Chapter 224: Conclusion Against the Six Horns

Name:The Gamer's System Author:Campoccino
The first one to come at Zeke was Drakhal. This much was to be expected as this specific six horn was a melee fighter. As Zeke expected the monster was more powerful up close than when it was simply swinging it from a longer range. In fact, if Zeke didn't have a barrier set up, he would've definitely been cut by multiple times as every swing made by Drakhal up close had the same effect of the invisible slashes.

"Why do you have that form?" This were the first words uttered by the six horned monster Drakhal as he continued in a furry of slashes. With Zeke deflecting every one while relying on his barrier to save him from the skill shots that come after every swing.

"I have no idea what you're getting at exactly." Zeke simply said in reply as he was forced to use the halberd of the Blood King. The only usable weapon whenever he turned to that state right after using [Curse of the Blood King].

"Don't bother questioning him now Drakhal, he may just as well lie with his words." Chie'ron said in reply releasing gravitational bindings once again. However, with all of his attributes skyrocketing, Zeke found no trouble in continuing to move.

In fact, Zeke only needed to increase his output of mana in order to shatter the gravitational spell binding him down. This made the [Chaos Warlock] change its attack patterns, charging up an attack as it was difficult firing anything with Drakhal nearby.

"I'll extract every bit of information on him as soon as he's dead. All you have to do is to make sure that it'd be that way." The warlock continued, finally casting a spell which seemed to empower Drakhal's blade.

Zeke noticed this of course. The sudden strengthening of the monster's weapon which made him even cautious. Thus the gamer dodged the next full swing of Drakhal which seemed to have a bit of lag compared to the monster's earlier swings. Something which was explained by the succeeding events.

As soon as Drakhal's blade hit the ground, it shattered completely. It was as if a gigantic meteorite fell upon it. Making Zeke understand that, he should minimize a full exchange of blows against the monster.

"Why are you holding back? Finish him already!" Chie'ron commanded.

"I'll finish him as soon as he answers my questions you damn old fool." Drakhal said in reply, blocking every skill shot released by Zeke through the use of its sword.

"Why do you even need that? I already told you that its my job to interrogate him afterwards." Chie'ron furthered as the creature finally found an opening. Attacking Zeke because of the gap between him and Drakhal.

"I'll stop questioning him as soon as he gives me the answers I need." Drakhal responded to Chie'ron as the creature observed Zeke.

"That man was the only creature who made me release the blades on my waist. The only creature to make me feel the trill of battle and even leave a permanent scar on my chest. Now tell me…"Drakhal continued, finally releasing the maximum amount of power that he could in his form.

"…are you or are you not the Blood King?"

Forget even hitting him, Zeke knew that just getting close would get himself cut. He didn't even have time to answer the monster's question as Drakhal charged up once again. Zeke tried avoiding but all his movements were sluggish compared to the powered up Drakhal.

With a single swing of the monster's blade, Zeke was sent flying back to the mountain which the gamer himself destroyed. He came crashing through the rocks but nevertheless emerged with little to no damage as [Regeneration] and all his passive healings did their work.

Slashes soon followed this leaving no time for Zeke to go back to where Drakhal is. The attacks came like a barrage of bullets that seemed to have no end. Even the rocks which were already smashed to bits got cut even further, suggesting how sharp the attack was.

"I ask you again. If you are still alive after this attack answer me! Are you the Blood King or not?" Drakhal mentioned once again. Suggesting that he even held back on the earlier attack as he wished to test Zeke out. This was how strong Drakhal's powerup was.

The gamer emerged from the rubble once again. All the damage done to him seemed to have disappeared as began walking back to his opponent. Deciding to also powerup himself.

"Ever since we started this battle, I had no idea what you've been talking about. In fact I still have no clue who you are referring to. But, if you're asking that simply because you want to assert my skill level then I assure you, I won't disappoint." Zeke also released more power than before.

He was actually reserving most of his strength, thinking that Pier may have his eyes looking on the fight. If this was the case then, Zeke couldn't possibly show all his cards yet. Pier would have countermeasures prepared if he did and, this was something which Zeke wanted to avoid as he himself had no idea of all the skill possessed by the God of Mischief and Deceit.

That's why the gamer decided to simply release [50%] of his maximum power. An amount enough to overpower a whole horde of Gallio's if Zeke was ever pitted to such a situation.

The six horned Drakhal laughed hysterically at the sight of his enemy and, even Chie'ron could feel it. A sensation that told them that, their enemy was not to be taken lightly. That, if they wanted to get out of that fight alive, then they needed to exert as much effort as they possibly could.

