Chapter 182 - Whale Whale Whale

If seeing hospital grandpa knocked her to six, noticing uncle weirdo here has hit her head with tons of bricks. It must be my father-in-law. So, he knew about me already when we met at the hotel? But Devin did not tell me about it when I asked?

Even Devin was benumbed a little. He knew his father has already met her but Leena and grandfather just now have conversed as if they knew each other. Did they meet already?

"Have you met him?" He asked guiding her to the front door.

"I have met him in the hospital when I went to see my mom." While Leena explained, she peeked at the front door but the person staying behind her grandfather has disappeared. Where did he go?

But her earlier tensed face eased a little seeing two known people already. Why should you get scared, Leena? You have even pulled a prank on them. Two already down then. She knew Devin's mom is biased over another woman and she was glad that Devin honestly answered when she asked about the family members. She has already made a plan, to lure mom-in-law into her barrel and then shoot with her craziness until she melts. For now, Leena turned her attention to the person standing in front of her.

"Grandfather" Devin introduced turning to him. "She is Leena_"

Before Devin finished his words, Arthur shoved him aside and winked at Leena. "Whale Whale Whale. Look who has come to see me again."

"Whale Whale Whale, Look, I have come to see you again." Leena parroted his words with a giggle.

Arthur roared with laughter and he still wanted to test Leena's craziness. So, he went for it. "Why didn't the sun go to college?"

"Because sun already has a million degrees," Leena replied and they both gave a high-five to each other.

"My turn, my turn." Even she wanted to test if the hospital grandfather is insane just like her although she has seen it already."What's the bow that can't be tied?"

"Rainbow!" He bellowed. "Perfect! Now my weirdness looks so weird finally. Let's go inside, we have lots to talk about."

Devin: " "

"Did she abandon me?" He whispered and went back to the car to get the bananas she forgot. He thought she is joking while she said bananas as a gift.

Leena and Arthur chatted about their likes and dislikes along the way. When she entered the hallway, Arthur went into the bedroom to get something for Leena. She nodded her head and looked around the house and got a glimpse of someone sitting on the sofa reading a newspaper. She must say, he was bad at pretending. "You are reading the newspaper upside down, uncle weirdo."

With gritted teeth for getting caught so easily, Fredrick put the newspaper on the table. In a strenuous voice, he implored. "Is that how you greet your father-in-law for the first time?"

Like an obedient daughter-in-law, Leena clasped her hands together and bowed her head. "Thanks for putting up with my husband's shit for all these years, father-in-law."

"You are most welcome then. Although it was tempting to put your husband for adoption, I did not put it because?" Fredrick looked at Leena with a meaningful gaze

"Because you are the greatest." Leena completed it for him. Although it is their second time meeting grandfather and Fredrick, she was talking as if they are close to them. Having someone with the same mental disorder is priceless.

"That I am," Fredrick replied. It was a small part of revenge on Leena when she told them that he is giving a hard time with his son. he vowed on that day to get praise from Leena the next time she sees him.

Silence prevailed for a minute and both burst into laughter at once when they couldn't keep up with the acting anymore. "Our acting should win an Oscar, uncle weirdo." Leena giggled.

"Indeed, daughter-in-law. By the way, no more uncle weirdo. Call me father-in-law." Fredrick declared in a stony voice.

"But I am not yet married to your son," Leena pouted.

"It's a matter of_"

He stopped his thoughts when he caught a glimpse of his son giving a package to the maids. Suddenly an idea popped up into his mind to annoy him. "Chiku! You are here? Forgive this poor father for not noticing his son." Fredrick beamed.

Devin rolled his fists in anger as if he was rattled from the cage. She has forgotten the name already. Did he have to bring the topic again? She would mock him for a lifetime now.

Suddenly remembering the name, Leena clutched her stomach and burst out laughing, and held the chair for support which further pissed Devin.

Chiku is my babylicious? What a funny name. Now Leena understood why he was so supportive of the name on that day instead of getting jealous.

To make him red with anger, Leena got up and dashed towards him. "Chiku....which Chiku? Green Chiku or Brown Chiku?"

"Do you want me to tell the world who you are?" Devin's threats didn't work on her, for she knew he is just bluffing to make her mouth shut.

"I would have jumped from a mountain if I had such a funky name." She cackled up. Should I call him by that name from now? That would be hilarious to make him go ballistic.

"You have told that already." Devin pressed his words aggravated. It's better than the babylicious she calls.

"I know I know. But I am still reminding you." Pausing for a while, she uttered. "Chiku...."

When Devin was close to pulling her towards him to punish her, a pair of hands landed on each side of his shoulder.

"Does he bullies you, Leena?" Arthur asked in a demanding voice.

She shook her head in denial. He is a bully boy only he is kissing me. I can't tell this, right? It's our private bedroom moments.

"Where is Harley? I am not finding her." Leena asked going towards Devin. It's not only her, she is yet to see many people in the house. Don't they know that I have come to meet them? Why are they hiding? Leena pouted.

"She went with my brother for some urgent work. She will be back." Devin explained and looked at his father asking for everyone. He can't believe Eve is giving him a hard time even when he brought Leena here.

...

While they were happily conversing with each other, meanwhile, is a vast room, three people were sitting on the bed whispering to each other.

"He has brought her home," Sharon murmured. "Dad and brother are talking to her and they seem fond of her." Sharon wanted to run from this place and see her but her sister-in-law, Evelyn is against the idea. She did not even let her watch the press meet when everybody spoke about the chivalry she has shown.

"I will go check what they are speaking." Callison went out of the room. They waited for a while but he didn't come back and Sharon eventually understood his purpose of going. He has been waiting for the day since yesterday, it was a wonder he still complied with Eve's wishes.

"Eve, don't ruin the big day. Let's go." Sharon said.

"I am not coming." As stubborn as she is when his son did not listen to her, why should she listen to him?

"I forgot to take a tablet for my cold. I will be back in a while." Grabbing the chance, Sharon dashed away from the room.

As persistent as she was, Evelyn did not step down even when Sharon tried to appease her. She could hear fits of laughter down the hall but still, she refused to see go. When she was sulking, the door was pushed open and she doesn't need to know who it was.

"Why didn't you come down, Eve?" Fredrick asked. "She is beautiful and cheerful. I bet you will like her more than the girl you talked about." He almost knew all her friends but has no idea which friend's daughter she likes. Is she talking about Leena by any chance?

"Don't give a hard time to her." He coaxed her. "It's not good to sit here alone when someone has come to meet our family. At the very least, you should greet her."

"Okay." Eve agreed. Even she felt that she was acting a little cranky which was not her. We can't get everything we ask for. She reluctantly accepted the truth and went along with him.

While she was stepping down the stairs, a familiar person smiling and talking to her father in law came into her sight, the more she got closer. Eve's eyes widened in shock for a split second. She was surprised to see her here.
