Chapter 99 - discussion(2)

nick scowled "you think i don't know that ! the problem is that the way she is pursuing me is not at all what i was expecting." nick exclaimed in anger. jakob shrugged "every person is different so it only makes sense that the method they use to pursue you is different as well." he said with a helpless expression. nick sighed in defeat "I know that , it doesn't change how exhausting it is though." nick said before he suddenly had an idea. at first nick thought there was no way that it could work but the more he thought about it the more feasible it sounded. jakob saw the look of deep concentration on nicks face and became curious. "you just got some sort of idea right? well don't keep me in suspense, what is it?" he asked intrigued. nick looked at jakob "so the problem is that the way I'm being pursued is extremely stressful for me right?" nick asked causing jakob to nod. "so what would happen if I setup a date where the person has an entire day to try to woo me without any of the hassle on me?" nick said seriously. jakob was stunned at nicks idea because at first glance the idea seems too flimsy to work but once you really think about it the idea begins to show its worth. "its so ridiculously simple it just might work!" jakob says excitedly.

suddenly a certain goddess shows up with a huge smile on her face "i call dibs on the first date!" she says excitedly. both nick and jakob jump into defensive positions out of surprise while azdra leaps to attack the newcomer from the same reason. the look on the goddesses face changes from excitement to terror when she sees the little beast that launched itself at her. "eek!" she screamed before vanishing into the dark. azdra lands on the ground with a skid looking confused that it missed. "why do you have a variant celestial wyrm!?" the goddess questions nick with fear in her voice. nick walks over to azdra who is currently circling the area the goddess stood a moment ago trying to figure out where she went. scooping the little wyrm up nick puts him back on his shoulder before calling out into the dark. "you can come back now but from the shadow over there so i can grab the little one if he leaps again." nick said while pointing to the shadow on the side of the house. the shadow distorted as the goddess slowly showed up through it head first while she kept a wary stare on the wyrmling as she brought the rest of her body through the shadow. azdra of course tried to launch himself at the goddess again but didn't get more than a foot from nick before he was grabbed gently but firmly on the neck by nick stopping him from going anywhere.

azdra struggled to free himself but nick paid his efforts no mind before he put azdra back on his shoulder and commanded him firmly "stay". the little wyrmling stopped resisting so nick let it go where it stayed on nicks shoulder fanning its winged limbs aggressively and hissing at the goddess. seeing azdras antics nick just shook his head before turning his attention back top the goddess who was cautiously watching the wyrmling. in truth if it was a weaker variant of wyrm she wouldn't have panicked however she had seen the power of an a.d.u.l.t celestial wyrm and just the memory caused her to shiver at the thought of it.
