Chapter 73 - 24 Another Meeting

"So... this is the ladys new project I have heard so much about?" Dai asked curiously as we all looked at the sight in front of us.

"Yep, that's right" an elf worker said as she turned to start walking over to us.

"Wow... they're growing much faster then I thought that they would be" Grey said in surprised.

We had already gotten something to eat and were all now currently standing in front of what I can only describe as a garden for monsters. The reason why we were here is because Ray got curious about this place when she found out about it and dragged us all over here with her.

The things we came to see were the plants that the lady had apparently made with her powers, I still found it fascinating that she could do stuff like this, anyway, they were large some what flower like plants that had black petals with bright fiery orange markings. Also, the petals themselves looked almost as if they were metallic making their edges look incredibly sharp. Next, wrapped around the stem of the plants were several dozen large black route like tendrils that were covered in dangerous looking dark grey thorns.

(Why does everything that is apart of the abyss look like it was made specifically to kill people?) I thought to myself while sweating ever so slightly.

I then watched curiously as a worker slowly approached one of the plants, also just to point out these plants were about 1.5 meters tall and were apparently called Abyssal death roses... so yeah, anyway, the worker then stood there for a second seeming to be waiting for something to happen. Soon after this one of the Rose's long tendrils reached out towards the worker until it was directly in front of them. Not even a second later did something star to happen, suddenly a golden some what orange coloured fruit rapidly grew from the end of it before dropping off into the workers hands who then placed it in a basket.

"Oh, you can put that over there big guy" the female elf said as she looked over at a massive stone creature that was carrying a large wooden crate. I was also later told that this creature was called an Abyssal magma golem.

"Oooo pretty" Ray said with stars in her eyes as she attempted to touch one of the Roses out of no were.

"Wait!" One of the workers, this time a human male shouted out in warning but he was too late. Suddenly, out of no where multiple of the Rose's tendrils lashed out and tried to grab Ray... only for them to go right through her instead.

"Hehehe, physical and magical attacks don't work on Wraiths silly, only spiritual attacks do" Ray said while giggling to herself happily.

"Ray, please stop pissing off the damn plant" Pinky growled in annoyances as he glared at here.

"Don't worry darling~ you can play with me instead~" Elena said with a ŀustful and frankly terrifying look in her eyes.

"Nooooooo" Ray yelled while running over to Dai and hiding behind his back.

"Why are you hiding behind me?! I don't want to get involve-"

"Hey idiots!" Someone yelled from behind us.

I turned around to see what looked like a stone statue, it wasn't that hard for me to figure out that it was a Gargoyle of some kind, this was mostly because of it's appearance that made it look rather intimidating. The Gargoyle stormed over to us looking incredibly annoyed about something.

"Captain Yama, what do you need?" Dai asked why taking a step forward.

"Get your fuċkɨnġ ȧsses over to the castle you bloody morons, the meeting will be starting any minute now. God damn it, why was I the one who had to come and get these idiots" he muttered the last part as he turned around and started heading back.

"Dont mind him to much, he is always like this to everyone he meets" Grey said when he saw me looking a little nervous.

"Shut the hell up already you grey bastard and hurry up before I drag your ȧss over there" I heard Yama yell in the distance.

(Alright then... let's go meet this mysterious lady I've heard about)

After that we all made our way back to the castle with Yama growling at us all the way there, it didn't take all that long for us to reach it because we weren't that far from it to begin with anyway. When we were finally inside the castle Yama lead us to a room while grumbling to himself about how all of this was beneath a great warrior like himself, sadly for me however, Grey and the others had to wait outside so I was a little nervous going in all by myself.

"Errm..."

Once inside I found myself looking at a rather odd and somewhat confusing sight. Inside of the room there were several strange beings that honestly made me question if I was dreaming or not, for a quick example, there was a Living armour that was covered in crackling red lightning, also there was an old man that was talking to what looked like a sentient teddy bear. There were also some people here that I had already met as well, even if I had only known them for a moment it was still nice to see familiar faces. However, my focus was not on them, no, it was fix on a young girl sitting at the head of the table who was talking with Fuyuko and Mika about something.

