Chapter 127 - Worthiness

Chapter 127: Worthiness

"Give me the card that has the draconian rune on it," Elasha said while taking out a supreme Primal stone from her pocket space.

(A/N: Symbols turned into runes because it sounds and looks better while reading.)

Aakesh nodded, and the next moment the supreme Primal stone flew into his hands. He then threw it into the black hole and pressed the switch that signified the supreme card.

A few moments later, a silver card appeared in his hands. He then handed it over to Elasha.

"So beautiful," Elasha said as she gently stroked the teleportation rune.

"Give one to me as well," Another voice echoed in the store.

Aakesh looked at the source of the voice and found out it was Shalia, Lenna's mother. For the first time since she arrived, she opened her mouth and spoke.

Aakesh nodded, and the supreme Primal stone Shalia had just taken out flew into his hands. The next moment, he did the same process, and a few moments later, a silver card appeared in his hands. When he handed her the card, he found Ivanar waiting for his turn.

After all three of them got their respective supreme cards, their eyes glued on the teleportation rune. Several moments passed, but they still didn't take their eyes away from it.

"It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," Ivanar commented as he finally took his eyes away from the teleportation rune and stared at Aakesh. After staring at him for a second, Ivanar added, "How do you know pure draconian?"

Ivanar had seen draconian runes on the temples they had built for Dragons, but he had never seen a rune this pure. It gave him the sense that it was the original rune for teleportation in draconian, and others got derived from this only.

"Do you want to buy something?" Aakesh ignored Ivanar's question and instead asked the group who had finally taken their eyes away from the teleportation rune.

Ivanar wanted to speak something, but he stopped as a gentle pat came on his shoulder. He looked behind and saw Shalia gesturing him to stop asking.

Elasha then stepped forward from the group and reached Aakesh. He expressionlessly looked at what she wanted to do. The next moment, she came near him and whispered something into his ears.

After she whispered what she wanted to tell, she moved away and looked at Aakesh, waiting for his answer.

There was still no change in his expressionless face as the next moment he shook his head and said, "No! You aren't worthy of learning draconian."

A surprised expression appeared on Elasha's face while Ivanar and Lenna turned red from anger, and Shalia didn't have any change in her face.

Ivanar and Lenna wanted to speak something. But the next moment, they shut their mouth as a glare from Elasha came their way.

"Are you sure you don't want that?" Elasha didn't mind what Aakesh had said and instead asked.

"No, I don't want that, and you're also not worthy of learning. You would burst into particles if you tried to learn it," Aakesh responded.

Elasha wanted to make a deal with Aakesh for learning draconian. She told him that she would give him the leaf of a world tree if he would teach them.

Aakesh wouldn't lie that the deal was worthy since a single leaf of world tree could expand the space inside the store, but the point was none in the group were worthy of learning the original draconian.

Dragons are the most arrogant species in the Multiverse, and they would never let Elves learn their true language. Only the system knows why they let, Aakesh learn it, but when he thought of accepting the deal with Elasha, a warning came from the system, so he didn't take it.

"Fine!" Elasha sighed disappointedly, as she didn't believe that someone would lie when the leaf of the world tree was at stake. Every million years, the world tree would reward one descendant of their, its leaf. Elasha's husband had gotten the leaf and had given it to her as a wedding gift.

"Grandmother, let's check the world I told you about," Lenna suddenly said, removing the awkwardness present in the store.

"Okay, let's go," Ivanar chimed in and added.

Elasha nodded and put the draconian in the back of her mind. Lenna, seeing everyone ready, proceeded to the portal room. Elasha and Shalia followed her while Ivaran glared at Aakesh for a moment and then followed the group to the portal room.

After the group of four left, Aakesh closed his eyes and continued sitting on the chair.

"Hey, system. We should've accepted the deal. Even if they burst as a result of learning it, it would've been their fault for biting more than they can chew," Aakesh commented in his head.

[Host, your goal is to become the legendary store owner and take this store to its peak, so we can't do fraud deals.]

The system responded in its emotionless and mechanical voice.

Aakesh stopped asking anything further and fell silent. The event was only a few days away, so he started deciding the sequence of events in his mind, while some of his focus stayed on the battle with the opponent.

Suddenly a system alert came to his mind, breaking his thoughts.

[Host, customer Evelyn had achieved the first milestone of reaching Level 11. Please give her the reward.]

The next moment, a projection appeared in the front wall of the portal room that contained the name and Level of the adventurer.

The top rank was taken by Aakesh, who was Level 20. The second rank belonged to Evelyn, who was Level 11. There was no one below her since only two people had breached the evolution mark of Level 10.

The next moment, Evelyn appeared in the store with a confused face. Right after she completed her quest and reached Level 11, the system forcefully threw her out of Panagea.

She then confusedly looked at Aakesh for the reason behind this. But the next moment, her face returned to normal.

A mechanical alert had appeared in her head at that moment, "Congratulations, adventurer, Evelyn, on reaching Level 11 and becoming the first customer of the store to reach a milestone.. Please, contact the store owner for your milestone reward."
