Chapter 198: Cleaning Up The Trash

Samael.

This is the [Conjure] that held all the experiences of Zeke on his first run. It was the culmination of all he was and the things he went through. The strongest among all of his summons.

The only reason why the [Knight Conjures] were strong was because of the equipment which Zeke handed to them. Those which were made from all the materials he gathered by conquering the four continents. Mainly composed of the parts of the [Chaos Dragons].

The same goes for the elites who enjoyed a large power boost because their equipment complimented their job classes well. All thanks to Zeke and his forging skills that made this all happen.

Yet Samael was different. Even without these items, he was strong enough to be on par with them. And as soon as Zeke got this [Conjure] back to his side, he made sure that all the necessary items were given to it. Making Samael reach a level which he believed was even higher than even Heron and Morpheus.

Indeed, Samael was not a creature to be trifled with. Although merely a summon, it was basically Zeke's shadow. One which followed him throughout his whole journey.

This same creature walked gallantly. About to face an over assuming human.

"Don't kill him." Was Zeke's last order as Samael's eyes gleamed with the bright yellow color that it always had. All joints that were left open revealed the blazing sunlight which was the color of the god of flames. At that moment, it was only Jake who didn't know the predicament he awoke.

"I made you move didn't I? Well that's unfortunate for you because today is also the day that you'll – " Jake couldn't even finish what he was saying.

He didn't even see what happened as he lost consciousness. Most of his head was destroyed by the blow that didn't even make Samael take out its sword. The [Conjure] planted Jake's head to the ground which made the other members lose their focus.

"Jake!" Kaguya responded immediately by creating another [Oblivion]. Small enough to have a condensed amount of force which stopped Samael from its tracks. Planting its shield to the ground as a form of pillar that prevented it from getting sucked by Kaguya's skill.

Curio responded right away, moving in to Jake's location and teleporting away using [Dummy Swap]. This was a skill that allowed him to switch places with any object within the surroundings. A better version of [Weapon Blink] because of the number of items that could be used for the skill activation.

"Red, heal him right away." Kaguya commanded, with the healer being more than happy to comply.

With Samael entering the picture things have changed from bad to worse. With Jake being taken down, it meant that the two other knights that he held down were free to move. Adding to the number of enemies which the rest of the team needed to face.

Kaguya herself couldn't focus on attacking because she was busy giving the commands. She thought of how easily Quinn did this for them and, how burdensome it must have been for their leader who went away.

"Everyone regroup!" Kaguya commanded through the [Voice Chat] which muted out Zeke.

"Merlin created an illusion." She followed up. With the quick-witted wizard immediately performing his task. This was for the sake of making their enemies unable to move freely.

"Zilg focus on setting up traps. Make use of Horus' smaller summons as the containers of the [Detonate] and scatter them all around the area. Make sure that they explode as soon as the knights come close."

"Aye Aye!" Zilg said in reply. Excited with the plan that involved a lot of explosions again as he moved closer to the summoner of the team.

"Amare you take charge for now." This was the last command given by Kaguya who decided that, focusing on fighting was probably the best route for her to take.

Zeke assessed everything seriously. He looked at the data, disappointed right away from Jake's lack of cooperation. Unfortunately, the javelin user only listened to Quinn. With him out of the picture, Jake became a wildcard. A weapon which was sharp yet useless due to the inefficiency on the field.

It was like having a longsword in the middle of a small room. No matter how sharp a sword is, if the situation does not fit the weapon, then it is nothing but trash.

"You're going to be the main reason why your team lost this day. I hope you realize that when you wake up kid." Zeke thought to himself, observing the dark mana which was condensing at a single spot. Even without having to look, he knew who performed this. It was Kaguya.

"Give me some time. Focus on defending for now." She said as everyone felt her getting stronger by the minute. The marking on her hand glowing even more than before entailing that, she was about to use the maximum amount which could be offered by Nisha's blessing.

Amare did as told. Commanding all the elites who were more than willing to follow. Meanwhile, Jake was just regaining consciousness. Something which the group was thankful for because they needed as much help as they could get in the fight.

