Chapter 104 - training(2)

"i still don't like that idea of you trying to kill me" jakob said calmly. nick shook his head "if i didn't go all out the amount of strength you would get from the training would barely be worth the effort." nick said calmly. jakob sighed "i know that however i still don't like it , that said i will accept your help growing stronger." he said determination in his voice. nick grinned "excellent now we just need that goddess to show up and we can begin also since it would just increase the likelihood of me accidentally fatally injuring you i will not be using any weapons." nick said before setting up a table and four chairs. sitting down nick handed jakob a soda before opening one for himself. taking a sip of the refreshing beverage nick relaxed himself and simply enjoyed the temporary peace he had with his friend. about fifteen minutes later lo mia and the goddess both arrived while chatting with each other obviously the two had become fast friends.

Both lo mia and the goddess were stunned briefly when they saw how relaxed nick was but the moment nick looked at the two they watched as the content look on his face rapidly vanished before being replaced by one of apathy. both of the girls hearts ached when they saw it but neither showed it as this was not the first time they saw such a scene. "we've been waiting for you to show up goddess." nick said blandly. the goddess perked up slightly when nick addressed her. "why?" she asked curious. nick pointed at jakob "this guy needs to grow stronger quickly and the best way is for him to fight against me while I'm not holding back." nick explained calmly. "no offense jakob but wouldn't that be akin to suicide by suffering?" the goddess asked confused. jakob sighed "no offense taken , but to answer your question yes it would be suicide if it were not for a single thing." he said calmly. the goddess looked even more confused "what thing?" she asked. nick grinned showing a small amount of emotion. "that would be you of course." he said amused.

the goddess raised an eyebrow "i don't follow." nick chuckled lightly "it's simple really you are going to grab jakob just so he can get the experience from a life and death situation without actually dying." he said while grinning. the goddess rubbed her chin i thought before speaking. "and what do i get out of this?" she asked with an expectant look on her face. nicks grin froze when he heard her and his eyebrows furrowed. after a few seconds of internal debating nick spoke "i will tell azdra to stop keeping you at a distance." he said with a sigh of defeat. the goddess grinned "deal!" she agreed. nick nodded "now that that is out of the way we can start." nick said before standing up and removing the table and two of the chairs. jakob sighed but stood up out of his chair nonetheless. after clearing the area nick had azdra sit over out of the way before he took up his stance and released his limiters. instantly nick transformed and he summoned his law crown which flew above his head.

both jakobs and lo mia's faces pale from the pressure nick was releasing while the goddess swooned. jakob drew his sword and spoke through gritted teeth "ready." nick heard jakob and nodded. "begin!" he yelled before launching himself at jakob with a loud crack as he broke the sound barrier. jakob dodged to the left but since he was much slower than nick only barely managed to reduce the amount of damage he took since nicks fist only grazed his right arm. the sheer force behind nicks punch however sent jakob flying to the side. nick didn't let up and pivoted his left foot redirecting his momentum so he spun to face jakob where he charged using his maintained momentum.
