Chapter 106 - Protective

"My princess," Pana said putting her hands on mine before my hands stopped shaking.

I sniffed and continued to wipe the mud and blood out of their face as a drop of tear twinkled down my cheek.

My heart thundered when I hear a knock on the door. I shove the twin's bloodstained clothes under the bed.

I gulped, wiping the tears out from my face, and let a gentle sigh out before opening the door to see who it was. One of the guards stood in front of the door as I let out a deep breath. I thought we have been discovered.

"My princess our signal is broken and among other things in the chopper got broken because of the strong wind but don't worry the pilots are fixing the signal we will get through Zamuniland for them to send another chopper to pick us up," the guard announced.

"Okay let them hurry, I don't want to spend the night here," I mumbled as my voice cracked. I was trying hard to keep my nervousness under control but to no avail.

"Are you okay my princess? You look nervous," the guard asked with concern.

"Yes," I pout shutting the door in his face.

One look at the twins and my nerves were calmed.

I bet this is what motherhood is all about. You love and protect your children no matter what it takes.

I smiled at them and went over to hug them.

Roland's POV

"Roland what you are doing is dangerous, this spell is very dangerous," Norinika mumbled trying to convince me not to cast the spell I made for the twin.

"Aside from the fact that it can haul other witches' attention to them, Alpha Baby is not going to allow you to cast a spell on his heiresses," Deminika added.

"Moreover the spell has irreversible consequences," Mary-Anne rumbles.

"Roland, Alpha Baby is going to kill you if he finds out the spell can prevent the twins from ever having their wolf form," Betty muttered.

They are all bent on stopping me but all I can about is Nancy and I know she will want the twins to have a normal life even if it means not being able to shift into a wolf or vampire. I thought.

-Do you think so? did she tell you that? remember how happy she was with those werewolf powers huh?- Betty enters my mind as I push her out almost immediately.

Something I let my guard down which made her get access to read my mind.

"No alpha would want a child who can't shift into his wolf form it is considered a bad omen," Leo added in his opinion.

I was busy preparing everything, ready to cast the spell, ignoring everyone's opinion.

"I don't care, this is our only solution at the moment, to suppress their powers and not only their werewolf side but also their vampire side." I tried to explain but none of them seems to understand. I smell Baby's presence at the door.

"I know you are there Baby, you can come out now!" I chuckled turning to face the door.

He walks in with an angry look on his face.

"Okay since you are all against it so badly, I will call Nancy and ask her opinion. Agreed?" I mumbled looking at their faces as they nod their heads.

"I don't care what Nancy will say, all I know is that you are not going to cast that spell," Baby growls walking away like I care what he thinks.

Nancy's POV

Luckily they were able to fix the signal and get in touch with Zenab who was so glad we were doing okay.

"I will send another chopper right away to your location now, I have been working tirelessly to get your signal," Zenab sighed in relief.

The rain has finally stopped. We were waiting outside. I could see the chopper trying to land.

The owner of the inn came over to speak with me.

"Can I speak with you alone before you leave?" He mumbled, his voice was enough to scare me even though he looked like someone who meant no harm.

"Pana, take the children, and go sit down I will be back soon," I instructed, the guards try to follow me. I motion them to stay behind.

I walk with the man to another shelter not far from the inn. His silence was killing me.

It seems he wanted to show me something and I wonder what it is.

He pushed the wooden door open, the door swung open slowly revealing what he wanted to show me as I swiftly turn my head, shutting my eyes because I couldn't watch nor stand the sight of the horror.

I glare at him as my eyes widen but he was calm and quiet. Is it what I am thinking?...

"Yes my princess," he whispered as if he knew what was going on in my mind. I almost fainted.

I stumbled as his firm handheld me up back on my feet. My legs were trembling under me.

"No please, they didn't do this," I cried holding my chest that was about to explode.

"I just wanted you to see this, don't worry I will take care of it," the man said pulling the door closed, he had calmness in his eyes, I stare into those brown eyes of his hoping I will find some kind of resentment but nothing.

He doesn't hate me nor blames me for the slaying.

"My princess, there are protective of their mother it only natural," the man grins as I watch him in tears.

"By the way my name is Astrid and I have been living here for the past decade, it is an honor to finally meet you," he mumbled as I sniffed.

"Thank you, Mr. Astrid," I murmured in admiration for the kindness he has shown me.

"Go on now, take care of them, they might be the ones to stop the killing between the three species," he giggles forcing me to leave.

I nod while tossing a gentle smile toward him. He waves at us as the chopper took off, I look out the window, the shelter was on fire and within a second before people could come around everything was burned to ashes.

"Oh, my princess the shelter is on fire, I hope people are not in there," Pana sobs as I stare at the twin, they look my way and giggled.

They look like angels, I can't believe they would go to that length to protect me. Mr. Astrid's words kept swinging in my head throughout the entire flight.

"They are special and nothing like the way the world wants to paint them to be, I watch vampire baby wipe out an entire town, not even a single soul was left."

"They don't know when to stop but them, they wipe out a gang that tried to hurt their mother, and what even baffles me is how they manage to stop after getting rid of their enemies and going back to the room on their own,"

Barbara and Barbie left the room when Pana fell asleep and entered big boss and his boy's shelter, I don't know what they heard but they slaughtered them all.

The eight of them were massacred, the entire room was painted with blood. I still can't get the sight out of my mind to think my innocent angels did that.

Barbara started to cry, "What is wrong my darling?" I said as I pick her up on my lap.

They refuse to eat when Pana tried to feed them, it seems they are on a special diet now and I don't know how I'm going to handle that.

"Talk to me princess," I whimpered as she kept throwing her hands in my face, I held her hand thinking she wanted to pull my hair.

I finally let her have her way, now she was calm. she stood on my lap and brought her head close to mine. I felt a sharp shock passing through my vein.

At the moment everything that happened, she showed it to me as her forehead touched mine, incredible, how did she manage to do that?

They were the ones that took them to the shelter and when they heard what they were planning to do to me they killed them.

"Mummy is not mad at you princess, and you too honey," I said turning to face Barbie as well.

"I love you two so much and mummy has to protect you, so listen to me no matter what risk we face, I will die trying to protect you two, understand?" I whispered as I hug both of them.

I don't know if they understand me but I know they are more relaxed.

Grandma and Zenab were waiting at the entrance for us, and yes I could see prince Asher and prince Assin as well, I can't believe I will have to deal with prince Asher's silly ass again, my opinion of selling him to slavery hasn't changed at all.

I smiled at the thought of it as we get down from the chopper.
