“Eat slowly. Leave some for me!” Shi Mu grabbed another handful of seasoning and scattered it on the meat skewers in his hand. He picked the largest and best skewers and handed them to Shi Man. Then, he placed the rest on the table for his brothers to eat.

As soon as Su Tang and Yi Zheng stepped into the manor, they smelled the rich fragrance of meat.

Su Tang quickened her pace and walked in. She immediately saw Shi Man, who was holding a large handful of meat skewers. She was sitting in the middle of the group with a bottle of red wine at her feet.

“Manman.” She greeted the other brothers of the Shi family first and walked obediently to Shi Man.

Shi Man moved to the side and the two of them sat on a chair. She stuffed the skewers in her hand into her hand. “Eat quickly. They’re very fragrant.”

“Have you been drinking?” Although the smell of alcohol was not strong, Su Tang could still smell the fresh fragrance of wine coming from her mouth when she spoke.

“Yes, do you want to drink it?” Shi Man handed her her wine glass, indicating that she could try it.

Su Tang waved her hand and refused. “Forget it. I don’t know how to drink. You should drink less.”

“Why do I feel that Su Tang looks like Manman’s wife?” Shi Mu’s curious gaze darted back and forth between the two of them, and he really sensed something.

Shi He immediately glared at Shi Mu unhappily. “Don’t talk nonsense. Why are you so dirty?”

“How am I dirty?” Shi Mu was very unconvinced and decided not to let him eat any of the grilled meat skewers in the next round.

Shi Yu was the first to notice Yi Zheng standing at the door. He put down his things and wiped his hands clean before coming over to welcome him. “I didn’t expect you to be here too. Come and sit.”

Shi Mu and Shi He, who were still bickering, immediately stopped. They quietened down visibly with the same ferocious expression on their faces. The meat skewers in Shi Mu’s hand creaked.

It was obvious who it was they were targeting.

Shi Yu smiled awkwardly. After getting Yi Zheng to sit in his seat, he instructed the servant to bring over a chair and casually handed him a skewer of beef. “Fourth Brother grilled it. Try it.”

“Brother! I won’t let him eat it!” Shi Mu’s eyes were about to pop out. He stared fiercely at the skewer of beef, wishing he could pounce on it immediately to protect it.

Yi Zheng chuckled and raised his hand to deliberately put the meat to the tip of his nose to sniff. Seeing Shi Mu and Shi He waiting for an opportunity to pounce on him like hungry wolves, he put down the meat skewer and smiled indifferently. “I’m not eating anymore. Your two brothers don’t welcome me.”

“And me, I don’t welcome you much either.” Shi Man put on a fake smile and undermined him mercilessly.

“I remember that the last time I allowed Su Tang to come to your house, I said that as Su Tang’s guardian, in order to ensure her safety, the Yi family will escort her.” Yi Zheng looked up at Shi Man. Not only was there no anger in his eyes, but there was a trace of a smile. “You agreed to this.”

She had long seen how much Yi Zheng ignored Su Tang. How could he personally escort her because he was worried about Su Tang’s safety? This was not his style at all.
