Chapter 558 - My Husband

Xander stopped the car in front of the church where a woman who introduced herself as a coordinator was waiting for them.

"Sir… You will be the one to walk down the aisle and your bride is already inside, waiting for you…" the coordinator said.

"What?!" Xander burst, suddenly he felt excited since it was the first time he would witness a scene like that.

"Bro… Cali did knock you out on this," he teased Rui with that amused grin.

The coordinator looked at Xander and said, "You go in first, sir, and walk as the groom's man."

Xander nodded and looked at Rui one more time and said, "I will go in the first bro. I must see you walking down the aisle from there."

Rui suddenly felt nervous that his stomach tightened. He was too excited to see Cali waiting for him. He just could not explain how blissful he was at that moment where his mind was clouded with the thoughts of how Cali had fully accepted him as her lifetime partner by surprising him, that too this early.

Rui exhaled loudly as he walked towards the church door. He gasped when the door opened up for him.

'Why does everything seem so familiar?' he mused while looking at the breathtaking and beautifully decorated inside of the church with a variety of flowers. He felt his heart race and his stomach tighten. Everything felt the same….

He was also very surprised on seeing grandpa Lua, nanny Shine, Shane, and Josh there as well.

'What is this?' he gasped because it was like Deja Vu. Everything was the same as on his wedding with Cali before, the only difference was he was the one walking down the aisle.

Cali was waiting there for him in her white gown. She wore a beautiful creamy white off the shoulder lace gown, almost the same design as that dress she wore during their wedding before. She looked so beautiful and stunning that he could not believe that his patience and love for her was finally successfully rewarded.

Cali was smiling brightly, not leaving eye contact with him. Rui smiled as well, a smile of contentment and so appeared on his face, and joy filled inside his heart.

Then he suddenly heard Cali's voice, her sweet soft voice, filling in the inside of the church.

"When I was walking down the aisle at that time… I silently prayed to God several times, whispering these words, please let me not forget him. I also even talked to my own heart telling it to always remember you, even if my brain, head, and memories forget everything about you…

I asked my heart to make sure to never forget my Rui and beat only for him… no one else. My heart is always yours Rui, forever."

Rui was too shocked to hear those words. He did not even realize that Cali already walked towards him.

"You remember?" Rui whispered as his eyes welled with tears. Cali smiled and nodded, tearing up.

Rui hugged her tightly and whispered, "Oh God thank you…"

"I wanted to give you a good surprise about me remembering you but this is the only thing I could think of… Marrying you the same way we got married before." Cali murmured.

"I still remember your vows… And let me say it back to you… No matter what comes our way, I will stand beside you always and never leave. Through thick and thin, for rich and for poor, till death do us part. I love you dearly, sweetheart, more than you have ever known." Cali said in her firm loving tone.

She gently pushed Rui and cupped his face and whispered, "Thank you for making me the happiest woman alive in this world by not giving up on me. I love you so much Rui Dee, my friend, my boyfriend, my lover, my sweetheart… my husband…"

Rui was too overwhelmed and speechless and he could only answer Cali with a passionate kiss.

As soon as the kiss broke, everyone who was a witness, clapped their hands as the church was filled with tears of joy from people close to Cali and Rui.

"You should put the rings back on me…" Cali whispered with a grin as she handed her rings to Rui.

Rui smiled and gladly put the rings on the back of Cali's finger. They were her engagement and wedding rings.

Cali also grabbed Rui's hand and put his wedding ring back on his finger.

Grandpa Lua and nanny Shine were both crying uncontrollably while they witnessed everything, Shane was crying too. She was surprised as to why Cali asked her and Josh to fly there for a visit if ever they were available and now she knew why…

Cali wanted to share with them this wonderful surprise and this news because Cali knew that they played a big part in helping out Rui, including Xander and Yera.

"They look so adorable," Nanny Shine whispered while grandpa Lua nodded in agreement. He was very grateful and too glad that his only granddaughter found a good man in Rui who was very dedicated towards her.

"The church and we are all props since those two were already married. Hmmm, was this your idea darling?" Xander asked Yera as he sniffed, trying hard to control himself from sobbing. He was too happy for his Rui and tears naturally fell from his eyes.

"It was Cali's idea. She asked me for a better one but I could not think of anything better than the one she thought of…" Yera said with a smile.

"Yeah, this is a great idea… But how come you two did not give it any more suspense… Geez, you should have asked me and I could have executed everything perfectly where Rui's heart would burst from too much anticipation…" Xander commented with pouty lips.

Yera laughed and directly said, "Sorry darling but I'm more scared of you spilling it all out unknowingly… and that would kill the suspense more."

Yera smiled at her husband and added with a tease, "Let's just go and congratulate the two. It went so well anyway. See how you've been crying up to now?"
