Name:THE CEO's LOVE Author:JoannaAngel05
"Do you like it?" Qingran tilted her head to the side and asked.

Zhaolin nodded as he still had food in his mouth.

"Is it good?"

He nodded again.

"Are you enjoying it?"

This time as he was about to nod, a voice asked from the door. "How do you expect him to, when you keep questioning him?"

"Mom!" Qingran ran to hug Xueyan. "You're early, did you fly?"

A chuckle escaped Zhaolin's throat.

"Yes, I did. I knew you wouldn't let him be."

"You were worried then." Qingran stated then turned to Zhaolin. "She was worried about you."

"Ran'er?" Xueyan called. "Be quiet,"

"No more talking," Qingran covered her mouth and went to look out the window.

"She's so obedient," Zhaolin complimented.

"Uhmm," Xueyan looked in between Zhaolin and her little girl. "I'm not so sure. Well, at times she is. Not always, though."

"It's delicious," he pointed at the food. "I'll love to eat it forever."

"You'd get tired." She didn't want to go deeper. "I bet your mother's is tastier."

As they continued chatting, the telephone on the table started ringing but Zhaolin felt too lazy to move... He simply ignored the ringing phone.

"Won't you answer?" Xueyan pointed at the telephone.

"No," he flashed her a smile.

Immediately a light knock on the door made the three people in the office to turn to it. Without waiting for an answer the person pushed the door.

Zhaolin's eyes squinted at the person, Xueyan didn't expect her so she was a little bit shocked.

Meanwhile Qingran was ever ready, "Come in and shut the door. Daddy doesn't like it open."

Xiao Shiya still hasn't recovered as she looked in between the three people in the office. She could hear heart beat loudly in her ears. The hand she used in holding her bag tightened.

She felt her body heat up and her breathe stop.

"Xiao Shiya," Zhaolin called out of annoyance. "Shut the door."

"I didn't know you had company..." Shiya started, her heart pounding against blouse.

"Company?" Qingran interrupted.

"Ran'er." Xueyan called out to shut the little girl up. "Come over here,"

And Qingran went to sit on Xueyan's awaiting ŀȧp.

"We are leaving," Xueyan said as she stood up to her feet.

Zhaolin quickly blocked her path, "You don't have to. Or if you insist I'll drop you..."

A scoff from Shiya made Zhaolin pause. Shiya's eyes bulged, she hadn't meant for that to be out loud. Then she noticed Zhaolin turning around to look at her, and she quickly looked down dressing her top. She didn't want to meet one of those deadly glares.

"It's fine, we can manage." Xueyan ȧssured him and strode towards the door without waiting for him to insist on dropping them off.

As Xueyan got closer to the door, she smirked at Shiya. And gave her the look of, this is just the beginning.

Shiya couldn't hold her mouth from falling open. She really had something to say... But with Zhaolin here? She tried to control the anger rising in her, but... "Zhaolin, what was she doing here?"

She would be lying if she said she wasn't dying to know. And would also be lying if she wasn't scared.

Zhaolin simply ignored her, took up the flask and walked to his table to sit and continue eating.

Shiya just stood there like a statue and watched him eat.

"Zhaolin?" Her stomach churned with either anger or eagerness to know what that food tasted like and why he was so smitten by it.

She started getting closer, and finally setting herself on the couch. "I'm here to discuss about the end year party..." She paused and took a deep breath while playing with her fingers. "You haven't said anything about it."

There was a loud burp from Zhaolin.

Shiya couldn't hide her shock, she had never seen that side of him. He easily burped like he was alone and had no care...

A knock on the door had Shiya's turning with speed. Is it her again?

"Hmmm," Zhaolin answered.

The door opened to reveal Riuwen. He didn't react seeing her. He had been calling Zhaolin to notify him of her presence in the building but he was too busy with Xueyan and Qingran around.

A slight bow at her as he strode forward.

"Have this washed and sent back to Ran'er," Zhaolin pushed the flask to a very surprised Riuwen.

He didn't ask questions, he just bowed and left.

"Zhaolin," Shiya called out.

Finally he looked up from his pc. "What exactly are you here for?"

"To know why you haven't sent an invite to my family,"

"I will, when the time is right. If you may take your leave."

The arrogance... Shiya's mouth clenched and unclenched. He wasn't willing for Xueyan and that little girl to go... But he's sending her out.

Without looking back, Shiya left.

"She looks so much like, uhmmm. Ah! The image keeps disappearing when it's about to get clear." Jingze tapped his head twice.

Tingting turned off the tap and wiped her hands be dry. "How old?"

"She should be around Zhihao's age," Jingze said to his wife.

She nodded. "What other features?"

"She's beautiful,"

Tingting chuckled. "Really?"

Jingze nodded.

"Maybe she's a child actor and you've probably seen her on television or a child model." Tingting suggested.

"I'm not so sure," he took up his coffee cup and took a sip. "Why am I even bothered about her?" He hissed.

"That's what I'm worried about." Tingting said.

"That's enough, have you called Jingshi yet?"

"Yes, and she sounded so excited. She really sounds happy. Oh my little girl." Tingting touched her left ċhėst.

"Happy about what?" Jingze questioned. "You didn't get to ask?"

"Seems like my baby has a boyfriend now... I have this feeling that a boy is making buŧŧerflies in her stomach."

Jingze shook his head. "She better face her education."

"She's allowed to have a love life." Tingting argued.

"When did you start worrying to the extent of worrying about her love life?" Jingze started strolling out of the kitchen.

"She's my daughter, everything she does matters. Every little thing. Just that Jingshi had been a brat from the beginning. She took after you. I'm trying to get on the good side of my children especially my baby girl."

Jingze shook his head and chuckled. "You're looking for excuses to get her back to attend the end year party."

Tingting halted. Jingze halted too then turned back to give her that 'i know you too well' look.

"Can you try and keep up the act?" She questioned.

"You also know Jingshi, she would never do anything to disrupt Zhaolin's plan. So I'm not wasting my energy."

Tingting wanted to scream so bad. What kind of husband was this? Sometimes he was sweet and caring, sometimes he was the total opposite.

"Jingze please," she tried using her most pleasing voice.

"Find out who that little girl is, and I'll have Zhaolin call his cousin. She only listens to him." With that said he went straight to his study.

"Try calling Qiangshen too, he's refusing to pick my calls." She shouted after him.

She sighed. The kind of children the almighty blessed her with. They didn't listen to her or even her husband.

He didn't even describe the little girl, and he wants me to find out who she is... Tingting saw question marks cloud her eyes before she shut them and sighed again. She powered her ŀȧptop on the table on and started searching for photos of a beautiful little girl.

Starring at the millions of photo, she felt like heating her head with a bat and then falling unconscious because what in the world will she do with all these photos?

"Honey!" She screamed at the top of her voice. "You really need to help me, to help you. What are her eyes like? Nose? Ears? Her hair?"

The door to the study creaked open. "Golden brown eyes, black hair... The nose? I'm not sure." Jingze then shut the door close.

"Thanks, that would help." She started searching for photos taking recently around the company.

Thirty minutes more she sighed, "These foolish gossipers calling themselves bloggers can't even take photos that matters... Taking pictures of every employee in the company!" She continued scrolling down, her eyes briefed all over the photos before she clicked the down buŧŧon and then something caught her eyes.

A very blurry picture of two people. One person she would recognize with her eyes closed and perhaps... "This might be the little girl."

Though the image wasn't clear, she quickly clicked save. Saved the picture twice if incase one was to delete by itself.