"You are not him and yet you make my body boil in excitement! Terrific!" It was at this point that Drakhal finally released his weapon. The greatsword split into two longswords. Meanwhile, the sheathed swords got attached to the hilt, extending the reach of Drakhal's weapon even further as its true form was finally released.

Scales covered the other arm of the monster, evenly matching the armor on the right arm and shoulder. It held the gigantic custom glaive on both hands and, even before they began exchanging blows, Zeke knew that he was in for a ton of excitement.

"You are the second mortal that I've showed this form to." Drakhal said as he went into stance, one which Zeke has never seen before. With both the monster's arms resting at its back.

"Do not prove my decision to be wrong."

Zeke immediately activated [Overdrive] and added [Shadow Dive]. His body instinctively reacted the moment Drakhal made his first movement. A decision which proved to be correct as, even with the distance created, he was still cut on the cheek.

"There's at least half a kilometer's worth of distance between us. How did that reach?" This was the thought that run through the gamer's head. One which found no answer as Drakhal continued attacking Zeke.

Little by little, the gamer was accumulating damage. And not the ordinary kind because, his regenerative skills weren't working properly. Suggesting that it was also infused with a thick amount of [Chaos Energy].

"Is dodging all that you are good at boy!" Drakhal taunted, not showing any mercy as it continued with its barrage of blows. With every strike intended to end the life of Zeke. Although the taunting was ineffective, Zeke knew that he did need to strike soon.

"His attacks are meant to create distance." The gamer [Shadow Dived] to two swords, throwing them even before his cursed form could corrupt them.

"If this is so then I may have a chance at close range." The gamer continued the same feat, touching even more weapons left by the dead monsters and throwing them right away.

"Though it may also be a trap but, I could probably handle anything he set up for me." Zeke continued, finally setting everything up for his attack as he touched and threw the last set of weapons.

"Are you not going to attack!" Drakhal demanded and, it was at this point that Zek granted the monster's request.

"I'll be borrowing your skill o' tyrant king." He thought to himself as he finally began his assault.

Zeke [Shadow Dived] to a nearby sword, activating [Flash Rush] right away in order to close the distance between him and Drakhal. The monster was able to catch up and made quick swings that seemed to almost match the lashes of whips. Zeke evaded however by continuously [Shadow Diving] to the weapons he scattered around the battlefield, using [Flash Rush] to increase his speed even more.

However, this was not all that he did. In the blink of an eye, Zeke closed the distance between him and Drakhal, holding on to one dull blade that began corroding as soon as he touched it – with the curse of the Blood King rejecting the weapon.

Zeke was able to make a swing that was deflect by Drakhal as the monster used the hilt blades to counter. The gamer dodged by [Shadow Diving] away and grabbing two more weapons. Throwing the first one at Drakhal in order to [Dive] to while the other was used to swing.

Drakhal successfully deflected this yet again but, the attack didn't end there. Zeke proceeded to using the same pattern over and over again. As soon as Drakhal caught on to the combination, Zeke would step things up and throw two. And when Drakhal got used to this, the gamer threw three. This was how Zeke extended the combination which tired the monster out little by little.

Chie'ron could not do a single thing against this as all the movements were too fast. That's why he decided to just muster enough energy for one final attack. Deciding to kill even Drakhal for the sake of eradicating their enemy.

Little did this creature know that, Drakhal was slowly losing the battle of aggression. Zeke was getting stronger with every swing of the blades he used. They broke of course but, this was not the end goal.

Cuts were being made one by one until, Drakhal finally created enough lag between his movements. This was an opening that the gamer did not miss and one which made the melee six horn understand the fate that awaited it.

Zeke finally used the halberd of the Blood King that thrusted thorough Drakhal. The monster began losing consciousness soon after as it began dropping to the ground. Witnessing the final moments of the fight before its eyes closed completely.

The gamer immediately took off the halberd. Chie'ron's spell was ready at this point but it didn't matter because, Zeke was faster. The gamer threw the halberd that seemed to vanish. Only to reaper shattering Chie'ron's barrier and piercing through the monster's chest.

"T-tell me your name warrior." Drakhal requested, with his life lasting for only seconds. Zeke knew that it was still an enemy yet, it was one that was close to death. There was no use in hi, hiding his identity to such a creature so, he looked straight at it as he said:

"Zeke Elwood. The Gamer."
