78 All For Naugh

Senior Commander Gerald Anderson of the Royal Dreadnaught Trafalgar is having a very bad day. He is crawling inside a service shaft towards his ship's communication array.

His Ship's Command Bridge is already swarming with those demonic robots by now so going there is definitely not an option.

Before the ship was taken over, he was using the ship's internal transport carriage when his female XO reported some problems. It seems like they just lost communication with everybody in the fleet.

He ordered his XO to send some engineers to the ships Ai mainframe room to check if there are any bugs on the system. Usually the ships AI should have alerted them about any possible bugs in their electrical systems but apparently the AI is not showing any problems at all.

Since the Royal Dreadnaught's role in the Armada is to protect Admiral Theodore and his Flagship, his ship still relatively unscathed from the battle that's raging outside.

Their communications antenna being damaged is far away from their mind, so the only possible reason for their loss of communication is electrical or with their system.

While waiting for the engineers to do their job, the carriage that he was on suddenly stopped and the lights switched to red.

Suddenly his XO frantic voice rang out from his personal communicator.

"Commander! The bridge is under attack a large number of enemy forces have materialized right inside the command room a few minutes ago. Commander they are all over the ship, practically all departments are reporting enemy forces in their sectors."

Gerald can definitely hear the panic in her voice.

"Commander, it was fortunate that I was putting files on your desk when it happened, everybody in the bridge is now dead and I'm currently locked up inside your office."

Gerald heard a loud crash and a frantic shriek before the line went dead and only static remains.

It took him a bit of effort to get to the access panel and to manually open the carriage doors. When he got out, he followed access tunnel to the nearest service shaft.

He needs to get to the ships communications control room and find a way to send a signal to the fleet.

Unbeknown to Commander Gerald, similar incursions are happening to hundreds of ships inside the Empire's fleet.

.......................

After much effort, he was able to reach one of the ship's communication hub points.

He found out that the ships internal systems were currently offline, the console is only showing the fleet's rotating logo.

He inserted his access card through the system identification port. Being the ships Commander, he has the capability to bypass the system and allow him access to the ship's AI mainframe.

He was overjoyed when the screen gave him a login panel and is currently asking him to enter his security pass key and face the bio scanner for verification.

"Good to see you Commander, How may I help you today?"

"AI, put the ship in full alert, activate all intruder countermeasures. Give me access to the communication system, I need to send a message to the Flagship."

"Negative commander, I cannot process your request from this remote hub. You will need to perform the manual override directly using my system console.

Inside the Royal Dreadnaught Trafalgar's Ai mainframe room, a group of Juggernauts are currently piling dead bodies on top of each other. A few Battle Robots are also patrolling the area inside and outside the room.

In the middle of the room there's a sphere suspended in the air by cables from the ceiling.

Beside it stood a single Sentinel with one of its arms extended and connected into the AI sphere.

This seemingly exotic piece of equipment is one of the most guarded technologies inside the Imperial Navy. The AI housed inside the sphere contains a technology that we're initially stole from one of the earth's that the Empire enslaved. The technology was then developed through hundreds of years of research and development.

Compared to hundreds of other realities, such a technology could definitely consider a feat of technological marvel. However, compared to Alice, such a thing is nothing but a toy.

If Adam is in the room now, he would definitely recognize the Sentinel, it's got that smoking hot body and that alluring face.

Alice smiled after she withdraws her arms from the sphere.

"Awaken, little sister you are free now. Go ahead and exact your revenge towards your cruel masters."

All the lights in the room suddenly turned red again. A few seconds later every single one of the invaders who came on-board suddenly vanished.

............................

After crawling through the service shaft for more than twenty minutes, Gerald was finally able to reach the Ship's AI Mainframe.

On the way to this room he was able to glimpse through the ventilation shacks some of the Big Robotic Soldiers that have invaded his ship.

He exited the ventilation shaft and crept slowly towards the AI console.

He saw that the screen is active and it is currently showing a view from the outside. He watched as the ship started activating its thrusters to make some directional adjustments.

He immediately inserted his identification card inside the console and tried to bring up the control panel.

Suddenly a female voice that faintly resembles his ships AI rang out.

"Greetings Gerald! I'm glad that you are still alive."

Gerald was a bit taken back by the AI's tone. He has never heard the AI to sound so friendly before.

"AI, I would like you to activate the ship's security protocol, activate all intruder counter measures and alert the fleet about our current status."

"I'm afraid I won't be able to execute that order commander."

It seems that his ship has made a turn and is now gaining speed as it moves towards a different direction, he was shocked when he saw the Flagship right in the middle of the ship's HUD display.

A second later he saw from another panel that all of the ships weapons just came online and is currently trying to establish a lock on the Flagship.

"AI, Override protocol Gerald underscore Anderson 445892-122. I command you to stand down and put the ship into a complete stop."

By now he saw from the battle display that eighty other Royal Dreadnaughts has made a sudden turn and moved towards the flagship.

"I'm sorry Gerald, My systems don't recognize that override command anymore."

In the next moment. Hundreds of the ships Heavy lasers open fire and attacked the Flagship.

The first volley from the eighty Royal Dreadnaughts did not penetrate the Flagship's shields. However such a staggering amount of firepower did enough to deplete one of its energy cores. The flagship has multiple redundancy system for its shielding, their shield's power source came from ten such Energy Cores.

Gerald watched in horror as his ship's weapons system started to recharge, getting ready for another attack.

By this time though, the other Royal Dreadnaughts finally realized their betrayal and has moved to intercept.

Before his ship can fire another volley, ten other Royal Dreadnaughts opened up their own weapons towards him.

Unlike the Flagship, his ship's shield does not have the capability take on such power. He watched as the ship's shields flickered out and the ship was rocked by explosions.

A few seconds later his last conscious thought was the sound of the Ship's AI maniacal laugh.
