Chapter 185 - ELEGANT BAI SISTERS {II}

Xueyan's car pulled to a stop inside the Xings Grand Hotel underground parking lot.

Mei Han had directed the driver to do so, to avoid the hungry press outside.

They used the elevator and arrived at the room ȧssigned to them.

Each actor and actress were given a room in the hotel, in case they had any emergency and had to change.

They got to the room and entered with the two hair stylist.

Mei Han rushed to go change into the white floral cheongsam. They helped style her hair, and applied minimal makeup on her. 

She stood up then told the girls to retouch Xueyan's makeup.

Xueyan frowned at the idea, her face was itching already. Why add more?

"No, it's fine." 

Mei Han shook her head. "Xueyan, I have received a lot of lectures on your behalf today from the chairman. No actually, he was reprimanding me for letting you do as you please. He had said, he kept quiet because he thought I had everything in control but he will have to change me if you continue to act up." 

Xueyan was surprised. She never knew the chairman paid attention to her.

"What were you expecting? You're an actress under All Stars Media. One of the biggest entertainment company in the country. You should follow the rules and regulations..." Mei Han then motioned for the girls to go on. "So please, don't get me in more troubles."

Xueyan made faces at Mei Han while the latter averted her gaze.

Fleet of cars made a stop outside of The Xings Grand Hotel, the hungry press rushed forward trying to get the best picture of the celebrities.

It was chaotic, as the guards created a human barrier against the press and some fans that had come to see their idols.

Meanwhile inside the big hall, illuminated with golden lights, at a corner was Du Xiujun.

His hands were in his pockets, he had arrived earlier to avoid the press and fans and thankfully, they still didn't have an idea of him being inside.

Xiujun was clad in a black and white strip suit and pant, a white shirt with silvery buŧŧons, and white shoes.

While the woman, was dressed in a wine colored suit and pant, she wore a wine colored lace lingerie inside. A pair of wine stilettos shoes to match. She smiled as people passed by them, bowing as well.

She nudged Du Xiujun's shoulder, and glared at him when he turned to give her a questioning look.

"We didn't arrive early for you to make a fool of me," she whispered, not wanting to draw attention to them.

"You shouldn't have come then," he said out aloud. 

Thankfully there was a soprano playing, so his voice disappeared with the wind.

She glared more at him. "What is it?"

Du Xiujun collected a champagne glass from a waiter passing by, he downed it and smiled. "It has a unique taste." He smiled again at the woman.

She snatched the glass away from him. "Don't get drunk, you shouldn't mess up this night."

"Why? Because of that old man?"

The woman blocked him. "We're not alone, watch what you say."

"Not like I care," with that said, he strode away. The woman could only sigh as she watched him leave her sight.

The Chairman walked up to her then bowed. "Madam Anhao, long time no see. How have you been?"

Madam Anhao flashed him a light smile then replied. "It has been really long. I've been doing quite alright, how about you?"

The Chairman continued to smile. "Fine fine. Are you here alone?" If she was here alone, that means the president might come later. His coming would be under a probability, since she was here already. They were always together, because she was his secretary. He knew there was more to those two older people but no one dared voice it. 

It was either you were ready to leave your job or disappear.

"The President sent me on his stead,"

The last word made the Chairman cheer in his head. "Oh, that's sad. We would have loved the president's presence."

She smiled bitterly. "He's not in the country for now."

Not like he ever was. The Chairman said in his mind. He only comes around if he wants to trouble the employees of All Stars Media or Du Xiujun. "Okay, I'll leave you then. I still have to get everything in order."

"Sure go ahead," she was alone once again. Her eyes wandered about in search of Xiujun. Where's he?

She raised her hand up to look at her watch. The start of the premier was just an hour away, but she doesn't want to get in trouble finding Xiujun.

If he in anyway acted up, the president wouldn't spare them both. 

More artists from All Stars arrived for the premier but Xiujun hadn't returned, she became worried.

She went to stand by the door to look out, maybe she would sight him, a black FW2200 crawled to a stop and a guard rushed to open the car door.

A very beautiful young lady in wine dress stepped down, the woman's eyes widened, it enlarged more when her companion stepped down from the other side.

"Bai Yuxi," Madam Anhao mumbled. I heard the two sisters were so alike, so it's true. "Those girls are sure beautiful, why wouldn't Xiujun pick interest in any of them." She imagined Xiujun falling for Yuxi, it would be a great fight between him and Qiangshen. But that young man was so cunning, she sometimes wondered if he ever got aroused. 

She thought back to the first time she had met Xueyan, the girl's beauty had struck her but she had been so worried about the drama. Then her courage when she pushed the counterfeited contract papers back to her. She remembered cursing at her, but now she realized Xueyan wasn't so bad.

She knew every employee at All Stars Media, so that was why she could easily recognize Bai Yuxi as Xing Qiangshen's ȧssistant

Bai Xueyan was given that privilege too because of Du Xiujun.

They were one lucky girls. She sighed and went back in search of Du Xiujun.

Qiangshen and Yuxi had gone over to the company first before heading to the hotel.

She waited for him to take the first step, before she followed up behind him.

Yuxi's eyes wandered about to find her sister and she prayed they weren't running late. All the ȧssistants had been reprimanded harshly to take extra care of the artists under them and be more serious.

Even the managers weren't spared. She quickly took out her phone to call Mei Han and discovered that they have arrived some minutes ago and was in the room ȧssigned to them.

She heaved a sigh of relief and smiled immediately at an artist that walked up to them.

Yuxi already understood the way of artists so she no longer hid away from saying hi when they walked up to Qiangshen and herself.

At the Four Wheels Cooperation, inside Zhaolin's office it was pitch black except the tiny light sipping in through the window.

The view of the city was crystal clear with different color from houses around and it was extremely beautiful.

The city was bubbling with happiness, couples held hands, smiling brightly at each other while heading to their destination.

Even with all these going around, Zhaolin wasn't moved. His eyes remained glued to the already closed coffee shop opposite their building. Or maybe he was staring at nothing in particular.

His door opened, he already knew who it was. Everyone else had left except Riuwen.

"Zhao," 

Zhaolin didn't answer. He didn't even have the energy to speak. The news had drained the last strength he thought he had. 

"Zhaolin let's return home," 

There was still no reply from Zhaolin, he took three steps closer and was taken aback by how horrible his little brother looked.

"Zhaolin," Riuwen called with a panicked tone. Zhaolin didn't say anything nor reply.

It only made Riuwen worry more, did I really make a mistake by telling him?

There was still no reaction from Zhaolin.

Zhaolin that had remained immobile since Riuwen came in stirred, his drooped eyes shut open.
