Chapter 148 - Twilight forest (2)

Having read the appraisal from the system nick was stunned by the existence of such a strange creature since by all accounts the viper could only be said to be a luck based hunter since it attacked any creature it came across regardless of strength meaning if it encountered something far more powerful than it the viper would be guaranteed to perish. nick relaxed a bit since a tier three beast was not even a threat to him so he started walking towards the viper calmly and being stupid as the system said the viper tried to attack nick only for it to die from the pressure nick released. nick simply picked up the body and took all the valuable parts before burning the rest then he headed deeper into the forest. after carefully advancing for about five minutes nick found day old tracks that belonged to a bear type demon beast and he hoped it was the one he sought so he could leave this place. following this trail nick came across fresh tracks as well as claw marks from the bear type beast marking its territory.

Cautiously nick continued through the area for a few hundred yards when he stopped because his ears picked up a sound coming from behind a few trees in front of him which caused him to heighten his guard even further before he silently snuck forward carefully. nick reached the trees from which he heard the sound coming from and he slowly peaked around one of them where he saw the sources of the sounds a huge red bear with short sharp spikes protruding from its spine and elbows. from what nick knew this creature should be called a terracotta bear but to be sure nick had the system appraise.
