Chapter 97 - Training

Chapter 97: Training

After the group of Maria and the construction workers left, Aakesh closed the store.

After closing the store, he appeared in the selection ground. He picked up his weapon and then disappeared from there.

The next moment, he appeared in the arena, but the arena was entirely different from the previous arenas he had been fighting in.

The people sitting in the crowd stood up and cheered for Aakesh as it was not his first entry here. He had entered here around a century ago and had won all the battles.

The next moment, a blue window with eleven options appeared in front of him since there were eleven rounds in this battle arena, and he had cleared all of them a century ago.

Aakesh chose to go to the eleventh round right away, as only that round could challenge him. The next moment, the battle arena completely changed. The area in it got wider by several folds, whereas several small or large walls randomly appeared in it. The speed of the wind increased by several folds.

The cheering from the crowd got even louder, seeing the new challenges. The next moment, a being out of nowhere appeared on the top of one of the walls randomly laid in the battle arena.

The newly appeared being had three eyes of three different colors in a triangular shape, with the top eye having a golden color, the left eye silver, while the eye on the right was black like an abyss. A crooked nose rested below, but it was the giant mouth below with rows of eerie teeth and a long tongue that took all the attention away. The being had a humanoid body shape with the same body size as Aakesh. The being then stared at Aakesh with his dark eye while the gold and silver eye surveyed the surrounding of the battlefield.

The next moment, a bow half gold and half silver with its black bowstring appeared in the being's hands. The being belonged to a race called Kopere. It was one of the top-level races in the second dimension, with this species having complete control over archery. Even a newborn Kopere had better archer skills than the majority of the archers in the Multiverse.

Aakesh chose to battle an archer in place of a swordsman because, yesterday, he came out as an equal at the end of the fight. And for him to win the future battles with the opponent, he needed to improve his archery even further, and for that, no one was a better trainer for him than a Kopere.

"It has been centuries since I last saw you!" The Kopere said in a hoarse voice while continuing to survey the entire battle arena.

The Kopere had three eyes of distinct colors, and each color had a different use in archery for them. The golden eye helped in aiming accurately at the opponent. The silver eye captured the surroundings, while the black eye helped in showing an optimum path for shooting arrows.

"Yeah, after defeating you for so many times, I got bored of the battle, but now that I need to improve my archery, I thought, why not try to learn from someone weaker than me," Aakesh responded with a smile on his face.

The Kopere only scoffed in response to him. The next moment, a bell rang in the arena announcing the start of the battle.

"Whoosh!" The next moment sound of arrows tearing through space rang in the arena as both Aakesh and the Kopere released the arrows at the same time.

"Boom!" With the clash of the two arrows, a loud explosion echoed in the arena, but it was only the start, as continuous blasts echoed in the battle arena.

Within a few seconds, the clash of the arrows caused several explosions that blew up half the arena. "Your black eye has gotten better!" Aakesh commented as the Kopere always shot the arrow at the right time, resulting in the destruction of both the arrows.

"Yes, I've been training my eyes during this past century," The Kopere commented as he shot another arrow.

"Good! You didn't disappoint me," Aakesh commented as he increased the rate at which he shot arrows.

"Whoosh!"

"Whoosh!"

The arrows continuously traveled, tearing through the air aiming at the Kopere. Defending for the Kopere became tough due to not being able to handle the number of bolts coming at him in quick succession.

He was jumping from wall to wall in the opposite direction so that the air could act against Aakesh's arrows while supporting him when he shot.

But unfortunately for him, Aakesh's arrows traveled unaffected despite the quick movement of the air. The Kopere had no choice but to directly fight the arrows.

The next moment, all the arrows aiming to rip the Kopere apart came to a halt as a golden light suddenly engulfed him and his bow. The arrow then floating in the air started falling at his feet.

Aaakesh knew the Kopere had activated the skill 'Archery Deity'. Archery Deity was the exclusive skill of the Kopere race.

The next moment, the fallen arrows started floating up with their new direction being Aakesh.

Aakesh was prepared for the onslaught, so he shot twice the number of arrows.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

The sound of continuous explosions echoed as the clash of the arrows continued. Aakesh knew he couldn't let this continue anymore as whenever Archer Deity was active, the bow and the arrows started backfiring.

"Let's end this!" Aakesh commented as the air around the arena suddenly started flowing opposite even quicker than before.

An arrow with a strange arrowhead appeared above Aakesh. The pressure from the presence alone affected the beings sitting in the crowd and the space around the arena.

Even the Kopere wasn't let alone from the pressure. The golden light that had engulfed him started dimming down while he was being forced to kneel.

Suddenly, a peal of eerie laughter echoed in the battle arena as the arrow above Aakesh's head disappeared. With the disappearance of the arrow, the Kopere also vanished.

The next moment, a light engulfed the battle arena as Aakesh had won the battle. The arrow used by Aakesh was called 'Raudrastra'. It could even kill the beings of the Asura and Yaksha clan, but unfortunately for Aakesh, he could only use this skill in the training ground.. He was still very far from attaining this weapon in the actual world.
