Chapter 245 - heart-shaped tattoo

Not even half an hour since the flight has gone airborne, the sloth has already dozed off on Devin's arms after fulfilling her stomach. A while later, Devin felt his shirt dampened, and it was not a surprise that Leena was drooling, considering his experience with her. "She is not letting her mouth rest even while napping.'' Devin put on leftover diced carrots into the corner of her mouth and snapped a picture to annoy her later.

Within an hour, the flight landed at the destination, and he has to wake her up by force.

"I am still sleepy." Stretching her arms, she yawned, waking up from her slumber.

"That is the only thing you do correctly." He grabbed a tissue from the box and wiped her drool.

"Why did we reach so early? You could have told the pilot to go a little slow." Blaming him as if it's his fault, Leena rose from the seat.

"You are the reason this country has put directions on the shampoo." Covering her face with a mask to not let anyone see after they are out, Devin pulled her out.

"Mr. Wang Devin. My IQ is exceptionally high, unlike you." Leena snapped, smacking his arm.

"Of course, sweetheart. It's a talk of the country, you know." He retorted with scorn.

Ignoring his mock, Leena headed with him, thinking of ways to make Devin's statement into reality. I should work on it.

While moving out of the airport, a particular memory spiked into Leena's brain as she passed by the lounge area. Guilt tripped over when she thought about her betrayal. "Did you get angry at me for tricking you on that day?"

"Now you feel guilty?" Devin asked. He almost got a panic attack on that day, but this crazy idiot has run away the moment he is out of her sight.

''You were still a stranger at that time. What if you have sold me off?"

''Trust me, darling. Even if I sell you off, they will bring you back." Devin said, opening the car door for her. "To the Meadows Inn," Devin said to the driver. The driver nodded and started the car.

While passing in the car, Leena rolled the window down and stuck her hand out of the window to feel Maine's beauty. The stunning night sky, the swath of greens, felt like family that she wanted to put on the wall. Devin's lips curved upwards into a smile, watching her happiness.

''Devin," Leena called him out of the blue.

''Hmm?"

She rested her head on his shoulders and said softly. ''Let's go for a long drive before we go back.''

''Sure, sweetheart."

There was a silence for a minute before Leena spoke up. ''When did you know that you like me?" This question has been lingering on her mind for a while.

"When was it?" He felt a strong surge of familiarity when he saw her at the park. Even though it was his first time seeing her, every single nerve in his body called out to her loudly on that day, and at that moment, he realized she is the one. His heart knew that the search is over. ''Love at first sight." That was his reply.

Leena: '' ''

Can he stop giving me a heart attack? Am I his love at first sight? Leena was dancing inside in joy.

''That explains why I got a mail from your company on the day you saw me at the park. You shamelessly did an extensive FBI search and came up with a business idea as an excuse?"

''No, sweetheart. I didnot know your name at that time. After you entered the washroom like a pervert and saw my AK47, I decided to take responsibility for us." When their talking was getting a little intimate, Devin closed the partition of the front door.

''I told you n number of times, it was not deliberate." Leena snapped at him angrily. ''I thought of making you happy today.'' Leena gazed at his jeans and then back to his face with a sarcastic smile. ''But not anymore. You have angered the great Leena.''

''We are releasing a limited set of exclusive clothes for the next_."

''Is it? What kind?" Leena spoke up without letting him finish his words keeping aside her anger in seconds.

''Didn't I anger the great Leena?" He questioned back.

''What are you talking about, babylicious. You are my lovely husband." She coaxed him, kissing on his cheeks.

''What about this?"He asked, pointing to his jeans, suppressing his laugh.

Leaning forward, she pulled his ear and whispered. "I learned how to do it."

"Did you watch any videos?" His face darkened at the thought of Leena looking at other men.

"No, I read it." She replied lazily. Is he trying to compete with me in jealousy? I will not allow that to happen.

"Good girl. You shouldn't cheat on your husband." Devin patted her head in approval. ''It's a deal then." Leena may br the upper hand, but Devin got her weakness.

"Thank you, Devin. Remember, I want all the exclusive clothes."

Until they reached the destination, did their banterings end. Leena gasped, taken away by the breathtaking beauty of the place they are going to stay. Nestled in the lush green trees, a lake surrounded the beautiful cottage. "Are we going to stay here alone? Only two of us?"

"Of course, darling. Do you like it?" Devin asked, guiding her into the room.

''It's lovely.'' Leena squealed like a child opening the curtains of the room. The moon cast a shadow in the still water turned the lake into melted platinum. Nature is sure at its best.

''Go and take a shower." He wrapped her in his embrace. "You must be tired."

"Yeap."

Devin strolled outside, making sure to lock the doors when his blue tooth earpiece buzzed,

''Everything is clear.'' Nick's voice came in when he pressed the green button.

''Good. Make sure my privacy is not disturbed for ten days."

''I will take care of it. By the way, can you put Leena on the phone once? Her phone is not reachable.'' Nick asked.

''Why?'' Devin chuckled. ''Do you want to tell how much you are missing her company?''

''Of course no, and you know the reason already." Nick ranted his frustration. He wanted her to hear how peaceful he is feeling now. She has been blackmailing him and even grubbed money for her shopping. "Betrayer! Every cat will get a day."

"She is an opportunist, Nick. You need to be very careful while dealing with her."

"Now I got to know why you have fallen for that crazy girl."

Devin could go hours listening if someone talks about Leena, but he wants to use these ten days for Leena alone.

He ended the call with Nick and strolled into the room. Freshly showered, her lavender scent wafted into his nose. Her s.e.xy dress that barely covered her body was pushing him to the brink of insanity. "You love seducing me, don't you?" His legs moved in her direction, and in no time, he pulled her head back from behind; his tongue dived in teasing her with his kisses on her nape, while his hands expertly moved to every curve of her body in a slow rhythm.

"Good know. I can seduce you without taking anything off." She retorted, shivering under his touch.

"You have persuaded me into doing something naughty." He turned her around, and without giving her a chance to protest, he carried her to the bed. He tugged the fabric of her dress a little, and with one swift move, he flipped and laid her on the bed.

His lips trailed her back with his sensual kisses and continued roaming his lips up her spine; all of a sudden, his movement stopped when his lips brushed past a tattoo, a heart-shaped tattoo with a butterfly hedged to it. His breath hitched, he backed off closing his eyes, far away from Leena as if the tattoo meant something to him. He doesn't know why a mere tattoo is affecting him without reason. His hands shook, and his vision disfigured. Without realizing it, he was pushing all his pain onto Leena's arms.

Leena winced in pain at his crude strength, her heart thumped so loud, but she endured. What happened to him suddenly? "Devin? What's wrong? Are you all right?" She felt a rush of panic, seeing him struggling to breathe. Leena slowly released her hand from his arms; a prickling sensation shot up her spine upon seeing his state. His shirt was drenched in sweat; the forehead was sweating profusely.

"I_I will take you to the hospital." Before Leena got down from the bed, he pulled her into his arms. "D_on't go. Please hug me, Leena. P_lease." Leena's heart pained as if someone was pricking with needles.

"I am here; I am here." She pulled him into her embrace and patted his back until she heard his even breathing. Her heart left the soul when she thought something might have happened to him. What did he see to the point of getting a panic attack all of a sudden?
