=========Sometime before=========

"So.... let's just go over this one more time, so please listen very carefully as this is something you need to understand" Mika said with her hands clasped together in front of her face while looking over at Yama with a very frustrated and annoyed look on her face.

"Okay"

"What are you going to do when we get there and are ready to start the battle?" Mika asked while trying her best to be as patient as possible with the seemingly oblivious leader of the Gargoyles, a task that she was finding harder and harder to keep doing as time went on.

"Run in like a complete and utter badass before killing every single one of them single handedly before anyone else has the chance to join in or do anything whatsoever" Yama answered without any hesitation as he proudly nodded to himself in such a way that it said "look at me, I figured it out".

"No! You don't do that, you sit there like a good little boy and wait for your damn orders!" Mika yelled while throwing her hands up into the air with a very irritated and pissed off look on her face.

"Alright alright fine, I'll wait for my orders" Yama said sarcastically.

"You better.... sigh.... okay okay moving on, what do you do when you get those orders? Think about your answer before you speak this time"

"Hmmmm HMMMMMMM.... I got it!" Yama spoke after a surprisingly long moment of him seemingly contemplating quite deeply on his answer.

"Good, you follo-"

"I ignore them completely and charge the enemy head on without a care in the god damn world about what anyone else is doing or saying!"

"Oh for fuċk sakes!"

I was currently sitting in front of a campfire in the middle of a rather large camp site with hundreds of tents of varying sizes scattered around the whole area. There were also large numbers of my people as well as former slaves walking around doing various things, some were unloading stuff from the Thunderpedes while others were simply patrolling the area or getting in some quick training. We had been slowly travelling towards our objective for several hours now and had finally decided to set up camp for the night. Sitting next to me was Bels and Fuyuko they, just like me, were watching a very strange, yet rather entertaining conversation between Mika and Yama who were standing a bit further away from us.

"What are they doing?" Bels asked with a confused look on her face as she watched the two start to argue amongst themselves.

"Apparently Mika was trying to explain to Yama how waiting for the right time to fight and following orders works, unfortunately however, that task is much harder then it would appear to be" Fuyuko explained with a shake of her head.

"I keep telling her that it is literally an impossible task that no one can accomplish not even me, after all, the only things that Yama truly understands are fighting, being angry all the time and food. Anything else besides those three things is a world shattering mystery to him that he physically can't understand, or he just straight up refuses to try and understand whatever it is you try to tell him" I simply shrugged while resting my head on my hand.

"Oh come on, he can't be that bad... right?" After saying this Bels immediately received a blank look from me.

"Two days ago I explained to him that it's possible to win a battle without actually fighting, this alone took me over two hours to make him understand.... anyway, he then spent the next five or so hours mumbling to himself in a corner of the castle while looking at the wall in front of him with a thousand yard stare"

(If I'm being honest with myself though I am actually kind of hoping that ends up happening again, I mean come on, those were the quietest five hours that I have had ever since I first created Yama) I thought to myself.

"I.... your.... your joking right?" She asked not able to tell if I was actually being serious or not.

"Do I look like I'm joking to you?" I responded while giving her a looked that made it very clear that I wasn't.

"Anyway... errrm... so can I ask why we're heading straight towards the enemy while basically letting them know exactly where we are, you know, instead of moving through the much safer tunnels were they can't see us?" Bels asked after a long couple of seconds of me staring unblinking at her, it was pretty obvious to me that she was trying to change the subject but I didn't really care.

"There are four main reasons for that. First, it would take far to long for us to transport all of our people through those cramped tunnels as there just isn't enough space, after all, we are moving an army of just over three thousand and that's not even adding in our little surprise we have been preparing the past couple of days. Second, we are doing it this way so that Kaen and the other Harbingers can attack the other base while the cult's attention is on us. Third, we have been using the tunnels a lot lately so they will probably expect us to try and attack them like that again, if I was them I would deffentaly set up several countermeasures to stop that kind of attack from working so well again"

"And finally, by doing it this way they will start to think that we are being over confident in our abilitys, basically they will think we are underestimating them which we most certainly aren't of course. Also by doing it this way they will think that we don't really have all that much information on the overall strength of their forces which isn't true whatsoever, this will also make it a little easier on the Wraiths when they are out spying on them" Fuyuko explained again with her usual professional vibe.

