Chapter 483 - Why tomorrow?

Name:Tell Me Again, My Love Author:Fifie
Ryn dropped her upper body over the box and felt like weeping. She was beyond exhausted.

It has been an hour or two after Mei Li dropped her off at her place. Once she reached her home, after a glass of water, she quickly changed into the most comfortable shorts and spaghetti top and attacked her things.

She needed to pack her belonging before the moving company arrived tomorrow.

Why oh why she chose tomorrow to move? Why not next week, next month, or next year? Why tomorrow?

Her eyes looked at the items scattering all over the place and then at the boxes. She only managed to pack two boxes. There were so many things to pack.

She sighed. Who on earth the one decided tomorrow would be perfect to move house? Oh, yes. It was her. She was the stupid person. Hmph...

She took the marker and wrote 'bedroom' on top and at the side of the box. And then, she actually crawled to another empty box and started to fill it with things.

She paused to sip coffee to wake her up before continued working. Her hands never stopped moving even though she was longing for her bed desperately.

The clock showed that it was already 3 in the morning when she stumbled to her bed. She did not even bother to pull the blanket, just lie on it and dozed off.

Her phone rang several hours later. She g.r.o.a.n.e.d and grumbled under her breath, trying her hardest to ignore the call.

It took more than ten minutes of being insistent from the other person before Ryn finally gave in and answered the call. And she did not even put it to her ear but simply pressed the loudspeaker button.

"Hello?" her voice was heavy with sleepiness. It was to be expected when she only slept for less than four hours.

"Ryn, are you still sleeping? Today is the day you're moving, right?" Mika's cheerful voice filled the room.

Ryn frowned. In her drowsiness, her brain was slow to digest what she was hearing. She hmmed and oohed but she had no idea what she was agreeing to.

"Ryn, are you there? Wake up," Mika cried when she realized something was wrong. Why wouldn't Ryn reply other than her hmm and oh? Was she still sleeping?

Ryn just snored. She fell asleep again while listening to Mika's voice. She was too exhausted to care.

Mika called again and again but there was no answer.

She stared at the wall blankly, trying to remember what she was supposed to do today.

And then she heard something.

She quickly jumped to her feet and rushed out, only to see a few men busy picking up boxes.

"You're up?" Jeremy asked when he saw her staring blankly at the company's men. Seeing how confused Ryn was, he assumed his girlfriend already forgot about this. Heck, he almost forgot to until Mika asked him to help Ryn first while she went to get breakfast.

Luckily he has a spare key for this house. As he was unlocking the door, Mei Li arrived with packets of food and drink. Apparently, she already promised Ryn that she would help during the moving too. Right now, Mei Li was busy watching downstairs as the men moved the furnitures and boxes into the lorry.

"Go and wash your face first. Then, have some bread fritters and soy drink," Jeremy told her gently. He turned her around and urged her to the bathroom to freshen up.

"Ah..." she nodded dumbly and let him lead her into the bathroom. She closed the door and zoned out again.

"Wash your face to wake you up," Jeremy reminded when he did not hear water being freed from the faucet. Has she fallen asleep in the bathroom?

Ryn snapped when she heard his voice. She patted her face, telling her brain to start working. And then, she went to sit on the toilet bowl and peed absentmindedly.

"Ah, I'm moving today," she cried loudly, finally remembered what she was supposed to do today.

Jeremy who was standing outside chuckled when he heard her words. He was right. This adorable girlfriend of his really forgot about their plan for today. He shook his head and went to grab a towel for her. He knocked on the door and told her to open it slightly to give the towel to her. And then, he went back to the front, not forgetting to close the door of her bedroom tightly. He did not want any of those men to see her when she was still not ready to be in front of them.

He continued observing the men, making sure they took the right furniture and boxes. He knew not all would follow Ryn to her new place. Some would be donated and sold.

Luckily he already knew which one to be left for later and which one to be brought. His Ryn even noted it on the boxes.

"We're here," Mika announced with Jason behind her waving his hand as a greeting.

"Ryn just wakes up. Bring the food at the counter," Jeremy pointed at the kitchen. He did not need his little sister to be here and ruin the momentum of the workers. She could disturb them by giving different orders at a whim.

"I knew it. She forgets what today is about," Mika rubbed her hands gleefully after she handed her bag to her fiancee. She then skipped into the bedroom, preparing to tease her best friend

How could Ryn even forget about the moving when she was the one who picked today? So funny.

Ryn was staring at her empty closet blankly when Mika came in. She turned and lifted her hand in a wave to greet her.

"Ryn, why are you still in dazed?" Mika giggled as she hugged Ryn.

"Hmm?" Ryn was not in a daze actually. Her mind was thinking about her recording tonight and she already packed her clothes into the box except for what she would wear right now. What should she do? She could not simply go in front and ask the men to retrieve back the boxes just so she could choose a suitable outfit to wear tonight.

She was worried actually.

"You... Why are you still not ready? Your house is almost empty and you're hiding here," Mika blinked her eyes cutely.

"I have a recording tonight," Ryn finally murmured. She guessed it was no used fretting over this alone. Maybe Mika could help to suggest a solution for her.

"Ah... That day thing?" Mika asked. She remembered that she went to the studio on behalf of Ryn when her best friend had to work outside the country. It was a new experience for her but nevertheless, she enjoyed every minute of it. "Do you want me to accompany you?"

"I packed all my clothes and forgot to leave one for tonight," Ryn said with her brows knitted together.

"That's..." Mika was speechless. She thought it was a difficult problem. If it was about clothes, Ryn came to the right person. She was after all a fashion designer and her eyes were perfect for fashion.

"I guess I need to quickly unpack the boxes so I can iron it before going to the recording." Ryn did not even notice the amus.e.m.e.nt in Mika's eyes. She was too worried about tonight's outfit.

Luckily Mei Li was not here or she would have to listen to her manager's nagging for making such a stupid mistake. But for her defense, she was exhausted and sleepy last night. She could not think further than to quickly finish packing and then go to sleep.

"Ryn, don't worry. I am here," Mika patted her c.h.e.s.t proudly. She even stuck her chin up to show how confident she was. Nothing would go wrong as long as she was here to help.

"Oh?"

"Have you forgotten who I am?" Mika asked.

"Ah... Ohhh..." Ryn scratched her head in ashamed. She did forget that if she needed help with clothes or anything related to fashion, Mika was the right person. Who else knew more about fashion that Mika?

"Don't worry. You just leave everything to me," Mika patted her c.h.e.s.t again.

"Thank you, Mika. I owe you."

"What owe-owe? We're best friends and sisters. I am happy to help you," Mika pinched Ryn's cheek playfully.

"Anyway, thank you." Ryn was glad to have Mika as her best friend. Despite their differences in identity, behavior, taste and in so many things, Mika never make her feel self-conscious about her identity.

"You should quickly get ready before it's empty outside," Mika urged Ryn. She even helped Ryn with her hair while Ryn packed the rest of the items on the dressing table into a bag.

"Thanks, Mika."

"No worry. Jason and I brought food for everyone. Let's hurry before the men finish everything."

At the mention of food, Ryn gasped and hurriedly went out. She hasn't had her breakfast yet and so hungry.
