1578 Please Spare Me

So, everyone turned around again to attack the Velociraptor that had been just awoken by its owner.

"Deadly Kill!"

Everyone's hearts skipped a beat. Everyone knew that the Boss was using that skill again to behead someone.

Last time it was Lu Li. This time they didn't know who would be the unlucky one.

This Boss appeared to have many abnormal techniques. For example, beheading a person, or looking at someone to death.

"It's me!" Sesame Rice Ball cried out.

Because he didn't want to feel the fear of being beheaded that he even lowered his damage output. Even though he was no longer in the top 5 Aggro rankings, the Boss still cut off his head anyway.

In any case, they definitely weren't going to kill the Boss on the first go, so any sort of attempt was meaningful. Sesame Rice Ball fell to the ground without his head which rolled to the side. They didn't know if it would affect the souls revival of him, so everyone left his head be. They didn't kick it away, nor did they try to put it back on his shoulders.

The rest of the seven souls slowly moved out.

One of the souls slowly moved toward Sesame Rice Ball's body. But Ohgan threw itself towards the soul, clearly trying to stop it.

How could they let the Velociraptor stop the soul? Even though Sesame Rice Ball's revival will most likely strengthen the Boss's abilities, one less powerful damage output in the battle would be even worse. Hence, the Velociraptor was killed again.

Sesame Rice Ball was revived, and The Boss's abilities were strengthened as well.

"Fat Monkey, I am watching you!!!"

Fat Monkey's face went pale, "Stuff you! Please spare me!"

Then Fat Monkey died. The Boss had just made a statement to everyone. Even if you swear or beg, you still couldn't change your fate of being killed by him.

Everyone had started to find patterns. Bloodlord Mandokir's skills were gradually being revealed too. His beheading ability was a very awesome and unique skill. Anyone can be beheaded by his sword, and the choice of victim was random. It could be damage output professions, healers and even Azure Sea Breeze was chosen once.

If Wandering could not taunt the Boss fast enough, then they'd already be destroyed as a team for the first time.

Also, with the Boss's gaze, it appeared to be a rather terrifying skill at first, even more so than the beheading. Afterall, once you were beheaded you could still be revived by a soul, but once you've been stared at to death, it was over.

However, Lu Li later found a way to solve this issue.

Whenever the player was looked at by Bloodlord Mandokir, they needed to stop certain actions. They couldn't deal damage, heal, and express themselves. If they made any movements during that period of time, once the skill duration ends, the Boss would deal fatal damage.

So, it's best to not do anything once looked upon.

This duration of the ability from start to finish went on for eight seconds. Once the eight seconds were over, then it would be okay.

The other thing was once a player was beheaded and revived, the Boss's abilities will become stronger. The earlier stages weren't an issue in terms of its strength, but once the battle progressed even further, everyone felt the pressure gradually increase.

Once the last soul was used up, the Boss's attack and defence had exceeded any of the previous Bosses.

"Let's just get wiped and start over," Lu Li said reluctantly.

There were only three souls left, meaning that there were three chances left for revival after being beheaded. Evidently, the number of people killed were too many. Everyone was out of abilities to kill Ohgan to prevent it from attacking souls.

The players attempted to defeat the Boss a second time. They now had the knowledge from the previous fight, and Lu Li can manage the fight with more confidence.

"Damage dealers, make sure you kill Ohgan in the fastest way possible then attack the Boss. Breezy pull the monsters. Wandering, take the Aggro after Breezy has been hit with fear. We need to get rid of the Boss as soon as possible. If we don't, once we get to the end, we definitely won't be able to kill him."

"Water Fairy, I am looking at you!!!!"

"Don't move! Don't do anything. Don't turn your head. Don't make any expressions. Yep. That's good, keep going…" Lu Li rambled.

"Hey, are you done? We've dealt with the Boss's gaze once already. And we were successful. Honestly do you need to be nag so much?" Someone grumbled. Shameless Lu has really been too much lately. He would treat people differently and unpredictably.

"Ahem, Wandering focus on Aggro. The Boss intends to use his skills every time it stops using its weapon," Lu Li changed topics quickly.

The Boss used a couple of abilities randomly, and there weren't any obvious stages. It just required everyone to reduce fighting time as much as possible. So, everyone was doing their best to deal damage and strived to finish the battle before the Boss's abilities strengthened to a point that they couldn't handle.

Sadly, Ohgan was just revived and was killed again.

Once the souls were down to four left, the Boss's HP also started to go down.

"If all goes to plan, we can kill it this time. Everyone get your burst skills and potions ready. In case it goes berserk, it'll come in handy," Lu Li sighed as he spoke, "I suspect that the Boss will use its skills frequently when he berserks."

Everyone was hopeful when they heard the first half but was a little worried after hearing the second half.

"If the skills are used frequently, what would happen?" Wandering asked abstrusely. Everyone had already suffered from those skills before. If they became more frequent, how would they survive?

"Then let's pray that he doesn't go berserk or that it'll only use normal attacks," Lu Li helplessly hoped.

Unfortunately, their prayers didn't have any effect.

Bloodlord Mandokir didn't spare them any face and went berserk. Plus, he used beheading and deadly gaze frequently.

"Stop attacking Ohgan! Focus your damage on the Boss! Kill it if you can, otherwise we'll have to try again," Lu Li made a decision. This meant that those beheaded wouldn't be revived.

He didn't have any alternatives to this choice. This was the only possible choice from the current situation.

If the beheaded were revived, the Bloodlord Mandokir would become even stronger. After it became berserk, it was almost unnaturally strong. If it strengthened its abilities, even Azure Sea Breeze wouldn't be able to handle it. Moreover, if everyone turned to focus their damage on Ohgan, then the Boss will have more opportunities to use its skills.

They may as well make a final effort to defeat the boss. If they did kill the Boss with their one in a million odds, then it would naturally mean victory.
