just pointed out the ones that I really liked and told EZ to pick from them.

"So, you like the red amaryllis, the red dahlias, the gerbera daisies, and the red calla lilies. Those are all great choices." EZ sounded happy.

"Yeah, so pick something from there."

"Why pick? I can use them all." He looked happy. "Can I add a little white in there as well, or should they be all red?"

"I don't care; white is fine just as long as there isn't too much."

"Got it, I think we're almost done here. We just need to place the order."

After that I think that my part of the wedding planning was done. I didn't need to do anything else except show up for the wedding. UGH! Why was this so complicated?

When I got home though, Kyle was already there. He had dinner ready for me and was waiting for a kiss.

"Welcome home." He seemed more like a housewife with the things that he did. Did I need to improve here? Nah, then what would Kyle do?

"Hey, thanks for dinner." I kissed him and sat with him at the table.

Kyle asked me something strange while we were eating though, and it threw me off. It made me think that maybe I wasn't paranoid after all.

"Did today go alright? Nothing weird? No bad feelings?"

"Like what?" I think he was referring to that time when I felt someone watching me. Is he taking it seriously? Should I? Was it just my imagination or was it real?

"I don't know, that's why I'm asking you." He grinned, clearly hiding something. I think he thought someone really was following me, but was hiding it from me. I think he believes that I would go after the person if I were to sense them again. He was right too, I would chase him down and kick his-.

I stopped my thought midway through when I felt something inside of me move. I didn't know what it was at first, and therefore, I pressed my hand to my stomach.

"Are you OK?" Kyle looked and sounded worried.

"I..I..I felt something."

"Like what?"

I felt it again just then. It was like the tiniest of movements in my belly.

"I..I think that I..I f..f..felt the b..b..baby move." I was stuttering from this; I was so shocked that I was stuttering.

"You did?" Kyle looked excited now and jumped out of his seat to drop to his knees next to me. "You felt our baby move?" He was the happiest man alive.

"I think so." I actually felt the massive smile that was spreading across my face.

"Our baby." Kyle put his hand against my belly then.

"Our baby." I agreed.

This was our baby. I needed to protect this baby as well. I needed to do what I could to keep them safe. Now I know why Kyle was telling me to sit out of things. I couldn't track someone down and kick their ass right now. Not until this baby was safe. This was my number one job right now.
