Chapter 497 - It's late. You should go home.

Name:Tell Me Again, My Love Author:Fifie
They reached her home quite late. It was almost 9.00 pm when they arrived in the neighbourhood.

She, of course, slept on the way and he put on romantic music to accompany her in her slumber. He made sure to be as quiet as possible so not to disturb her sleep. Even the music was playing so soft, it was barely heard.

When the car came to a stop, he shut the engine off and let out a sigh of relief. Today was a long day. Of course, he was happy to be with her but as the night getting late, the exhaustion hit him hard.

He guessed he was getting older.

He turned to look at the Sleeping Beauty beside her and smiled. Growing old together with her would be his wish. He would do everything to be with her.

His hand reached for hers and kissed it gently. His eyes landed on her ring finger and wished he could put a ring on it. But his grandmother already warned him to follow the plan. In order to realize his dream, he must be patient.

And he was planning the perfect proposal event to make her remember for the rest of their life. And it would be perfect. He would make sure that she would remember that moment. She only deserved the best and he would deliver it to her.

Because she worth it.

He leaned forward and kissed her lips gently, carefully. She did not even stir when they were kissing lightly. When he pulled back, she did not even move or sigh, too deep in her slumber to notice his naughty act.

He grinned.

"Beautiful Princess, it's time to wake up," he whispered in between stealing kisses on her face. He did not get tired of kissing her. He loved kissing her... all of her.

She finally woke up and sighed as she blinked her eyes open.

"We've arrived. Do you want me to carry you?" he asked. He did not mind carrying her around. He loved doing it too.

"No need," she yawned. She rubbed her eyes and then shooed him to give some space was her to walk through.

"Good night, J. Bye," she murmured.

He paused on his way to close the door and followed her when he heard her words. Goodbye? "Ryn?"

She stopped and turned around to look at him calmly. "Yes?"

"Goodbye?"

"Err... yes. You've sent me home. It's late. So you should go home," she explained rather seriously.

"I thought I'm going to stay the night here?" he asked rather uncertainly. Was she kicking him out of the house after their dinner?

"It's... late?" she gave him a puzzled look. It was already late at night. Their dinner ended later than she thought it would be. And she was exhausted.

The tidying up plan tonight? She already cancelled that idea the moment she got into the car when they returned from the restaurant. She was too exhausted and sleepy to do any housework. She just wanted to lie down on her bed and sleep for the rest of the night.

"Love," he sighed heavily.

She returned and pulled his head lower so she could kiss his lips. "Good night. Call me when you've reached home."

"Ryn..." he choke out but she was already at the door, unlocking it by pressing the password. Instead of returning back to the car and going home like she asked him to, he went to her. He put a hand to block the door from closing and stepped into the house.

"J?" She frowned.

"I'm staying here tonight," he announced.

She was speechless. Didn't he just tell her during dinner that he would make her happy? Heven promised to respect her decision.

And now he just told her... No. He actually decided not to honor his own promise.

"I will help you arranging your things," he announced. He went to the kitchen and reached for two glasses. He poured water into both glasses and handed one to her.

"You go have a bath while I start working," he said after she finished the glass of water.

He took the glass from her hand and put it under the running water. Then, he put both glasses away. When he turned around, she was nowhere to be seen.

He sighed. Not a word from her before she went to her room. Well at least she did not kick him out of the room, he coaxed himself. He should be glad for that.

He shrugged it off and went to the first box lying around the living room. He used his car key to open the box and looked into it.

He paused when he saw what was inside.

All sort of cute little figurines.

"Ryn's?" He did not think his girlfriend would own this kind of thing. The only person who actually liked this kind of thing would be Mika and...

"Mika..." he murmured. He did not thinking his mother would buy things that she knew Ryn did not like. The only person who would still buy things like this would only be his little sister.

He pushed the box aside and took another box. He again used his car key to open the brown box. This time he knew the items inside belonged to Ryn. Well, actually it belonged to her parents'.

He brought them to the cabinet and frowned. He should lay down the flowery embroided cloth first, right? He saw How her mother decorated the house before and those clothes were on almost all the surface in the house.

He should do the same... right?

But he should also asked how Ryn wanted to decorate this house... right?

He stood in front of the drawers, deep in his thought.

In the end, he decidd to tidy up the closet.

In her old place, she used all kind of hangers to hang her clothes but this time around, Mika managed to persuade her to use only one style for the hanger. After much thinking and discussing, they decided to use all plastic hanger in the colour of black and all in one style. Her old hangers were sent to the orphaned house.

First, he opened the door of the closet. Then, he looked at the sections before he saw a piece of paper lying on the floor. With a frown, he picked it up and saw that it was a floor plan for the room. In there was full of information detailing of what Ryn plan for the room.

He used a hanger to hang the plan so that he did not have to bend down to check on the plan. He quickly unboxed the clothes and hang them according to the plan.

It took him several hours before he was done. He stetched his arms and back with a loud yawn. What time was it now? He was exhausted!

He went to the kitchen to wet his throat again. There, he looked around the kitchen. He smiled, picturing her wearig an apron busy cooking meals in this kitchen. She would tie her hair up in a ponytail or in a bun. She might even push her hair back with the hairband. And the first thing she would reach would be the refrigerator for the steaks. He grinned at the thought.

Which woman would buy another refrigerator or a freezer just to keep steaks in it? Nothing else but all kind of beef cuts for steaks.

Only his woman would do that.

And he had nothng to complain. He did not mind at all.

He drank two glasses of water, washed the glass and then put it aside. Once he made sure he put all the lights out except for the night light, he went to the bedroom.

Correction,

He went straigh to her bedroom, planning to sleep with her. He would not do anything but embracing her, knowing how tired she was.

He stretched his arms and cracked his neck. Then, he reached the knob and turned it to open the door.

He frowned.

The frown went deeper.

Finally, after almost three minutes, he stopped and pulled his hand back from the knob.

He leaned forward until his right ear pressed to the cold wooden door.

Nothing. He could hear nothing.

He tried again but it did not work.

She locked the door.