"Damn, this is really frustrating. To think that mere summons could corner us like this." Gerard commented. With all of the defenders creating a large barrier that protected them from the attacks as the healers aided them. Various barriers were also scattered all around in order to further confuse the enemies.

"Well this isn't the first time at least. Plus it's good that we have these on our side during the real fights." Eerie said in reply, preparing the [Cores] which could fire thousands of bullets on the enemies.

The [Conjures] didn't allow this to last for long as they began destroying the extra barriers. Samael led the charge who didn't even to take the defensive measure seriously. Shattering them without any effort.

Meanwhile, Amare was rallying orders one by one, disregarding Kaguya who said that she would work on her own. Zilg's explosions came up next, dealing some damage to the enemies while Gawain tried shooting them down.

"Damn they're closing in fast!" Gawain said, seeing almost as well as Amare who knew that it was only a matter of time before the [Knight Conjures] pinpointed them. And it was at this exact moment that a wave of darkness surged all over the room. Surprising even Zeke who felt a dangerous entity being born from the trial.

"To think that you had something like this. I'm impressed." The gamer said, watching Kaguya who was clad in oozing darkness. Her hand holding on to a rapier formed out of darkness.

Even the elites got surprised and had all the hair on their skin raising instinctively. As Kaguya looked at them, her eyes were hollow. Completely black in color, as if it could sallow everything it stares on. Then, without uttering a single word, Kaguya vanished.

What came next was a display that the other elites didn't expect to see. In fact, they weren't even sure what they were looking at exactly. Kaguya appeared all over the room. With her shadow masking the whole grounds of the terrain. Various shadow like figure taking her form attacked the [Conjured Knights] who couldn't even fight back as, every time they attacked these, the shadows would simply vanish. Damaging them while not being able to deal any damage themselves.

"Follow Kaguya's lead!" Amare commanded, with everyone heated up from their leader's display.

Eerie threw all her reserved cores to the sky. Beginning a rain of bullets that hindered the enemies from moving freely. Zane and Merlin proceeded to a barrage of spell shots while Lizzie focused on empowering all her allies.

Jake woke up just in time to join in on the fight once again. Releasing [Impale] once again which helped in adding the damage sustained by the [Conjures].

"Just a little bit more guys. We've made them fall below [40%] health! We can win this!" Amare said, raising the morale of the group even further who didn't mind all their muscles feeling sore. With the sudden momentum created by Kaguya, the elites were finally beginning to win…

…or so they thought.

Samael finally began fighting back, beginning with the release of its blade that burned a crimson red color. Jake took notice of this and tried attacking. Only to be stopped once again by two [Conjured Knights]. The others also took notice and tried taking it down but Kezel and Kayle handled these.

With Samael being entirely secured, the creature released a horizontal slash. This contained a burning red color and it would've been evadable if not for its size that almost covered the whole area.

"You're kidding right?" Vostok said as all the defenders tried their best to create a shield that could withstand the attack.

Their effort was futile as the skill shattered the barriers one by one. This forced the elites to go on the defensive once more. With Kaguya using up the remainder of her skill time to cast an [Oblivion] just as large. Making her faint out cold right after and tipping the balance once again in favor of the [Conjures].

This wasn't even the end of their problems. With Samael's attack damaging even the other [Conjures], they finally turned to their final form. One which Zeke wanted to also [Analyze].

Leaving no traces of their knight – like appearance. The [Conjures] turned into monstrosities with flesh seeming to burn within their frames. These were the [Infernals].

Everything else happened in a flash. A horrible flash that burned their bodies as much as it crushed all their bones and charred their flesh. Zeke's [Infernals] mercilessly took down the elites who began screaming in agonizing pain. One which they have never experienced before nor would they want to experience it again.

Shouting for help.

Surrendering.

Crawling away.

All of these were normal reactions to such nightmare-like creatures who had the strength to back up their looks. Zeke's expression was still dull while all this took place. Sighing as he decided that all hope was lost for the elites on the fight.

Hence, the gamer snapped his fingers. Taking back all the infernals while there was still a bit of consciousness left for them to hear him. In fact, the gamer didn't even talk to them directly anymore. He simply ordered Heron and Morpheus something that everyone vividly heard.

"Clean the trash. I've got no need for them."
