Chapter 205 - IT'S A GIRL!

Sitting on the toilet seat, holding the stick in her hands, eyeing it with so much treasure.

Teardrops fell down on the plus sign imprinted on the stick. Happiness...it felt like seeping back inside her nerves, coursing through her blood.

She stood up and ran to her bedroom to grab the laptop and face timed Madison, waiting for them to pick up from the other side.

Fuck!! Jesus!! This is the best news we had heard in the entire month and months..."

Madi said, finally straitening the camera and this time, Lana was there too with her. Tin nodded.

"Congratulations!!! Can't wait to meet you!!"

Lana let out. Tinsley agreed. She missed them too. Especially going out to lunch with Lana. They always had so much in common.

"Can't believe I will be an aunt in nine months from now!"

Sweat drops danced on her forehead as she saw him... amid the crowd, the waiting parents.

He was standing there, raising his hands out for her little Ava and when she parted her gaze to look in the opposite direction from him to see her daughter...Ava had a big smile plastered on her face.

Tinsley gulped the saliva down her throat, her lips got dried, her voice got sealed in her larynx as she tried to stop her baby girl from running into the arms of that man...

"Daddy!!"

She screamed, clapped her hands, her grey eyes were delighted to see her father waiting for her..missing to notice her mother out of the immense joy.

"No...no nono, Ava!! No!!"

She tried her best to halt her daughter's little step from running towards him but it was to no use as her shouts for stopping her angel got lost in the crowd.

In no minute, her little body was pasted to his as he lifted her up and threw her up in the air as if she weighed nothing at all.

Ava clapped her hands out of amusement and ignited him to go for more.

Tinsley ran up to them, thrashing the people to the side and held his bicep before he could repeat the action.

He tilted his head to the side and saw her. His grey pairs peeking into her evergreen forest ones.

"Finally found you!"

He smirked and it ran shivers down her spine when he said that the way he said it...the noises in the background seemed to have faded as she could only listen, and hear to his sayings in a loop...

"Finally found you!!"

As if there was no escaping from him anymore. He found her. He found her daughter and he was not going to let them go this time...that easily for sure!

The pring pring sound went off and all of a sudden, her eyes fluttered open to analyze if it were real.

Her eyes ran around the nip and pin of her bedroom thoroughly and saw that she was safe...safe in the confinement of her house, her bedroom, on her bed.

It was just a weird bad bad dream...very vivid and informative in the details...the kind of dream, you need not forget when you wake up in the morning and it keeps hitting you hard in your head, thinking about it nonstop...about what it had really meant if dreams indeed carried a secret message, a warning to the near future.

But as the alarm went off, Tinsley had no time to ponder much about it. She had to get up and get ready for work.

She pulled the duvet aside from her body, revealing her three-month-old bump.

"I love you, Ava dolly!"

She patted her bulged out belly and got up from the bed. It had become a morning ritual for her to start her morning by saying that.

Heading to the bathroom, brushing her teeth and after a warm shower, she slipped inside her working clothes.

Eating healthy all the time had made her gain weight and she was really not complaining about it.

When all her life, she had been dictated to keep a perfect body to seem attractive in the eyes of men...she did not ever have a healthy diet.

She was never good at working out and it was a huge disappointment for her father who believed having a daughter like her, one who was not as physically active as him, was just another to add shaming upon her character.

She was so like her mother. Marshally never worked out either but she had mastered the arts of dieting and staying in shape.

She tried to inculcate the same behaviour into Tinny but Tins always had a sweet tooth which forced her mother to not let her daughter eat at all.

Getting married, living with her then-husband, things changed but there was this insecurity...the fear that he would not be attracted to her anymore if she gained weight.

He never let out such a signal but internally, she could not help but feel that and in circumstances where her husband had so many admirers...so many women who wanted him even after knowing that he was married.

But now with having no men to please, no parents to lecture her about staying in shape, she could eat anything and everything she wanted. Being pregnant was another added bonus.

She tied her hair back in a messy bun, finished eating the pancakes and headed out for work, locking the door behind her.

On the way, she had greeted Jessica. The old woman was helping her in so many ways.

"You look so adorable popping those cupcakes inside your mouth."

Bethany said. They were both on their lunch break and were finishing the leftover cakes together.

Beth with her five-month-old bump and Tin with her three-month-old, almost going to four, they had become besties, supporting each other throughout this pregnancy.

"You are going to that checkup with me, later today?"

Tinsley asked hopefully. Bethany had been accompanying her to all the doctor's appointments so far and it was helpful in a way to have someone with you during those checkups.

"Hmmm, sure! I just need to drop by in to run a few errands we could go together."

Bethany said, smiling. And Tinsley smiled back. They both silently finished their mini luncheon slowly.

Within the next few weeks, Beth and Tin went to her another checkup. It had been a struggle to decide whether or not to get the gender reveal done or wait for the surprise.

Beth was having a baby girl and she had been inducing Tinsley to go for it. Take the gender reveal procedure and get to know the baby's gender.

It helped in setting up the nursery, getting the right baby clothes instead of going for a gender-neutral one.

Beth had already taken her to the shop to buy some baby clothes. Simple things like napkins, pacifiers and whatnot.

Baby stores were just so adorable. Every piece of clothing, every dress, every object, were just so adorable that it made anyone to buy everything but it was not possible when you were running on a tight budget.

"Everything seems fine, normal and the baby is healthy too."

The doctor said, running the ultrasound stick all over Tinsley's bump, semi-wet with the cold jelly-like substance rubbed over her.

"Do you want to know the gender of the baby?"

The doctor offered and Tinsley had a second thought of denying it but ended up nodding her head.

The doctor examined the screen, looking for the baby's genitalia, a possible clitoris, also called the hamburger sign...to see if it was a girl and if not, a boy...

Tinsley too kept her eyes on the screen, staring at it with deep concentration trying to figure things out although she had no idea what the doctor was looking for.

"It's a girl! A very healthy girl!"

The doctor let out and she could not believe that it had come true...she was indeed having a girl.

She had only dreamt and thought of a girl but did not really know if it were going to be true.

For that confusion only, she had picked out two names, Ava if it were to be a girl and Adam if it were to be a boy.

Although her heart kept saying that it was a girl and it came true. Perhaps a mother's intuition knew it.

"Look right here, do you see the labia and clitoris developing?? It's still very early but it is a girl..."

The doctor pointed at the screen. Tinsley's eyes watered as she was seeing her baby girl developing, growing inside her womb.

"She is healthy so need to worry and congratulations!"

The doctor exclaimed and let Tinsley dress up from wearing off the hospital gown.

Later, heading out, she found Beth waiting in the waiting area, she approached her and Beth turned around.

"It's a girl!"
