[Ding! Host has a 90% chance to kill the beast located at the Spirit Spring.]

"Finally! Let's go kill the beast then." Says Ye Mo as he walks towards the spirit spring cave. An hour later, Ye Mo is outside the cave where the spirit spring is located. Not encountering any beasts along the way, Ye Mo knows the beast is still here, and possibly cultivating, which is a good chance for him.

Ye Mo walks inside the cave quietly while hiding in the shadows along the way. The cave is so large that it takes him an hour just to get to the end of it. Once he reaches the end, Ye Mo notices a small pond that is about half the size of the lake in the middle of a large space.

Looking closer, Ye Mo can spot a huge spider laying in the middle of the spirit spring. Speechless by the size of the spider, Ye Mo checks it out with the system.

[Qi Ji Stage 8 Hell Fire Spider. Don't get hit by the fire, at all!]

It's cultivation increased as expected. After reading the description given, he knows the spider can use fire, similar to how the snake could use poison. Taking his sword out of the belt, Ye Mo walks out of the shadows and sneaks behind the spider. It obviously notices him, and it quickly got out of the spirit spring. It seems it doesn't want to fight in it, neither does Ye Mo.

Once it is out of the spirit spring, Ye Mo is already in front of it, stabbing his sword towards it's stomach. The spider can't dodge completely due to it's large size, so the sword manages to leave a gash on it's stomach, which starts bleeding heavily.

Squeaking loudly, the spider stabs one of it's front legs towards Ye Mo, who dodges and slashes the leg, severing it. The spider squeaks out in pain, and opens it's mouth, spitting out a wave of fire. Already ready for it, Ye Mo manages to roll to the side, dodging the fire completely. The spot the fire hit, completely burned up and turned into ash.

Suddenly feeling a huge sense of danger, Ye Mo stops his stab and jumps to the left, dodging the second wave of fire, which hits another spot in the cave and turning it into ash even faster than the first time. With cold sweat going down his forehead, Ye Mo stabs his sword into the spiders head, ending it's life.

Cutting up the spiders head, Ye Mo grabs a palm sized Inner Core, which is double the size of the other cores he has seen.

[Ding! Host has killed Qi ji Stage 8 Hell Fire Spider. Gained 150 points.]

[Ding! System has detected 1 Qi Ji Stage 8 Inner Core Would Host like to sell it for 500 points? Y/N]

After clicking yes, Ye Mo gains a total of 650 points. He can level up the system, while also having enough points left over to buy some stuff. Ye Mo cuts off some meat from the spider, which smells pretty nasty. He doesn't really care though, since it helps him increase his strength.

Eating the spider meat, Ye Mo feels his stats increase a lot more than it has before, so he curiously checks his status.

"What the hell? My stats all increased by about 10, just by eating that spiders meat? Freaking insane. Nice bonus, haha. Okay. System upgrade your level." Says Ye Mo while wondering what be added after the system upgrades.

[Ding! Does Host wish to increase System to Level 2? the price is 1000 points. Y/N]

After pressing the yes buŧŧon, Ye Mo suddenly finds himself blacking out, and falling towards the ground. He just so happens to fall into the spirit spring, as he was beside it at the time.

After Ye Mo fell unconscious, a barrier appeared at the entrance of the cave, hiding it from site. Although Ye Mo was unconscious, due to falling into the Spirit Spring, his cultivation is increasing at a fast pace.

Qi Ji Stage 7...

Qi Ji Stage 8...

Qi Ji Stage 9...

Qi Ji Stage 9 Peak...

Unfortunately, Ye Mo didn't breakthrough to the Qi Lo Realm. The Spirit Spring was completely absorbed by Ye Mo, as well as the System. If the System didn't absorb any of the Spirit Spring, Ye Mo could have broken through to the Qi Mu Realm, at the very least. The Spirit Spring helped the System during it's upgrade though.

Ye Mo slowly opens his eyes, and notices something feels completely different to him. He feels like he can sense everything within the cave, and even outside of the cave, he can 'see' all the trees, as well as a few beasts.

Ye Mo closes his eyes and the feeling is gone, and he slowly sits up from the ground and looks around. He notices he is inside the place where the spirit spring was located, but it is now completely empty. Utterly confused, Ye Mo asks the System what happened.

[Ding! Host fell into the Spirit Spring while the System was undergoing the upgrade. Host, as well as System, absorbed all of the Spirit Spring, leaving it dry. Host can check his status to see what changed.]

Slowly nodding his head, Ye Mo opens his status and what he sees shocks him.

"What the hell happened System? I can understand my cultivation increasing due to the now empty Spirit Spring, but what is this new Traits thing, as well as this Divine Sense. Why do my skills have a B and D beside them now as well?" Confusedly asks Ye Mo as he has no idea what is going on.

[Ding! Since the System has upgraded, the 'Traits' was added to the Status. The Divine Sense and Divine Body are extraordinary things, which Host shouldn't have. Due to an unknown reason, Host has gained them though. The Divine Sense allows Host to use his mental energy to 'look' outside of his body, and check his surroundings. This is a very useful skill, as it can help Host look for ambushes. The Divine Body will cause Host's body to be nigh indestructible. Host can obviously still take damage and can still die, but the damage Host takes is lessened immensely. The (B) and (D) beside your skills stands for 'Basic' and 'Divine' They are considered grades. They go from: Basic, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Epic, Heavenly, Saint, Divine, and God. A total of 9 grades.]

"So, I am basically overpowered now. Got it. It will help me survive, so I don't even care anymore. Too many surprises ever since I came to this world." Mutters Ye Mo before he sighs and stands up, jumping out of the pit he is in now.

Once he jumps out of the pit, he notices that the Hell Fire Spider's body is now completely gone. Ye Mo figures that it was disintegrated during the System upgrade. Not that he cares since he already ate most of the meat. Ye Mo shakes his head and walks towards the cave entrance.

"System, are there any beasts nearby that are around my level of strength? I need to get used to my new strength now." Asks Ye Mo as he walks out of the cave entrance, entering the forest once again.

[Ding! There is a Qi Ji Stage 9 Beast east of Host's location. Follow the arrow.]

As Ye Mo follows the arrow, he also uses his newfound skill, Divine Sense. He can instantly 'see' 100 meters around him. He notices a few weak beasts around, all of them around Qi Ji Stage 5 or 6. After following the arrow for around 2 hours, Ye Mo finally reaches the end of it. When he looks for the beast, he feels a presence to the left of him, so he instantly grabs his sword and looks in that direction.
