Chapter 568 - Do we have enough time?

Ryn just smiled and waved her hand when Mika dropped her off at her house. They did not manage to have the discussion or in Mika's mind, to make Ryn agree to do her practical training at the company with Mika. 

She shook her head in bemused. Mika must be sulking right now because of her failure to persuade Ryn to change her mind.

She entered her house and looked around. Although it looked so lonely standing here alone in such a bug house, she felt fulfilled. Her years of working hard paid off and she finally has a house to call her own. She locked the house and dropped the keys into the small bowl on the cabinet near to the door. Then, after she wore the house slippers, she headed straight into her bedroom. She was so full and now all she could think of was to have a couple of hours nap.

However, right before her body entered tge bedroom, she stopped and winced. 

She forgot to pack her bag!

She quickly turn and went into the closet. She grabbed a backpack and started to pack a couple of basic clothes as well as backup heels. She also refilled her shower soap and a few necessities that she always carried whenever she travelled, regardless of whether it was in the country or outside. Of course, she also checked whether the clothes she brought suitable for the season of the location she was going to.

Once she was done packing, she let out a sigh and brought the bag to the living room, along with a cap and a sweater she always wore whenever she went travelling. She put them on the sofa and went back to the bedroom.

Now, she was ready for her nap and hopefully, nothing and no one interupted her from having her rest.

It was the ringing of the phone that woke her up from her nap. At first, she was going to ignore it but luckily her brain managed to work rather quickly, in just seconds, as she remembered what she was going to do tonight. She quickly reached for her ringing phone and sighed to see Mei Li's name. Has she arrived? Ryn wasn't ready yet to leave for the airport! She just woke up.

"Hello. Are you here?" Ryn asked. Her husky voice became the clear evidence that she just woke up.

"I'm almost there," Mei Li replied. She was not shocked at all to know her model was sleeping. In fact, she expected Ryn to do just that. The Sleeping Beauty would not miss any chance of sleeping whenever she could.

"Okay. I will get ready," Ryn was relieved. She said her goodbye and quickly grabbed a towel to go to the bathroom. A hot shower could wake her up and make her refreshed... well, just a bit. She had no doubt she would still be sleepy when she reached the airport.

She had a quick shower and in just fifteen minutes, she was already in her red Mickey shirt and jeans. She tied the sweater's long sleeves around her waist. Her hair was pulled into a low ponytail and a cap covered her head. She put her sunglasses in a box into the backpack and zipped it. She checked for the last time that everything way there, including her passport, let out a sigh and closed her eyes, sprawling on the sofa.

Man, she was still exhausted.

"Are you ready? Let's go," Mei Li said.

Instead of answering, Ryn turned to walk to the kitchen. She took off her cap, turned the faucet and wet her face. She shivered at the cold water but at least the coldness could wake her up. Then, she filled a glass with water and drank it slowly. She quickly let it under running water for several seconds before wiped it dry with a cloth. She kept the glass back to its place and went to get her backpack. She was about to go to Mei Li but paused. She turned and walked back to the kitchen to retrieve the cap she left at the counter. She almost forgot about the cap.

Mei Li just smiled when she saw Ryn walked to the kitchen twice. She opened the door wider to give space for Ryn to walk through. Then, she took the bag from the model and left Ryn to lock the door while she put the bag at the passenger's seat at the back.

"Are you ready?" She asked Ryn when the younger woman entered the car. Mei Li was already sitting on her seat at the driver's side. 

"Yeah. Let's go," Ryn nodded. She pulled the safety belt and once she was done, only then did Mika change into drive gear and let the car moved forward smoothly.

"For tomorrow, you will have to change into ten outfits," Mei Li announced.

"Ten? Do we have enough time?" Ryn asked with a frown. Another reason for the beach photoshoot was to make use of the sun touching the water. They have to estimate the time for each shooting and also time to change into the said outfit, the hair and makeup as well as the time taken from and to the beach for everytime Ryn needed to change into the next one. 

"Well, that was what the ȧssistant told me. I still have no idea what kind of beach wear you will have to wear but I guess they have confidence in you to take fewer time for each shoot," Mei Li shrugged. She was actually 50-50. She did not think it will work but at the same time, she also thought that if Ryn could maintain her one-take shoot, they might have enough time for all ten outfits. And another factor would be the changing place close to where they were going to photoshoot.

Ryn pursed her lips but no longer comment about it. She has to see it tomorrow to know and plan what to do in order to finish shooting all the outfits within the time frame. She needed to see the distance between her changing room to where they were going to shoot and whether there was a shortcut to and from. How much time needed for each trip.

"Don't worry. Everything will work out perfectly," Mei Li encouraged. She did not want to pour cold water to Ryn's mood but she needed to break the news so that Ryn would not be surprised tomorrow.

Ryn sighed. Anything depends to tomorrow. She could not imagine what would happen and how to fix if something went wrong.

They continued the journey to the airport quietly. Mei Li nor Ryn even switched on the radio. They were thinking about tomorro's work and what might happen. 

Soon enough, they reached the airport. Mei Li quickly parked the car and together with Ryn and their luggages, they walked into the building. Ryn handed her passport to her manager and waited for Mei Li to check in. Only Mei Li handed her bag to be kept in the space where the luggages kept in the 'stomach' of the plane while Ryn just carried her backpack. She would put it into the compartment over her seat in the plane. 

Like usual, the flight was delayed. Ryn and Mei Li rolled their eyes and went to wait at a restaurant.. Might as well fueling their stomach while waiting for their flight.
