53 The Coup

Once in a while, Adam and the girls go out to hunt some more mutants. They go to some faraway lands and take out all the mutants and the zombie population in the area.

For his forces, Adam decided to create a battle group for each of the girls and another one for himself. This is done to organize his forces better.

Each battle group can work independently of each other or can combine and form a bigger group if it's necessary.

Each of the girls has a certain unit composition in their command. Each one of them now has a destroyer as their flagship. Just like their previous ships, they dubbed their new rides with their own names.

Each girl has these units under their battle group.

Adam's personal battle group is a bit bigger, but not by much.

The Destroyer is twice as big as the Frigates. Its weapons are a lot more powerful that the ones on the Frigates.

However, Destroyers are a bit slower compared to the smaller ship. It can still achieve astounding speeds but the Frigates can outrun them in a flat out sprint. Frigates are also a lot more manoeuvrable.

The bigger ship's weapons are also leaning towards heavier firepower with no regards to collateral damage. It can definitely kill an individual Mazoku, but the damage will also decimate the area around that mutant.

A fully charged blast of a single fire from the Destroyer's primary weapon is enough to collapse the defensive shield of the Frigate. Another shot can make a serious dent on its very tough armor plating.

The Destroyer is designed to engage other capital ships or military bases; they are not for small arms units.

After a few missions with the Destroyers, Adam realized that they still need Frigate's smaller weapons to take out lone individuals or even small groups of mutants on the ground.

Demolishing an entire building simply because there is a single mutant on the roof is a bit excessive.

Well actually...

Adam has to admit that the few times he did exactly that, is definitely fun. But it's not advisable if the said building is right beside some of your ground forces.

Destroyers are also the best for carrying other units aboard. The size of the Frigates makes it a cramped space when fully loaded with the other units.

The bigger ships can easily house the tanks and the gunships. Only a few tanks are left in the Frigates along with all the foot soldiers.

When Adam acquired more ships, a lot of the former commanders and soldiers from the three Factions volunteered to fight with Adam. Especially the guys from the Mafia and the Sun God, they are the ones who have lost a lot during the Mazoku rampage.

Adam was initially reluctant to allow them to take command of the ships but Alice gave him a very eye opening suggestion.

It seems that the Nano tech is ultimately Adam's skill. He has overall control of it.

Since all humans in their group are now infused with Nano bots, Adam can use them to monitor his people. Alice can keep an eye on them for him. He can use the same Nano bots that is supposed to enhance them to kill them instead if necessary.

In the future he can even use the advanced version of it to control their minds.

Two years passed. Adam and his group have expanded their influence way beyond the three faction's original territory.

The four islands are now a place where every member of their society hopes to someday reach.

The four islands inhabitants represent the first families who served Adam.

They view him as their true saviour. All of them will gladly sacrifice their lives for Adam. It's all genuine too, Adam have his ways to confirm it.

With all this success, they never stopped helping other humans. They usually send out a battle group to convince other people to join them, sometimes some of these missions are sent to save people too.

Eve and her battle group are in the process of taking a new group of humans from another settlement. They are the remaining survivors, from one of the cities in central Asia.

While Eve and her Destroyer are maintaining the high altitude for over watch, two of her frigates are on the ground to receive the survivors. Their side hanger doors are open and a ramp is set for the people on the ground.

Its protocol enforced by Alice. Adam commanded her that the girl's safety is her primary concern on these kinds of mission.

In the process of taking the survivors on board, one of their military commanders got the wise idea to take the ship for himself. He started talking to his soldiers and planned their move.

After the ship took off, he gave the signal to start their move. The staged a coup on board and killed all the ships people that are present inside the hanger. Most of those people are volunteers and are specializing in the medical field.

Once the hanger is secure, they started their way to the bridge.
