Chapter 113: RPG-like Leveling Training In Monster's Abode (15)

Alex's PoV:

I'm not sure if the system was mocking me right now but I'm sure that this skill was one hell trash that was upgraded to suit its rank as legendary rank.

*The host's luck has improved indeed! The host is so lucky to acquire one of the strongest legendary rank body enhancement skill series!*

Lucky my *ss! If that was lucky then what's bad luck then?

*If it's bad luck, then the host might have acquired a body enhancement skill in the host's anus or appendix.*

I'm now sure that this system was mocking me!

Why didn't I obtain the eye skill in the so-called 'body enhancement' skill series?

*If the host had acquired that kind of skill, then why would the system tell the host that the host is lucky? Why not is the host having heaven-defying luck?*

Made some sort of sense but I'm looking forward to acquiring the eye skill of the 'body enhancement' series.

I might be able to have x-ray vision if I obtained the legendary rank eye skill.

The system, was there any skill in the 'body enhancement' series that enhanced the mouth or the stomach?

*The host is right. The body enhancement series would be able to enhance any part of the body.*

Oh, by the way, system, did you know what's so special about the forest spirit that I had even triggered a hidden mission just because of it?

*Yes. The forest spirit has a lot of potential in its later levels and it might have a great evolution that would be incomparable to other members of its race.*

Was it possible if the first spirit would be able to evolve into a high-rank spirit and might even obtain a corporeal body?

*The host has correctly guessed the potential of the forest spirit.*

If that's the case, then I might as well put some effort into raising the forest spirit.

"Distere and Ferros, let's combine our strength to deal with the arrays in this forest while Catherine will give Grace a piggyback ride since Grace is still fast asleep."

The three of them nodded and it seemed that they had nothing against me in bossing and commanding them all the time.

Catherine carried Grace in her back while Ferros, Distere, and I went near the array that messed up with the senses.

I materialized a sword using my mana and performed my sword technique to deflect the effects of the array.

After I created an opening in the array, Distere and Ferros quickly ran towards the protective array and launched their attacks towards the protective array.

Distere directed his mana towards his kitchen knife and concentrated his mana on his kitchen knife to improve its attack power.

Ferros channeled some of his mana in his right hand and activated his destruction magic to apply it towards his mana to improve its destruction power.

Distere and Ferros attacked the protective array at the same time which caused the protective array to completely shatter, leaving no parts of the protective left.

Since the protective array was destroyed completely, the regenerative property of the array was greatly affected which caused its regeneration speed to decrease.

The protective array slowly regenerated and it attracted the shards of the protective array that was shattered from its barrier to increasing its recovery speed.

"Let's enter it quickly before the protective array would fully regenerate!"

I commanded Distere, Ferros, and Catherine and the three of them quickly went towards the protective array that was destroyed.

Distere, Ferros and Catherine oddly made a slight turn and we're currently running in a diagonal direction instead of going straight towards the protective array.

I deflected the effects of the other array since it wasn't destroyed and was trying to affect the sense of direction of my teammates.

After the array's effect was deflected, my teammates were able to successfully pass through the destroyed protective array.

I followed my teammates and entered the destroyed protective array which brought me and my teammates to another part of the forest.

The part of the forest that we had entered had only grass and trees within it and no monsters were in there.

There weren't even one of the heroes in there that needed my help or something like that.

"How about we passed through that protective array and see if there's a monster or heroin there?"

Distere asked and suggested our next action.

"Okay. You and Ferros will focus again on destroying the protective array while I'll take care of the sense of direction messing array or whatever it is called. Catherine will only take care of the unconscious Grace."

I went towards the array and used my materialized mana sword to deflect the effects of the array.

Distere and Ferros assaulted the protective array with their attacks which destroyed the protective array.

The protective array was opened so Distere, Ferros, Catherine, and I entered it.

We were brought to another part of the forest and I saw Satomi in there.

It seemed that Satomi had already taken care of the monster that he had fought against because the bones of the monster were scattered in the ground.

Satomi noticed that we had entered this part of the forest where he had fought against a monster.

"What brings you here?"

Satomi faced my teammates and me and asked us in a cold and tired voice.

I guessed that Satomi had gone through a lot just to defeat the monster that he had fought against before.

That made some sense since I had observed the corpse of the monster and only bones were left and some of the monster's bones were shattered.

Satomi might have brutally killed the monster due to his anger against it.

If my guess was right, then Satomi had died a lot of times and suffered from a lot of pain so he mercilessly killed the monster to vent his anger.

I observed Satomi for a while and discovered that the aura he was emitting was different from before.

His aura was similar to those that had enough of the world that they were living at and wanted to disappear from the world.

My teammates and I had not answered Satomi's question yet so he was staring at us with weary eyes, waiting for us to answer him.

"The five of us had defeated the monsters so we were planning on regrouping all of the heroes and just in time that we had found you.", I replied to Satomi.

Satomi went silent for a while before lying on the ground filled with grass to take a rest.

"What would happen if all of us are at the same place together? Will there be another boss fight?"

Satomi asked while he was rolling on the ground, enjoying it.

I don't know if that's how Satomi relieved his exhaustion and stress but he seemed to be enjoying it so I didn't bother to interrupt his childish activity.

What would indeed happen after all of us defeated the monster and were in the same place together?

Satomi's question might be right. Considering Axel's personality, he might have already planned the event after our solo battle against the monsters.

But I ruined the 'solo' battle of the other summoned heroes since I interfered and helped them defeat the monsters that they were assigned to deal with.

I just hoped that Axel wouldn't hold a grudge against the things I had done.

The forest spirit might be Axel's possession so I might have offended him because of that.

Anyways, I'll just think about that later. Right now, my main goal was to recover the mana that I had consumed.

As long as I'm at my peak strength, I should be able to defeat any monster that comes my way.

"Let's recover our strength first so that we would be able to have the power to escape from danger."

I suggested to my teammates and they all agreed.

I sat down on the ground with my legs crossed and meditated while recovering my mana

Distere and Ferros sat beside me and the three of us started to recover our mana.

Catherine softly placed Grace on the ground and meditated to recover her mana.

Satomi also followed us but he was recovering his mana while he was lying on the ground instead of sitting.

The five of us were recovering our mana while Grace was still unconscious.

Axel's PoV:

I was currently 5 kilometers away from my teammates and the junior heroes but was still within the Monster's Abode.

I was trying to find a level 4,000 monster so that the junior heroes would be able to fight against a much more powerful monster than the monster that the junior heroes had fought before.

Five of the monsters that I had contracted with had died but except for one monster which was the forest spirit.

I saw before that Alex had contracted the forest spirit which was quite odd since I had already signed a contract with the forest spirit.

I didn't mind it that much since the forest spirit had a low level.

After all, I would be able to at least let Alex pay the price for voiding my contract with the forest spirit by holding the 'last test' for the junior heroes.
