159 Chapter 159: Brazen, Crude and Rude

Name:The Employed Empress Author:Xiao_yue
"Not to be absolutely rude, you are a... Bit... Just a bit... Intellectually challenged that talking to a wall has no difference with talking to you. It does make me look less 'weird' if you ask for the merit."

Wei Yi Yi immediately took a deep breath. "Be careful that I don't deck you. Why are you even here in the first place?"

"To see your rare instances at being a genius in death courting?"

It was around this moment that Jiang Liu finally snapped back to reality. Interrupting the two, he said with furrowed brows, "Although both third young master Wei and the empress is from the same household this is not an excuse to speak rudely."

The group pause in shock. Maybe because the other talkative one finally opened his mouth or maybe because he's the last one they expected to hear that from.

"A pot calling the kettle black," Wei Yi Yi snicker.

"Big---Empress!"

And he just gave away his self like that. Wei Yi Yi shook her head as she said, "Please don't embarrass yourself and shut it for a while."

Jiang Liu wanted to immediately refute back, however, Wei Lian suddenly moved closer to him and blocked his view.

The belt that hugs his waist highlighted Wei Lian's slim figure. Despite this, he easily reaches the same height as Jiang Liu. Even Wei Yi Yi's figure is well hidden behind his straighten back.

As even Jiang Liu's brothers do not reach as high as him, he felt a bit intimidated with the direct eye contact.

Picking up his last bits of pride as a prince, Jiang Liu prepares to fight back. "Wha---"

But an expected came that even he couldn't fight back. Jiang Liu went stiff and rigid as Wei Lian wrapped his arms around him for what appears as a hug in Jiang Liu's perspective.

It came fast as it go but silly Jiang Liu lost his breath. He only regained his composure when Wei Lian pulled back and fastened the strings of the arrow quiver on his body.

Wei Lian then took his hand and put the bow on it. Having the bow and arrow passed into him unexpectedly, the prince's eyes then turn into a perfect example of confusion.

Unknown to him, the pair of siblings are already starting to associate him with an injured rabbit ready to cry.

Sweating buckets, Jiang Liu cluelessly stared at Wei Lian.

Soft milky skin; A clear pair of glass like eyes that do not reflect any emotion. Wei Lian, with his stoic face, appears elegant yet serious.

The black raven hair that as thin as fine threads flow down on his shoulders. With its contrast towards his skin, pair with his clean looks, make him looks like a real deity.

Catching his stare, Wei Lian's lips curled up a bit in a proud show of superiority.

Jiang Liu instantly went hopping mad with embarrassment. "You!!!--- How rude! A low-rank noble dare approach this prince!!"

'This deity does not smile! Rather, he scoffs at you!'

Wei Lian is used to brats throwing tantrums and didn't bother at all with Jiang Liu's temper. Rather, he ruffles his hair as if not afraid and said, "There, there" like he is pacifying a small kid.

"You dare! Do you think just because you are her majesty's brother that this prince would forgive you?!" Jiang Liu shouted and tried to slap Wei Lian's hand away.

The prince almost split out blood when Wei Lian easily dodges him. As even the empress is not stepping in, Bai Huo and Bai Shui could only send their regards towards their master.

The man then went to Tang Mei and said, "Give me those."

After taking the empress' bow and arrows, he no longer cares for Jiang Liu's reactions.

Jiang Liu doesn't know where to start getting mad about at this point.

Despite Wei Lian inability to become a minister, he is well known as a scholar and writer. The articles he wrote are not only well written with properly thought out words and flowy sentences, but it was brimming with both knowledge and experiences as well. They are practical yet profound.

Every poem he wrote is sought after and constantly the talk of the people. The use of his words is refined, elegant with a mixture of seriousness, and carefully woven to entice you into the world he created.

As his royal brother would say, Prime Minister Wei is wasting his own son's talent.

But who could expect, that Wei manor's Third young master is actually this brazen, rude and crude in talking!

He was ultimately ignored after by Wei Lian and so, Jiang Liu turned to Wei Yi Yi with eyes desperate for help.

The Empress appear taking the situation seriously that it deceives everyone. But no matter how composed or collected she might appear to be, her mind is way over corrupted.

"No. No. Don't come to me for rescue. I might lead you to the wrong path," the empress said as she turns her back to Jiang Liu as well.

Wei Yi Yi continued her conversation with Wei Lian that Jiang Liu has no space to step in.

"As I said, why are you here?" Wei Yi Yi insists on inquiring.

"The emperor is looking for the empress and it's slowly turning into a commotion," Wei Lian replied casually.

"Seriously?!" Wei Yi Yi went pale. Even Jiang Liu who was stomping his feet as he follows behind almost stumbles down.

"Truly. It's kind of exciting actually," Wei Lian nodded. "I heard a group saying they saw the empress inside the forest and simply went to investigate. Then I saw your 'lame' state."

"Argh," Wei Yi Yi groan in virtual pain. "Erase that scenario on your head. And let's forget about Boss for now. That is not what I'm asking..."

Brows rose after hearing Wei Yi Yi address the Emperor as such. Although in the end, Wei Lian didn't interrogate her about her so-called 'working state'.

"Well... I mean if you are 'my' brother, which makes you a 'Wei', therefore 'Wei Lian' not 'He Lian'... According to the pitiful amount I remember..." Wei Yi Yi mumbled under her breath swiftly.

"What?" Wei Lian couldn't hear her properly as she was eating her words.

"I mean... Prime--- Father wouldn't allow you to be here so how could you be here?"

Out of things that she must recall, it is the state of Wei Manor that she just had to forget! What she needed the most, is clarify the situation.
