Chapter 503 - Should discuss first with Ryn

Name:Tell Me Again, My Love Author:Fifie
"Ryn," he choked out, feeling scared when all he could hear was her sigh.

"I don't know, J, I really don't know."

"Baby, why don't you have a nap to clear your mind?" he suggested desperately. He wanted her to be distracted from thinking about their problem until he found a way to solve this.

She grunted her agreement before they ended their conversation. He let out a huge sigh as he stared the phone.

He must do something to save their relationship.

His brows knitted together as he thought fast and hard. What should he do to save them?

"Jason," he called when he reached downstairs.

Jason who was in the middle of video chatting with Mika lifted up his head and looked at Jeremy. "Yes?"

"Is that Mika?" Jeremy asked with a frown.

"Of course," Jason replied with a huge grin. He even brought his phone so Mika could see Jeremy too.

"Aren't you going to work, big brother?" Mika asked. She was not wearing any of her usual outfit for work so Jeremy knew she still refused to go to work even though all the gowns were ready for the wedding.

"Are you?" Jeremy ċȯċked an eyebrow, asking her back.

"Jason baby~" Mika whɨnėd when she realized he was going to scold her. She already received approval from their father to have days off until the honeymoon after Jeremy told her to go to work a few days ago after she announced that she was done with the dresses. As someone who did not have any experience preparing for a wedding, he did not know there are more than dresses to prepare before the day. They haven't even checked the flowers and cakes. And her hen party. She still needed to remember to remind Ryn about it.

"Jeremy, you have already approved of her holiday that time," Jason reminded with a chuckle. He knew Jeremy would not hurt Mika. It was just a bit of harsh words but all were just empty words.

Jeremy ċȯċked an eyebrow. He was not afraid of Jason's admonishment. As the boss, he has the right to cut down how many days Mika could take days off.

"Jeremy," Jason narrowed his eyes dangerously. He would do anything for Mika, even if it meant he would need to argue with his own best friend.

Jeremy sighed as he rubbed his face. "Whatever. I don't care anymore."

Jeremy walked into the kitchen and looked for something to eat. Thanks to the maids, his kitchen was always full. There would be no problem when Ryn came and decided to cook meals for them.

Sigh.

Catherine, his sweet and lovely Catherine.

If only she was here instead of Jason. Maybe he could have a heart-to-heart conversation with Ryn and save their relationship.

"Just ignore him, babe. He's just having a rough day," Jason coaxed his fiancée. He continued giving encouragement and loving words to make Mika happy this morning. As Mika was busy with the other parts of wedding preparation, Jason did not want to distract her and decided only to meet during meals.

Of course, each time they met, he would make sure to make it special.

Anything for his love.

Jeremy, on the other hand, opened the refrigerator and looked inside. Even though his eyes were cataloguing the items in the refrigerator, his mind was actually on Ryn and their relationship.

He closed the refrigerator's door and straightened his body. He went to the cabinet and opened one of them.

And then he frowned.

He quickly opened the other compartments but could not find what he was looking for.

"Hey, have you seen the instant noodles?" he shouted at Jason.

"How do I know? This is not my place," Jason replied back. He was on his way to the balcony so not to have any disturbance from anyone while chatting with Mika. Even though he just told Jeremy that it was not his place, he actually behaved as if this was his place. It was not awkward for him to go anywhere in the house or use anything in it.

Jeremy closed the cabinets and went to the refrigerator back. He took out two eggs and paused. He took out another two eggs. He should feed Jason too.

He even made toast for the two of them.

When Jason returned back after chatting with Mika, Jeremy just made another pot of coffee and put the food on the dining table.

"Eat and then you can leave," Jeremy told Jason.

"You can't be kicking me out, can you?" Jason ċȯċked an eyebrow.

"Yes," Jeremy answered truthfully.

Jason almost sputtered in shock when Jeremy was not even hiding his motive. He shook his head instead and took his seat. He put the phone beside the table and looked at Jeremy who took the head of the seat.

"So, who were you talking with? Ryn?" Jason asked as he poured a cup of coffee for himself. He added sugar and cream to his preference and stirred the cup elegantly.

"You think?"

"Still not good?" Jason asked as he reached for the chilli sauce. He no longer looked at his best friend. His attention was fully on the food while the conversation was just to fill in the silence.

"Maybe…" Jeremy paused. He took a deep breath to calm down before looked at his best friend who was focused on eating. He licked his lips and took another sip of his coffee to calm down and gather his thoughts.

"So are you thinking about my suggestion?" Jason asked as he scooped his scrambled egg.

Jeremy just gave him a look.

Jason chuckled. He knew it. It seemed like Jeremy finally realized how important it was to lower down his ego and accepted the fact that he needed help.

"I'll set a session for you two. Will next week be okay?" Jason asked.

"Isn't it too close to your wedding?" Jeremy asked.

"Nah… as long as it's not the time for the departure to the wedding venue, it's not too fast," Jason shrugged. He was not worried at all because all the preparations were done by his family and Mika's.

Jeremy did not comment upon that. He was only in charge of music and apart from Ryn's practice, he was done with everything else. Hence, if Jason said it was okay, then he had nothing to argue about.

"But I think it's better for you to discuss this with Ryn first. I don't want to take her by surprise when she receives the appointment's date," Jason reminded.

"Ah…" Jeremy realized that Jason was right. He should break the news to Ryn first before they decide on the date. If the both of them suddenly tell Ryn about the appointment without giving her time to digest this first, it might become a reason for her to think that he was too controlling and did not give her any power to decide about their relationship. It could be a reason for her to ask for a second break-up. He definitely did not want to give her any reason to break up. Not again.

"I'll wait for you two to decide first whether to see the specialist or not before I set the time with the place," Jason said. He did not want to be accused of trying to come between the two lovers.

"Okay. I will call you after I talk with Ryn."

Jason nodded. He drank the last drops of coffee before he stood up. He then gathered his plate, cup and saucer to bring to the sink. He returned to gather the others, including what Jeremy used to the kitchen. He started to clean the dishes. As Jeremy prepared the meal, he decided to do the dishes.

Jeremy, on the other hand, went to get his ŀȧptop. Today, as he was angry at Ryn for 'kicking him out' several times, he had no mood to go to work. He took another day off but still told his personal ȧssistant, Jacob, to present reports to him via telephone. He set the 'temporary office' at the dining table.

While waiting for the computer to switch on, Jeremy scrolled today's news. He focussed on the economy, business and entertainment sections. Once the computer was on, instead of calling Jacob, he checked on the email first. He checked both his work and personal emails and noted down the important emails to check back later. He also took note of some emails to talk with Jacob, writing them down in his notebook.

Once he was done with the emails, he called Jacob.

It did not take long before his personal ȧssistant answer the call. He used one hand to hold the phone while another holding his pen. He planned to write down what they discussed today and what his agenda and plan were for work.

Jacob was already ready with the reports when Jeremy called him. Hence, when Jeremy called him, he greeted his boss politely before giving a brief introduction of what he would report today before he started the first report.
