Thinking about what Fabien might ask for, Mary felt her heart beat faster. If Fabien really wanted to make out with her, then what should she do?

Just as Mary was in a dilemma, Fabien turned around and left.

“Mary, I’ll go back first. You should hurry home too! Call me if there’s anything else.”

Looking at Fabien’s departing figure, Mary was shocked. Fabien didn’t stay behind, nor did he ask her to do anything.

Could it be that her guess was wrong?

For some reason, Mary’s heart suddenly felt empty. Although Fabien shouldered the debts, she wasn’t happy at all.

Returning to the clinic, Fabien sat down on a chair and fell into deep thought.

75 thousand dollars was not a small amount and Fabien only had around 30 thousand dollars in his hands. If he wanted to pay back the 75 thousand dollars, he would have to raise another 45 thousand dollars.

But how was he going to get this 45 thousand dollars?

Was he going to borrow money?

Fabien immediately rejected this idea. Most of the villagers in his village were very poor. The only few rich families were stingy so there was no way he could borrow any money from them.

Since he can’t borrow the money, he would have to think of ways to earn money.

But how could he get 45 thousand dollars in a short week?

Fabien pondered for a long time, and finally, he thought of one method, and that was the new village chief, Sandra!

Other than the few wealthy households in the village, only this newly appointed village chief had the ability to fork out so much money.

To be able to become the village chief at such a young age, nobody would believe that Sandra’s family did not have some background!

Moreover, the clothes that she wore were all branded, especially the watch on her hand.

Although Fabien did not know much about watches, he knew the brand of the watch, Omega as this was a famous watch brand. Any watch from there would cost tens of thousands of dollars, and the expensive ones might go up to hundreds of thousands of dollars!

Since she was able to afford such an expensive watch, she would definitely be able to take out 45 thousand dollars.

Thinking of this, Fabien made up his mind. Anyway, Sandra still owed him a favor so if worse comes to worst, he could use this favor to borrow money from her. Of course, he would return the money to her after some time.

After the problem was solved, Fabien immediately heaved a sigh of relief. He got up and stretched before returning to his bedroom and getting ready to go to bed.

Just as he laid down on the bed, a feminine scent wafted into his nose. He did not know if it was left behind by Yvonne or Mary.

As he submerged himself into this intoxicating scent, he started to regret in his heart.

If he had known earlier, he would not have let Yvonne leave then he would not have to suffer from insomnia alone.

The night passed. The next morning, Fabien hurriedly ate something and went to the village committee to look for Sandra.

Halfway there, he saw a youth, Lucas, carrying a dead chicken home in high spirits and he could not help but ask.

“Lucas, where did you get the chicken?”

Lucas’ family was poor so usually, if it was not during festivals, he would not be able to enjoy such a delicacy.

“Hehe, this is a pheasant that I picked up from the mountain. One of the pheasant’s wings was injured, so I smashed it to death with a rock!” Lucas laughed proudly.

Hearing his words, Fabien’s eyes immediately lit up. “Pheasants from the mountain? Are there many of them?”

“There are quite a lot of them, but they are too difficult to catch!” Lucas shook his head and said, “Moreover, those pheasants are all over the rocky hills. If you are not careful, you will fall and get injured. It is very difficult to catch them!”

“Hehe, that’s true, those pheasants aren’t easy to catch. Lucas, hurry up and go home. Eat some meat to grow stronger. Look at how thin you are!” Fabien laughed.

After Lucas had Left, Fabien pondered for a few seconds before turning around and returning to the clinic.

That’s right, it was indeed very difficult to catch pheasants, but that was for ordinary people. For someone as agile as Fabien, it wasn’t necessarily impossible to catch them!

Fabien had already thought it through. Since there were pheasants to catch, then he didn’t really have to borrow money from Sandra.

If he borrowed money from Sandra, he would have to return the money he borrowed, and he would also lose one of the conditions that Sandra had agreed to.

Sandra was so beautiful and had such a good figure so Fabien really wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to be intimate with her.

Although he couldn’t get his hands on her, taking advantage of her was enough for him to brag. A dignified village chief being taken advantage of by him makes him excited just thinking about it!

After returning to the clinic, Fabien went to the room in the backyard where the sundries were stored and searched for a large bamboo basket.

He took some corn kernels, put them into a plastic bag, and carried them up the mountain.

When he reached the back of the mountain, Fabien followed Lucas’ instructions and headed straight for the rocky hills.

Fabien rarely came here so he wouldn’t have known that there were many pheasants here if Lucas hadn’t told him.

When he arrived at the rocky hills, he saw a few pheasants flailing about before he could put down the basket.

The pheasants weren’t afraid even when they saw people coming because the terrain was steep. Ordinary people would have to be careful when walking in it so there was no way for them to catch the pheasants.

Fabien’s eyes lit up, these pheasants were like stacks of banknotes in his eyes!

The rich people in the county were all tired of eating domesticated chickens and all of them wanted to eat wild game. If these pheasants were to be sold, they would definitely be able to fetch a good price!

Fabien searched around and found a place with relatively flat terrain. He sprinkled some corn kernels on it while he a small distance away, with a huge bamboo basket beside him.

As if they sensed the fragrance of the corn kernels, the pheasants not too far away flew over.

However, seeing that there were people nearby, the pheasants didn’t dare to come over. They only circled around and stared at Fabien.

Fabien treated himself as a statue and stood there motionlessly.

A few minutes later, the pheasants saw that Fabien wasn’t moving, so they became much bolder. Two of the pheasants took the lead and walked up to the big rock and started eating with kernels.

Seeing these two pheasants happily eating, the other pheasants couldn’t hold it in any longer and flapped their wings as they flew over.

Very quickly, all the pheasants stood on the big rock and began to eat their corn.

Seeing this scene, a smile appeared on Fabien’s face. Following that, he quickly appeared in front of the pheasants in the blink of an eye and slammed the bamboo basket in his hand fiercely towards them!

Instantly, these pheasants became his captives. They were trapped in the bamboo basket and could not escape no matter how hard they flapped their wings.

Only when they were tired of flapping their wings did Fabien pick up the lid and cover the bamboo basket. He had caught five pheasants!

Looking at how the pheasants were still struggling in the bamboo basket, Fabien’s face was filled with excitement.

This pheasant should at least be sold for around 30 dollars. In this way, five pheasants were equivalent to 150 dollars!

As long as he worked hard for a few days and caught more pheasants, that 4,500 dollars may not be impossible to earn!
