344 Receiving a lot of meat restaurant offers from the episode

"Wake up, Sleeping Beauty," he whispered, their lips still touching each other.

She frowned but did not open her eyes.

"Hmm… I know you still want to sleep. But you have to wake up, love. We've arrived," he whispered in between placing kisses against her lips gently.

"Hmm…" Ryn finally stirred. She blinked her eyes sleepily and once she realized the familiar face so close to her, a smile unconsciously spread on her face and she sighed a bit.

"Good morning," he teased with a pinch on her nose. He pulled back from her and let her woke up properly, smiling all the time.

"Where are we?" she asked, looking around while rubbing her eyes.

"We've arrived," he told her gently. 

"Hmm…" she blinked her eyes with a yawn. Still sleepy!

"Come on. Let's go to the office. The faster we go and you have your discussion, the faster we can return home and you can sleep," he coaxed, rubbing her head gently.

He got out of the car and went to her side to help her to get back to her feet. She adjusted the backpack on her shoulders and followed behind Jeremy. As they, well, it was Ryn alone, still not ready to reveal their relationship to the world, they did not hold hands in the public. They would treat each other as friends in front of other people… until Ryn was ready.

Jeremy pulled the door to open and waited until Ryn walked through it before he entered the premise. He took off his sunglasses and smiled at the receptionists.

"Hello," he greeted.

"Hello," the women at the counter greeted back, almost swooning seeing how handsome Jeremy was today. Of course, they wanted why he came today. Was it because of Miss Catherine, or he has a new project to discuss with their boss? But the questions did not stop them from enjoying the sight of Jeremy right in front of them. So handsome!

"Hello, girls. Is Mei Li here?" Ryn asked cheerfully but it was clear she just woke up. She made a beeline toward the bathroom to wash her face.

"She's upstairs," one of the receptionists replied.

"I'll go first. You can go…" Ryn paused, "… to the office?"

"Call or send me a message when you're done," he told her and waved at the receptionists, "Bye, girls."

"Bye~" the receptionists waved quickly, their eyes sparkled brightly. In their excitement, they forgot to steal the chance of taking a picture with him. However, they thought to themselves, with Ryn still unable to drive the car, there was a humongous chance for them to meet Jeremy again.

Ryn did not wait until Jeremy left. She instead went upstairs to meet her manager. Along the way, she greeted others cheerfully while holding her sleepiness desperately. No one knew how sleepy she was, however, as she put on a cheerful expression on her face with wide bright eyes. If Jeremy saw her face right now, he would be chuckling while rubbing her head in amused.

She did not even have to knock the door. Mei Li was actually standing at the door talking with another colleague of hers.

"Ryn, you're here," Mei Li cried as she hurriedly pulled Ryn into her room after excusing herself at her colleague.

"Hmm…" Ryn did not speak much. She allowed herself to be brought into the room, only to see Harry sitting on the couch, playing with his phone. "Harry?"

Harry lifted his head and smiled. He stood up and wanted to pull her into his arms but he managed to control himself. He just stood right in front of her and said, "Hey."

"Hey back," she replied, frowning, "Am I interrupting you two?"

"No. He's already done with his discussion," Mei Li answered. She went to get her planner and files.

"Oh… so…?" Ryn gave Harry a puzzled look. If he was already done with his discussion, why would he still be here? Was he waiting for someone?

"Anyway, these are the projects you're going to do in these two months," Mei Li quickly pulled Ryn's attention toward the work. She handed a pile of files for Ryn to peruse. Those were contracts which half was already signed by Ryn and another half needed her signature.

"You've clear the days for my project?" Ryn asked absent-mindedly as she re-read the contract. She also checked it to her own calendar so they were matched and she would not miss anything.

"Yes, I have," Mei Li nodded. It would be several more days before the launching and she knew Ryn wanted some time for preparation. It was after all her own product. She needed to get involved, well, at least showed commitment to the project.

"Your pay for the past projects have been banked into your account," Mei Li said.

"Hmm… I've received the notification," Ryn murmured as she looked at another file.

Harry watched as Ryn and Mei Li discussed her schedule. He gulped when he heard some of the brands that wanted Ryn to join them. The brands did not even do an audition to choose the model. They chose her and even threw in so many advantages for Ryn to get her acceptance.

"Oh yes, before I forgot," Mei Li looked into the piles of files before found a file she had been looking for. "The show wanted you again."

"Show? What show?" Ryn frowned as she read the file. It was a contract with the show 'A Day In My Busy Life', "I thought mine was boring."

"The producer said your episode receives so many comments especially about your meat-eating habit," Mei Li looked at Ryn disapprovingly, "Why can't you… just for one day… act like a normal model?"

"What do you mean?" Ryn asked her back.

"For example your food preference and the amount you eat red meat," Mei Li answered.

"I thought the show wants a real-life, not acting," Ryn pointed out.

"Well… of course it wants a real you, of showing whatever you really do in your day but… but…" Mei Li did not know how to express her thought so Ryn could understand. But then again, Ryn would not fake herself for something else. She would do what she thought was right and eating meat was the correct way of eating in her opinion. "Didn't Miss Mika say anything after the studio recording day?"

"No, she didn't say anything," Ryn shook her head. In fact, she already forgot about the show because she was too busy with her work. She did not even check the response from the viewers about her episode, just focussing on her jobs.

"Well, congratulations. Your episode was the second-highest rating and viewers want to know more about you," Mei Li knew why Ryn received so much attention from the viewers. She was being herself without care how people look at her. She did not even remember to take care of her image, especially when eating.

The good thing came out from it, apart from more people noticing Ryn as a model, food brands kept sending offers for Ryn to be in their advertisements. She had a hard time trying to eliminate those that she knew Ryn would not be interested in. But for the meat restaurant… it was harder than she thought. Hence, she gathered those offers and handed it to Ryn to choose by herself. Ryn knew best what she wanted.

"How many companies are there for meat advertisement?" Ryn asked as she counted the files. The cover page full with the name of the company and what type of cooperation the company wished to have with Ryn.

"Five, thanks to that episode."

"Do I get more meat?" Ryn asked happily, thinking of free lunches and dinners she would enjoy.

Mei Li cocked an eyebrow. She just told off Ryn about her meat intake but all Ryn could think about when she saw the proposals was about free food. Can't Ryn control herself just for once when facing food? Just once.

"Oh, this one suggests for a duo," Ryn said when she read the second file.

"Oh yes. I almost forgot about that. That restaurant wishes to have both you and Harry to act in the advertisement after seeing your chemistry in that episode," Mei Li explained.

"Me too?" Harry pointed at himself. He did not even bother to pretend he did not listen to their conversation. His eyes shone at the thought of working with Ryn. He loved it already.
