Chapter 139 - Confrontation With Brother

"It was all in the past; don't look at me like that!" Feng Po Po pouted when she saw both Le Fang Ling and Nagina looking at her in pity.

Well, she was a little glad that they cared for her, but she also hated being pitied.

She never felt she suffered injustice when she was sold. She was instead happy to be of some help to her family one way or the other. The only regret she ever felt was when she was going through the painful session of merging with the beast core. It was a demonic beast core at that.

Thinking back then, if not for her will to survive and overtake the demonic energy that was in the core, she would have perished in body and soul.

"I just think you are strong," Le fang Ling denied pitying her. Enduring all that pain, was something worthy of respect.

"Not really, what I went through can be considered fairly bad," she shrugged.

"Remember the brother I say there are 5 elemental deities scattered all around the continent, those with the absolute control over the element," she reminded them.

Nagina and Le fang Ling nodded their head. Le Fang Ling stopped abruptly when she remembered something.

Her eyes widened in horror as she conjured up something inside her brain. If what Feng Po Po described was the way the elemental deities were formed, then there were 4 other cultivators out there who had gone through something as similar to this…or maybe worse.

"It's like what you are thinking," Feng Po Po could guess what Le Fang Ling was thinning.

"I do not about him, but if you ever come across the deity who has control over the land, do not think, do not do anything," she hovered in the air and moved towards Le fang Ling. just when her face was very close to her, she deepened her voice and said, "Just run away like there is no tomorrow, you heard me?"

"…"

"Err, yes?!"Le Fang nodded her head when she heard her warning. Well, though it came out of nowhere but sure.

"He is scary?" Le Fang Ling was somewhat skeptical about the deities now. If they all went through inhumane body transformation, there was no doubt someone must have turned out to be something else.

Feng Po Po nodded her head as she agreed to the warning from Feng Po Po but she could not help but be curious about him. She had heard many things about western province being the strongest sect in a few centuries, the feat was almost impossible, but not for the divine white tiger sect.

She was also looking forward to seeing the people from this sect. Something felt fishy there and she was going to find why!!

Feng Po Po seemed to have understood the intention she had inside her mind. But she did not say anything. All she could do was warn them. At the end of the day, what they did was their own choice.

Who knew what would happen in the future.

"Instead of him, I think we have some other important matter to worry about," Feng Po Po came back to the topic they were in.

"Weren't we talking about the lady Shen there?" She gestured towards Shen Qinyue. She had just finished addressing everyone along with the prince by her side. After that, she had taken a seat in one of the chairs while the 2nd prince made himself comfortable on the throne.

"That pretty lady is the bride?"

"She looks like a goddess!"

"How lucky of her to be able to marry the prince!"

All sorts of comments started to fly around the stadium when they saw Shen Qinyue and learned her identity.

Le Fang Ling frowned when she heard such blasphemy comments from the people around her. But there was nothing she could do except frown and glare at the people around her.

"Look at her eyes, she is trying to gobble us up," a middle-aged lady whispered to her partner when she noticed Le Fang Ling giving her draggers eyes.

"She is just an outer court disciple, what's with that attitude just because she has a nice face," she sighed but seeing that the man who was with her checking out Le Fang Ling, she angrily stomped on his feet.

"Tsk," she clicked her tongue in displeasure as she dragged her partner to change seat.

"Host," Nagina shook her head at Le Fang ling. It was not right to try and persecute someone. She was the one who was going to be trash talked about otherwise.

Le Fang Ling nodded her head.

"Aye, don't worry about that," Feng Po Po snapped her finger and made clouds appear on Le Fang Ling's head.

"Stop moping and listen to me, otherwise," she smirked. The clouds were storm clouds and without any warning, a strong wind came but was only limited to the area around Le fang ling's head.

"…"

"Alright, put it away!!" Le fang Ling swatted away the clouds away from her head. She glared at the wind deity who was simply abusing her power and authority. Worse! She could not even complain.

"If the Shen family is offering their daughter with pure yin constituent body, I am pretty sure they are going to run some sort of ritual whose magnitude can be comparable to what the Mo family did centuries ago," Feng Po Po was thoughtful. She had a foreboding that there was something about this whole thing than what met the eyes.

"It's just a speculation, to be honest, but it doesn't hurt to be a little more careful, right?" she added when she saw the solemn look on Le fang Ling's face.

She was trying to say more but her voice got drowned by a loud noise. This time, the noise came from the two drums and four trumpets that were kept in the vicinity of the stadium.

They were humongous and when all of them were played at once, nothing else could be heard. The sound of the drum and trumpet drowned out almost everything. The sound could be heard far and wide to notify those who could not see the fireworks that the tournament had started.

Along with the sound of the drums, there was the entrance of all the participants in the section of their designated sects. The four sects had their place so that they would be able to stay in the group throughout the tournament.

As for the other remaining people who had come from smaller sects or rogue cultivators who wanted to try their hands at fighting the elites from the bigger sects were kept in a separate place. After all, they were in minority and their status was not that much either.

Pretty much no one complained about this arrangement. They did not have time to be worrying about something as useless as the seat arrangement when their entire being depended on the outcomes of the matches.

There were selected numbers of cultivators from the four prominent sects, as they were competing against each other to show their supremacy. Although there had been many people from the smaller sect who wanted to take part, they were made to take part in prelims where they were made to duel with each other and only certain numbers of people were allowed to come forth for the main event.

"Senior Sister An Cheng!" Le Fang Ling exclaimed when she saw An Cheng enter the participant's section followed by the rest of her brothers and sisters.

"And there is Zhang Wei," she scoffed seeing that man tagging along with An Cheng like some kind of magnetic glue.

"Senior Ming Jiu, An Lin!" she cried out excitedly at the appearance of the people she knew. A feeling of pride welled up in her heart seeing them.

Soon, the section was filled with a group of white-dressed and haired cultivators. They were the same as Shen Qinyue's clan.

"All of them are s pretty," Le fang Ling almost drooled when she saw the pure ethereal beauty. It was the same for Ming Jiu. The shameless simp almost got a nosebleed on the spot when he saw them.

After that, the whole arena got silent as the places of the participants were taken by a group of Purple-robed disciples from the west. There was something about their presence that intimidated everyone there.

"Chills," Le Fang ling rubbed her arms when she noticed how deadly serious they looked. They did not make any noise as they took their place.

Soon, it was time for the last sect to come.

The door opened with a bam, making a few spectators jump up to from their seats.

A youngster with a chubby cheek and stomach that looked 8 months pregnant entered the section. He was followed by cultivators dressed in the same robe.

Le fang Ling froze a bit upon seeing the man. That man was none other than Le Lao Ling. She had thought she had already forgotten the torture but a cold shiver still ran down her spine when she saw his face.

"Host.."

"It's fine," Le Fang Ling took a deep breath to calm herself.

"It's fine, I have been expecting this meeting to happen sooner or later," she said in a calm voice.

She raised her head and stared across the arena and right at Le Lao Ling.

"Good to see you, my dear brother," she sneered hatefully.

Le Lao Ling seemed to have noticed her as well. He looked straight at Le fang ling with an ugly look on his face.

There were so many things to settle!