She was wearing a white cloak and had long white hair, she looked to be around 14 to 15 years old and had black eyes with white pupils. What I was so focused on was not her physical appearance or anything like that but instead something else, something that I found very hard to describe in normal words.

(What.... what is this?) I thought to myself as I looked at her in bewilderment.

As I looked at the surprisingly young looking girl I felt something odd, it wasn't romantic or anything like that but instead... it was like something was pulling me to her, as if something in the back of my mind was telling me that she was incredibly important but also very dangerous at the same time. I had never felt anything like this before today but for some strange reason, even though I had literally never met this person before in my life I just couldn't help feeling this dėsɨrė to trust and help her.

(What is this strange feeling?) I said while looking around the room to see if anyone else was feeling the same way as I was but everyone was just going about their business as normal.

(Wait, could... could that be it? No, well actually... no, it should be impossible for... for monsters to normall-) sadly I was unable to finish that thought because I was cut off when she turned to look at me.

============Suu pov===========

"Hey there, I'm Suu, Suu tempest, it's nice to meet you" I introduced myself while looking at the small fairy like girl in front of me.

"H-hey" the little thing said nervously as she shifted from side to side awkwardly.

"So your the Light spirit that I've been hearing about recently"

"Well errm... technically miss Suu, I'm a Greater light spirit" she quickly corrected me while still sounding a little out of place.

"Oh, well alright then, also you can drop the whole miss part as I don't really care about formalities that much. So yeah, you can just call me Suu, it's easier that way"

(I have enough people calling me, "my lady", "creator" and "mistress", I don't need some stranger I've never met before calling me something like that as well) I thought to myself with a some what frustrated sigh.

"Okay... Suu" she said cutely which made me smile at her.

"Why don't you take a seat so we can get started" I said while gesturing to a chair close to her that she could sit in.

"Hello" the light spirit greeted while getting several greetings back in return.

"Now that everyone is introduced let's get down to business shall we. Let me just start off by asking this, why exactly is the cult after you to begin with?" I asked as everyone looked towards the Light spirit.

"....They.... they are using us as batteries, if you want to put it that way" she shakily spoke after a moment.

"Batteries?" Kaen asked with an inquisitive look on his face.

"They have even more light spirits?" Mika asked as well.

"Batteries is the easiest way for me to describe it and yes, there is around ten to fifteen more like me that are being held prisoner by them"

"What do you mean by "they are using us as batteries"? Also, aren't light spirits supposed to be very rare, how did they even manage to capture so many of you to begin with?" I asked while tilting my head slightly to the side.

"From what I can tell they are after our magicules... they locked us in small cages and drained our magic constantly only stopping when we were close to death, they would then wait for us to recover fully before starting over again" she said with rage in her eyes.

"As for why they need the magicules of multiple Greater light spirits well... from what I have seen so far they are probably trying to break a magical seal of some kind and only our magic will work on it"

"Seal? What kind of seal? What does it look like" This it it was Gramps who asked.

"I don't know what kind of seal it is but as for what it looks like well, it's made up of hundreds of strange pure white symbols that seem to glow a golden colour every now and then. Also... whatever is trapped behind that seal is releasing an incredibly powerful demonic aura"

"Hmmm, interesting" Gramps said with his eyes closed.

"Well that is fuċkɨnġ ominous as hell now isn't it" Yama muttered.

"Come now Yama, there is no need to be scared" Rai said tauntingly.

"What did you just say to me you fuċkɨnġ bitch?"

(Here we go again) I thought as the two started arguing.

"You heard me you flying stone rat"

"Electrified bastard"

"Yes creator" both of them said incredibly quickly.

"Anyway, final question, how did you manage to escape from them?" I asked while turning my attention back to the light spirit

"I unlocked a skill called Magic draining nullification, it completely stop them from stealing my magicules, then once some of my strength had returned I broke free and attempted an escape. I... sigh, I tried to save the others but I wasn't strong enough, in fact the ones I managed to free were captured again trying desperately to buy time for me to escape" she spoke as she looked down in shame at her failure.

"Well at least they have a chance at rescue now" I said trying to reassure her.

"Thank you" she said with a small smile.

"No problem"

"Now, I think it's time we started moving forward with our plans on our next course of action, any objections?" I said while becoming a little more serious.

"No? Alright then, let's get started shall we"
