Chapter 456 - A childish him

Name:Tell Me Again, My Love Author:Fifie
Jeremy and Ryn walked hand in hand to his car. It was almost 8.00 pm when they were done with the recording. Jeremy even ordered two large pizza for them to snack on while working.

"Are you tired?" He asked once they got into the car. He started the engine and waited until she sat comfortably on her chair before drive the car away.

"Hmm..." she nodded.

"What time is the show tomorrow?" He asked. His eyes were on the road, carefully driving the car toward her place. He knew she needed to pack her things for tomorrow's flight. Of course, as he was with her, he would coax her to return to his place to sleep. He would send her to her work tomorrow before went to the orphanage to check their practice.

The kids were already chosen and from what he has seen, they were talented and had the high chance to be successful if they put their all into this. But of course, he and the rest would prefer the kids to focus on their study first and treat this as a way to gain experience and a little bit of money. In another week or so, he would bring Ryn to practice with them. It was important for them to practice together so to get used with each others.

"You sleep first. I'll wake you up once we've arrived," he told her gently when she kept yawning in just ten minutes.

She nodded and closed her eyes drowsily. Even without him telling her that, she would still have her nap right now. She could not hold her sleepiness anymore.

He smiled when he saw her really sleeping. He tightened his hold on the steering wheel. He was not rushing at all to reach her place. It would not make sense for her nap to cut too short just because he wanted to reach her place as quickly as possible. Let her have these several minutes of sleep to rest her body and mind.

"Good morning, love," he greeted as he wrapped his arms around her waist, interupting her concentration of making breakfast for both of them.

"Morning. Make the coffee, please," she told him, pushing his hands from her waist so she could move freely.

"Good morning kiss?" He requested. His boyish face looked at her pleadingly but she did not even look at him. Her attention was on the food in the pot.

"Mei Li will come around 10.15 am so you can go to work today," she said as she checked the Yorkshire pudding she was baking in the oven.

"But... I plan to send you to work today," he grumbled. He was hurt when she refused the good morning kiss and now it seemed like his presence was not important in her eyes. Was she giving him a cold shoulder just because he insisted that she slept at his place last night?

"No need. Mei Li will help with sending me to the airport too," Ryn said as she turned off the stove. She woke up early today so she decided to make a mixture of western and easten food for breakfast. For the leftover, she would put into the refrigerator and he could reheat back for dinner.

She already planned what she would be doing today and even decided for his dinner. Knowing him, he might forget about his meal once he returned from work. Or maybe he would just drink a glass of water and treated it as his dinner.

Sigh. Sometimes she wondered how he survived without her.

"Have I done something wrong?"

His sudden question made her freeze. The pause was just a few seconds. She turned to look at him, still holding the spatula to retrieve the scrambled eggs. She blinked her eyes.

Why would he say that?

"Excuse me?"

"You're avoiding me," he accused.

"Avoiding you?" She echoed, her voice full with confusion.

He stepped forward and hugged her. His chin rested on her left shoulder. "You don't want to kiss me good morning."

Her jaw dropped. The reason was too... absurb. When did he become so silly?

"I didn't. If I was, I won't ever bother speaking with you but I did, right?" She pointed it out.

"Good morning kiss," he demanded and quickly pressed their lips together for his good morning kiss.

He smiled boyishly once he got his kiss. He dropped another kiss on top of her head before went to do what she asked earlier; brewing the coffee.

She facepalmed. Why was he being so childish early in the morning? Didn't he see how busy she was preparing for their breakfast?

"Silly," she murmured, shaking her head in bemused. She continued with her cooking, plating the scrambled eggs as well as scooping the curry. She checked the rice in the rice cooker and nodded her approval when it was done. Just right on time. Only the pudding was still not ready. No matter. She would pack them for his snack.

She brought the food to the dining table. She already arranged for the cutleries and a jug of cold water. A glass for the water and a cup with a saucer for the coffee.

He was at the table but he was looking at his iPad. She frowned but she did not ask him. It must be about work.

She checked the time. If he started to eat now, he would not be late for work.

She waited for a minute or two but when it seemed like he would not stop, she took the iPad and c.o.c.ked an eyebrow when he looked at her in shock.

"Have breakfast first then you can go to work," she told him firmly.

He looked at the table and realized everything was ready. He shrugged and reached for his bowl of rice.

She smiled and started eating too. They spent their breakfast eating without another word in between.

If Mika was there, she would surely complain that they're behaving like old couple again.

They worked together washing the dishes. Then, he went upstairs to get ready for work, even bringing his iPad along. She went to the living room. Instead of watching the television, she just sat on the couch and sighed.

"Are you sure you don't want me to send you to work?" He asked for the tenth time. He was standing at the living room, facing her who was still sitting on the couch.

"Yes. You should go now or Jacob will be fretting in the office," she replied.

He gave her a sad look again. He was hoping she would change her mind and ask him to accompany her. But she did not, unfortunately.

She stood up and hugged him. It was the only way she could think of to appease him. Silently she wondered why he was being so clingy today. He was not like this usually.

After a hug and two kisses, he finally was willing to leave. She let out a heavy sigh. It felt exhausted today with his sudden clinging behavior.

Ryn smiled as she waited for her turn. Once she received the signal, she started to walk along the runway. As the route was not straight like usual and they walked in two, Ryn needed to rember which route she needed to use.

Once she returned to the back stage, she rushed to change into another dress as one of the hairstylists quickly changed a little bit of her hairstyle to suit the dress. Even the makeup artist was waiting for her to be done with the dress to reapply the lipstick and making sure the makeup was still good. It was a mess but a good mess in her mind.

"What time is it now?" She asked as she sipped her drink. She was finally done with four dresses and she was exhausted. Relieved but tired. Try walking in high heels so confidentally and gracefully on the runway but running like a runner in a sports competition at the backstage. Her feet were killing her too.

"Almost 3?" One of the models replied. She was actually checking her phone so it was easy for her to answer Ryn's question.

"3?" Ryn's eyes widened. Oh no, Mei Li must be waiting for her outside. Instead of waiting here, Mei Li decided to go back to the office to finish some of the works while waiting for her to be done and would come pick her up once she was done. But as she was too busy strutting her stuff on the runway and her bad habit of silencing her phone in her bag, she lost the time. "I need to go now."

"You're not going to the celebrating party?" The same model asked.

"I'm sorry. Tell them I'm sorry. I have to rush to the airport," Ryn said. She reached her bag and took out her phone. Just as she thought, she has so many miscalls and messages from both Mei Li and Mika. Uh oh...

She put on her shoes and rushed to the door.

The model shook her head seeing Ryn rushing. It was funny seeing her acting this way. Then, she turned back her attention to her phone, chatting with her fans.