"Doesn't that mean that we are not only the distraction for the mission that the Harbingers are on but we are also giving ourselves a some what large disadvantage in the upcoming battle by basically letting the cult know we are coming ahead of time, even if doing it this way also gives us some advantages as well?" Bels looked a little worried after saying that.

"Yep, that's pretty much the whole plan" I said in a relaxed and amused tone as I saw her beginning to fidget just a little.

The plan that we had come up with was fairly simple overall, me as well as most of our forces that weren't needed to guard our territory would march straight towards the enemy, this would give the cult some time to prepare for our arrival, however, it would also act as cover for Kaen and his group to take the other base. To make sure that we won't get attacked on the way there or while we were resting for the night we had split off several smaller groups that would surround the main army, if they did end up encountering any enemy forces they could easily send out a bright beam of light into the sky with enchanted equipment I had given them before hand. If you also add the fact that we had a large number of invisible Wraiths that were patrolling the area as well it was fairly easy to say that it would be rather hard to get the drop on us.

"Isn't that a little, you know, risky?"

"Oh definitely" I answered without any hesitation.

"You know, you're not really filling me with confidence about this plan right now"

"It'll be fine, I mean come on, what's the worst thing that could happen? Oh right, we could all die, we could be turned into Puppets or we could all get captured and tortured for who knows how long" I smirk lightly as I looked down at her.

"Okay now your just trying to scare me aren't you?"

"Yep" when I said that she puffed out her cheeks cutely while glaring up at me.

"Hahahahahaha, don't worry it will be fine"

"And why shouldn't I be worrying? We are literally heading right towards a potentially massive battlefield and there is a large chance that the cult knows we are coming, how can I not worry knowing something like that?"

"Because... I refuse to let anyone die as long as I can help it" this time when I spoke I said it in a way more serious tone then before.

I was going to make sure, if I could help it, that as many people survived this as possible. I myself wasn't really affected by death in any meaningful way but that isn't the same for my followers, however, I knew I couldn't just sacrifice myself to protect everyone, after all, it takes me some time to actually come back after death and in that time more people would have died with out me being there to help. However, I wasn't an idiot, I knew that I couldn't possibly protect them all but I was damn well going to try... I didn't want to have to bury my own people again.

"Anyway, let's talk about something less depressing shall we" I said while ignoring the strange yet sympathetic looks the two of them were giving me.

"How have Grey and his little group been treating you?" I asked while turning my attention back to Bels.

"Oh! They have been great to me, I could do with less of Elena's constant and frankly inappropriate flirting though, however, overall they have been great" she seemed to become a little shy while talking about this which made me smile a little in interest.

"I hear you and Grey are pretty close nowadays"

"W-w-what! Th-that's n-n-not true, I me-mean, oh god, I mean we are c-close but no-not like that" she yelled somewhat while turning bright red and looking away from me.

(Haha yes! Finally I'm not the only flustered idiot anymore) I thought while mentally pumping my fist into the air in celebration.

"If I'm remembering correctly, don't you also have someone that your rather close to Mistress? Milim was her name correct?" Fuyuko asked out of nowhere completely catching me by surprise while also getting Bels full attention.

"How the hell do you know about that!" I couldn't help the slight redness that had started to creep it's way on to my face.

"You talk in your sleep"

"Why the hell is everyone listening to me while I'm a sleep? First Mika and now you"

"It's not my fault, after all, you are rather loud, in fact the whole castle could probably hear you, makes me wonder what your dreaming about all the time" that made the little red that had started to appear on my face quickly grow like crazy.

"Nope! I'm out, I've had enough girl talk for tonight thank you very much" I said while quickly standing up and turning to leave the area before I became any redder then I already was.

"That's what you get for trying to tease me" Bels shouted after me.

"Oh shut up you" I yelled back at the now giggling Bels as I made my get away.
