Chapter 195 - The Dragon

Chapter 195: The Dragon

Before Lenna could prepare, Aakesh snapped his fingers, and the next moment, they both disappeared from the store.

The other member in the Elven group sighed with a mix of emotions. They were happy that someone from their family was going to see a Dragon, while they were disappointed that they weren't the one.

Since Aakesh wasn't here, and they already had a card, they didn't need to ask for products from Aakesh. They could directly purchase it.

So, their first stop was the portal room. The Elves had to return disappointed as, despite the numbers of virtual portals increasing, not a single virtual portal was vacant.

They then noticed an open room, on the front of which there was a board that said, Weapons Room.

Since they didn't have anything to do, they decided to check it out.

After disappearing from the store, Aakesh and Lenna appeared in an empty space.

"What kind of Dragon do you want to see?" Aakesh expressionlessly asked since there were many species in the Dragon race.

Lenna, who was taken aback by the sudden disappearance, had a change in her expression when she heard the question Aakesh asked.

"Do-do I have a cho-choice?" She asked while her voice stuttered from shock.

Aakesh expressionlessly nodded.

Since Aakesh never joked, she knew it was the truth. Aakesh can really let him meet any species of Dragon. She then fell into her thoughts and began thinking about what kind of Dragon she wanted to see.

Aakesh didn't disturb her and waited for her decision.

Finally, after thinking for a long time, she made her decision.

"I want to see the Dragon that helped in the creation of the Elves," She told Aakesh her decision.

"So, Life Dragon," Aakesh responded and snapped his fingers before Lenna could prepare.

The next moment, they both appeared in unfamiliar surroundings.

Clear skies welcomed them while the wind flew slowly through the grass, which danced merrily with the wind.

As far as Lenna could see, there was nothing but dancing grass in the endless open field.

Suddenly, everything came to a halt as something covered the clear sky and brought darkness with its appearance.

The grasses that were dancing a moment earlier bowed down as they welcomed their monarch.

Before Lenna could understand what was happening, a pressure arrived on her that made her kneel with her face touching the ground while Aakesh expressionlessly looked at the happenings.

"It has been a long time since you came here," A voice that sounded gibberish yet familiar in Lenna's ears rang in the area.

"Yeah, around 70,000 years," Aakesh responded in the same gibberish language.

Lenna still had her face down on the ground. She understood that Aakesh and the Dragon were conversing in Draconian.

"Why did you bring her to this place? Don't tell me you had fallen in love with her and brought her here to meet me," The Dragon that still hadn't appeared asked.

"I just made a deal with her, and she wanted to meet you. After all, your real body helped the World Tree to create her race," Aalesh expressionlessly responded.

"Tch! And here I thought, you had fallen in love with her," The Dragon responded as if he was disappointed.

Aakesh ignored the taunt of the Dragon and waved his hands. The next moment, the pressure from Lenna vanished, and she was able to stand up.

"Why aren't you appearing?" Aakesh then looked at the sky and expressionlessly asked.

The next moment, the darkness that had engulfed the unknown area suddenly disappeared.

Lenna looked up and saw the reappearance of the clear sky.

She suddenly felt someone standing in front of her. She looked at it and couldn't help but take two steps back.

"Haha!" The Dragon let out a hearty laugh, seeing the response of Lenna.

"So, you wanted to meet me?" The Dragon took the initiative and asked.

Unlike the last time, it didn't sound gibberish to her.

The Dragon didn't convey in Elvish to make her understand, as it would be demeaning for him to speak a low-class version of basic Draconian.

Lenna couldn't help but feel dumbfounded, seeing the Dragon taking the initiative to talk to her. She gawked at the Dragon in surprise.

According to the books in her clan, Dragons were known for their arrogance. They didn't even talk straight to their own clansman, but here, the Dragon laughed and talked to her.

The next moment, her face turned red from embarrassment as she finally noticed her gawking at the Dragon.

She heaved a sigh of relief in her heart when she noticed that the Dragon didn't get offended.

She finally took a clear look at the Dragon.

Calm emerald eyes stared at her with a hint of curiosity on them.

Two small horns sat atop his head, just above his tiny, curved ears.

His nose was short and had two long, slitted nostrils. White hairs filled the area below his chin, giving him a sage look.

The Dragon had a long serpentine body, with a pair of eleven bat-like wings in total. Olive green Dragon-scales covered the entirety of his body.

After taking a good look at the Dragon, she knelt right away. This time it was willing.

When she stood up, her eyes had become moist with tears.

"Thank you for creating us!" She bowed to her waist and thanked the Dragon

"What do you think about him?" The Dragon only smiled at her thanks and instead asked her, pointing at Aakesh.

A confused expression appeared on Lenna's face, and the next moment it turned red after she understood the context of the Dragon's words.

She secretly took a look at Aakesh, only to see him coldly looking at the Dragon.

The Dragon seemed unfazed by the cold look and added, "Tell me, tiny Elf."

Lenna didn't know what to respond, so she fell silent.

She never expected the Dragon to ask such questions from her. She could not ignore his question, or else it would be demeaning to such a being.

She didn't have to answer when Aakesh intervened and told the Dragon to stop joking.

After several minutes had passed, two people returned to the store.

"Our deal is done!" Aakesh expressionlessly told Lenna and returned to his chair.

"Thank you!" Lenna thanked Aakesh in response.

The sight of a friendly dragon was something she never expected, but it made sense after all.

If he wasn't a friendly Dragon, he would have never helped the World tree in the creation of the Elves, so the rare temperament of the Life Dragon helped in their creation.

Everything about the Dragon was a mystery when it came to the majority of the Elves. They only knew that a Dragon helped their progenitor, the World tree, in their creation.

But from this moment on, Lenna became one of the few Elves who knew the mystery of their creation and one of the very few to meet the Life Dragon. Even though he was only the virtual projection, but it still was better than not knowing anything at all.

Lenna then took a look around her to see several people staring at her with red eyes. While meeting the Dragon, she took off the mask, but in the excitement of meeting the Dragon, she forgot to put it back on, and now her face was exposed.

She couldn't help but feel disgusted, seeing the expression of greed and lust in many people's faces. She wore her mask back since she couldn't just kill somebody inside the store, or she would be the one to face the consequences.

She didn't know where her family was, so she decided to contact them using the supreme card she had bought from the store.

For contacting through the supreme card, the customers only needed to add the energy imprint of the supreme card the other customer had, so Lenna contacted her mother.

A few moments later, her family rushed out of the weapons room.

Time flew by, and several minutes passed.

During these minutes, Lenna shared her experience of meeting the Dragon with her family members. The more she talked, the more her family got surprised.

When Lenna told her family about the joke the Dragon played on her about Aakesh, Ivanar glared at Aakesh, while Elasha and Shalia laughed about it, making Lenna more embarrassed. They only stopped laughing when Ivanar angrily glared at both of them.

In the end, all four of them had their eyes moist with tears. Lenna still couldn't believe she had met a dragon, while the other family members couldn't believe the Dragon shared some of his stories with Lenna.
