Chapter 134 - Annual Tournament: The Wind Maiden Is Dumb Dumb!!

Just when Le Zuan was about to enter inside the inn, he felt a very sinister and malicious energy emitting. Worse, it was somewhere very close to him. In fact, he could sense that it was right behind him.

The energy was weak and faint, as if some kind of barrier was preventing it from leaking outside. But, as someone from higher cultivation base and strength, he could easily sense the faint remains of the resentful energy that was directed towards him.

"Hmm!!"

He grunted as he turned around in a blink of eyes to look at the source of the resentment. His eyes travelled to all of the people present. The people who were in the circle of his suspicion were from the divine tiger temple.

After all, this sect had always been quite a mystery for everyone and even their way of cultivation was something conjured as an evil art. Although it was proved that what they were doing was not demonic or something like witchcraft, everyone agreed to their way of cultivation.

But, that was centuries ago.

He cautiously moved his eyes to the students who were waiting to enter the inn.

Le Lao Ling saw that his father was stuck on the door when technically he should have been the open to get stuck if the door was not big enough to fit him. Thankfully, the inn owner was intelligent enough to customize the door to fit his size.

"Father, is there anything?" he called Le Zuan from where he was standing, without even caring for the other people who were waiting to climb up the stairs after him. With him blocking the way, they had no choice but to wait.

Well, it's not like they had any other choice after all. They were just small fires in front of the young master of the Le family. Until he was out of the way, the staircase was not going to be available for them.

Le Zuan, the patriarch of the Le family said nothing as he started at the people that were on the opposite inn. His eyes fell upon a lean and thin youngster who was slightly hunched. Although everyone looked the same there, this particular boy was able to attract his attention.

The boy was none other than Mu Ting who was standing at the back of the group. He sensed that someone was looking at him, making him turn around in curiosity. Just as he turned his head, he came face to face with the intense glare of Le Zuan, the leader of the Le Family.

'Why is he looking at me?' he mumbled to himself as he continued to stare back at Le Zuan. They continued staring for quite a while, until Mu Ting who was almost an introvert, could not help but feel his skin crawling.

Forcing a smile, he bowed down a bit to greet him. Without waiting for the man to show any type of reaction to what he did, Mu Ting turned his back to him. He dreaded having to extend this glaring session any more. He did not want that.

Meanwhile, this smile and bow was a wakeup call to Le Zuan who snapped out of his thoughts, he also heard the constant call of his son from the staircase.

With a swift movement, he flipped his long sleeves on his hand before haughtily turning away from the gate.

'I need to keep eye on this boy,' he mumbled to himself as he went inside the inn, the big door of the inn closing right behind him.

"That was nerve wrecking," Mu Ting sighed as he wiped the thin layer of sweat on his forehead with his already sweaty palm. Getting stared at by someone like that was more than enough for him to break into cold sweats.

"You know him?" Fuzzy asked, a bit surprised that even her master knew those people.

"I know him, but well, not personally," he sighed as he followed the fellow sisters and brothers inside the inn.

He could hear a faint whistle inside his head.

He wondered if his small fuzzy spirit had some sort of secret, well regarding many many things.

….

Seeing that both group of cultivators had finally entered their respective inn, all of the townsfolk breathed a sigh of relief.

"Are they stupid?" A vendor who was slightly shaking managed to say in a weak voice.

"How can they openly release their aura in a crowded place like this, especially when this place is filled with mortals?" he spat on the ground feeling a bit angry.

When two faction such as the Astral forest sect and the Divine white tiger temple faced off without even saying or doing anything, the concentration of strong aura form the cultivators was more than enough to pressurize the whole town people.

After all, they were just mere mortals.

"Well, they are way above us to realize how hard it is when they emit their aura without proper control," another man who was seated on the floor said in a dejection as he struggled to stand up.

Just when they were about to take a breather from the chaotic entrances of the two of the powerful sects, there was arrival of another sect.

Dressed in royal looking white robe that was as white as snow, a group of cultivator showed up in the center of the town. They all had beautiful long silvery hair with a dragon scale shaped air ornaments as hair pins on their hair. Boys and girl, all of them had the same hairstyle and dress codes, making it look, extremely beautiful and enchanting.

"Those white robes and dragon scale!!" A woman, who was passing by gasped as she laid down her eyes on the group of this breathtakingly beautiful cultivators.

"Are they the cultivators from the Azure dragon valley?" a man expressed his doubt upon seeing the cultivators who rarely stepped outside of the valley they cultivated on. Only a few people had even managed to spot the cultivators form this sect once in a while.

Seeing the ethereal beauty of these immortals made a few people feel their heart drumming against their chest in anxiety and excitement.

Some of the horny perverts who were just toiling around could not help but drool as they saw the beauties from the Azure Dragon Valley. No matter how much they looked at them, they only felt more and more attracted to the elegant looking cultivators from the dragon valley.

"All of them have been truly blessed by the great dragon!"

"Just look at them!! Even if their eyes are closed, they look better than anyone with their eyes open!!"

"Forget about girls!! Even the boys are such a piece of eye candy!! Aishh!!"

The whole crowd broke into a heated conversation with each other about the beauties in front of them. As for those beauties in the question, they ignored each and every word that was being said about them. They did not have time to bother with some mortals just because they were talking about them.

While the group from the Southern Province was a bunch of noisy cultivators, the group from the western province was a group of murderous looking cultivators who could make cold shivers run down the spine of the onlookers.

However, the Sect from the eastern province looked serene and calm, as if they were undisturbed and unmoved by anything that was happening around them.

The sect leader who was leading the entire group stopped for a bit and smiled at the entire crowd of that was looking at them. She was a tall woman with a beautiful silver hair. A red dot glowed on her forehead, adding a unique type of charm to her beauty.

She lightly bowed down and smiled at the crowd that had gathered to look at them.

She motioned towards her disciples to follow right behind her, leaving behind a group of man and woman alike, bleeding form their nose.

After the arrival of the last main sect, everyone dispersed form the center of the town. They had nothing more to look at after this. There was still one important arrival left but they were not going to show themselves that easily to the public crowd.

"So, today is the beginning of the Annual Tournament?" Feng Po Po exclaimed in surprise when she heard the news from Le fang Ling. She caught Le fang Ling by her hand and chuckled lightly when she stopped suddenly.

"What is it?" Le fang ling looked at the wind maiden who was sticking way too close to her. It was kind of too intimate for their first meeting.

"What is this annual tournament thingy?" She looked at her curiously.

"You mean you did not have these events during your era?" Nagina asked suspiciously.

Feng Po Po looked at Nagina for a bit, her eyebrows scrunched up together in a frown as she tried to brainstorm about the thing called annual tournament.

"Nope, I definitely have no idea what even this means," she finally said with an embarrassed smile on her face. She coughed a bit to hide her embarrassment.

"It's just a match between the sects and cultivators to show who is the strongest and the best in the entire continent." Le fang Ling simply shrugged off the question with a basic explanation.

"There is nothing more to it to be honest."

Feng Po Po nodded her head as she digested information she was getting in this small tour.

"Here we are," Le fang Ling said as she pointed at a huge ground in front of them. Feng Po Po and Nagina looked at the place they had arrived.

"This is the arena where the matches will take place."
