Chapter 129 - Foundation

"What about you?" the goddess asked worried. nick pulled out a massive copper shield with several layers out of his inventory. "this shield will take most of the energy that comes at me so while I'll still take a great deal of damage i shall survive." nick explained seriously. jakob spoke up first after nick finished speaking. "i don't like this." he said worried about nick. lo mia and the goddess both nod in agreement with jakob. nick sighs " look if i could get into safety before the energy came at me i would but I'm very much aware that I'm nowhere fast enough to do so." he said honestly. the goddess brightened up when she heard that the reason nick would be injured was his lack of speed. "you might not be fast enough but i should be." she said cheerfully. nick was stunned at this not because it was unexpected but because it was true. nick laughed "you know it's kind of funny." he said with a grin. "what is?" the goddess asked confused. "you are around so often that I've almost completely forgotten that you are way more powerful than me." he said with a chuckle.

The three were surprised at this but quickly realized that it was completely normal for something like that to happen since even lo mia and jakob had done the same thing to the goddess. the reason it happened was that unlike nick who almost continuously showed his power the goddess rarely did so making her much easier to forget about. understanding this the four all laughed at the funny situation before turning serious again. "well since my safety is in good hands we should put lo mia and jakob into the dark before coming back to mix the materials." nick said to the goddess who nodded before grabbing the other two and vanishing in a puff of darkness. almost instantly afterwards the goddess returned and grabbed nick in a hug from behind with a content smile on her face. nick ignored the goddess since he figured he would just let her have it for her help before turning to the materials with a serious expression. first nick combined the tier one materials woodstone and Nickle to create the weightless sand before turning to to iron and bloodstone with a serious expression.

Nick melted the two together and spoke up "prepare yourself." he said to the goddess who grew serious. feeling the change nick created a light breeze to push the sand into the molten mixture before bracing himself. the moment the sand entered the molten mixture a blinding light was released and then nick found himself in the dark completely safe. "so the reaction should be over now we can go back to start the real work." nick said while carefully removing himself from the goddess who was holding onto him with a huge smile. lo mia looked extremely jealous while jakob was trying not to laugh at her. nick ignored their antics and grabbed jakob before walking out of the dark with him. as soon as they arrived in the real world they were struck with intense heat like standing in a volcano causing them to breakout in sweat. the area with the materials now was covered in molten earth with a massive bright crimson metallic orb hovering above the ground looking mysterious. nick pointed at the orb with a smile "that shall become the foundation for our new home."
