Chapter 114: Testing Equipments

Name:The Gamer's System Author:Campoccino
Right after he destroyed all the scouts, Zeke's mind was in a constant buzz. There were a lot of things which were bothering him but, what shook him the most is how the Windsprites sigil was found on that specific letter.

It was strange and ominous at the same time. Nothing of the sort should have been there after all but, there it was. Reality struck him soon enough, telling him that the Windsprites are probably nearby and that, they won't be siding with him. What bothered him even more was how everything seemed to be staged. It was as if they knew he would attack and so, brought that to shake him up a bit.

But just as he was thinking of all these things, Heron suddenly messaged him. This broke Zeke's train of thought as the female dragon didn't even leave a second to know if Zeke is busy with anything. Her message is urgent and, badly needs his attention.

"Master they're making a lot of unreasonable demands here." She began.

Over the [Voice Chat] Zeke could hear a lot of shouting already. They sounded a lot like siblings fighting over the inheritance left by their deceased parents. Zeke sighed at this and decided to patch things up quickly before thinking of the Windsprites further.

"I'll be right there." Zeke replied, transporting out of the battlefield and into the front of the Elites' cabin.

Even as he stood just outside, Zeke could hear the loud noises made by the group. He heard things like "mine" and "trade" making him understand what it is that's going on.

"Ahh yes. I forgot to put labels on those items." Zeke thought to himself, opening the door in order to proceed to what needs to be done.

"Okay break it up you guys." Zeke said, seeing that even the strongest of the group are part of the little commotion. Everyone wants to have the best equipment after all or rather, the best-looking equipment. They don't have [Analyze] like Zeke does so nobody knows who owns which.

Of course, some items like the weapons, are distinguishable. But this only goes for single job class weapons. There is only one [Javelin] one pair of [Brass Knuckles] but other than that, there are plenty of [Shields], [Bows], and [Staffs] to go around.

"Sir that sick looking armor is mine right?" Jake said, gripping on to it tightly with three other members. Zeke's brows furrowed and he reached for the back of his neck.

"God you're like kids." He said to the group as he snapped his fingers, making the items teleport back to his inventory.

"Hey what gives man! I already had that,." Jake said, angry that he didn't get the awesome looking crimson armor.

Zeke then flicked his finger, sending a bullet of mana that hit Jake's forehead. He's not really in any mood to play with them but, he knows that he can't just vent all his irritation at them. So, Zeke simply gave that little pinch to relieve himself before continuing.

"The items are specified based on your job classes already. Unfortunately, it seems like the main deities forgot to give you eyes that could analyze or identify items." He began.

"Yeah but that badass armor is mine, right?" Mordred butted in, making her receive the same flick which Zeke gave to Jake. The female [Defender] is much sturdier however and, was able to prevent herself from falling down. But Zeke anticipated this and actually added another which caught Mordred off guard, sending her to the same fate as Jake.

"There won't be modifications nor would there be any trades that would be allowed. I made these things to fit your needs. These are free you dumbasses so accept it gratefully before I change my mind." Zeke said to the group.

"I don't mean to ask but, what makes you so sure that your equipment is better than ones made by the gods for us." Mordred said, getting back up.

"Yeah. I mean you're just as human as all of us are." Jake continued, although he forgot the fact that Zeke isn't necessarily a human anymore but an elf.

"Fair point." Zeke said, looking at Heron who automatically knew what she was supposed to do. Immediately, the mist of mana swirled around them and, in not less than a minute, the group got transported within her domain once [Cloud of Dreams].

"Here." Zeke said, throwing two shields to the pair. Jake held on to the old one while Mordred held the new shield made by Zeke.

"Hold on to those things as tight as you possibly can, They're the only things that'll stop me from killing you." Zeke continued, bringing out his twin pistols and loading a bullet each.

"Since you brought up the question. Let's test it out shall we." The gamer immediately saw the worried expression on Jake's face, motivating him to continue teasing them both.

"Don't worry, these are just test bullets."

"How do we know that you'll equally place mana on both?" Quinn asked, worried about his comrades. Zeke knew that this question would come however and, already prepared something for it.

"I'll let that lady put the mana on it so that everyone is sure that its an equal damage each." Zeke said motioning for Kaguya to come near. The female elite followed and soon enough, Jake couldn't stop breaking into cold sweat.

"Uhm…you're sure we're not going to die right?" Mordred said, still unsure of the defensive capabilities of Zeke's shield. And, making things worse was how Kaguya was used in order to load the bullets - the same elite who can eliminate a large number of enemies with just a single skill activation.

"I can patch you up right away so don't worry about the details." Zeke said which immediately received a bunch of complaints from the group.

"Anyone who makes another sound won't be getting a new equipment." Zeke declared, silencing the crowd while Jake and Mordred looked at all of them thinking how their own kind betrayed her when they needed it the most.

They both looked at Kaguya next. Out of all elites, she is the most caring after all. Their eyes pleaded that she lowers the output. But all Kaguya's eyes said was:

"I'm sorry I really want that staff."

"Okay that takes care of that." Please hold on to those shields and, place as much defensive skill as you want. You can decide to put some or none at all on mine. Zeke said and the humans began placing buffs. Saying the chants one by one but, even before they could move on to the third, Zeke fired, creating a blast so large that it looked a lot like a fireworks display.

Clouds of smoke soon followed and, right there still standing perfectly still is Mordred - unharmed. He didn't even fire on Jake and simply released both bullets on the shield he created.

"WHAT THE HELL MAN!?" Was Mordred's reply to what she just experienced.

"Calm down will you." Zeke replied, snapping his fingers and creating data sheets again. Each member of the elite was given one of these, showing them the numbers connected to what just happened.

"Okay now that we're done with all of that, let me explain things clearly. The gods can't intervene too much with the world. Even those three deities are limited in the number of blessings they can bestow upon you."

"What's that got to do with the little display you put on?" Zilg asked.

"Think about it kiddos. If they could simply bless a single human to the utmost limits, then there won't be any need for you guys to follow." Zeke placed his hand on his chest before continuing again.

"I myself would've bene enough for the mission. But that isn't the case. There are laws preventing them from doing all they want because even gods need to have restrictions. Oh, and don't even bother asking me how I know of this. I just do so zip it." Zeke said furthering his argument.

"These shields are made from one of the finest metals within Mythos. I cannot forge a new material which does not exist in this world but, I can combine the materials that do exist in order to create a weapon that doesn't. Hence the explanation for my pistols." He said, showing off his guns to the group.

"The same is true with that shield. Hey try placing your mana on it will you." Zeke ordered and, as Mordred did this, a blade came out from the tip of the shield.

"I observed all your fighting styles and, of course you can't improve that much in just a single day's worth of training. So, what I can do is provide you guys with equipment that greatly supplies whatever you lack. And from what I saw, that lassie there is fond of attacking although her job is a defender…." Zeke said, pointing at Mordred.

"Not that there's anything wrong with that of course. But if she wants to be that kind of defender, then she needs the proper weapon to back this up. Giving her both offense without reducing her amount off defense. Zeke said, throwing Mordred's old armor toward her.

"Cut that for me will you." Doing as she is told, Mordred gladly slashed through the armor. The blade was able to cut through half it, stopping just before it could fully slice through the item.

"That was given to you by the gods and look just how much it could protect you." Zeke continued, sounding like someone who doesn't trust the gods at all. And he doesn't.

The elites wanted to ask him about why he spoke of the three deities so antagonistically but, Zeke cut them off. He told them that the training is over and that he's hungry. Giving him an excuse to stop the little skirmish and proceed to diner.
