Chapter 43 - Evolution!

I pitied the boring fucks who placed these rocks as a deceitful, snaking mazes to confuse a soul.

"Too bad I'm a Magus! Mwahahahahah!" I smirked and laughed a hearty at the fools.

"Aeyai scan these silly rocks and get me the heck outta this BOOORING place!"

<Affirmative!>

<Scanning: >

I saw the tall, sky piercing rocks and the many daunting cracks of paths they offered but to a Magus and his dependable butler, all of those treacherous paths were outlined with blue and a particular path I saw was highlighted with green meaning it was the right path.

With jolly skips I followed and followed the green highlighted path, out and away from the barren grey-lands.

....

"These are evidence!" said and claimed a voice, loud, clear, distinct and direct.

"They are evidence!" claimed another voice, but this was familiar; it was of the O'Fiery Virgin.

"We need to make this known!"

"Yes! Relay it to the leaders!"

Raul stared on, with a curled dumb smile all too captivated by the two conversations or were it one? No! They were more of exchanges of commands, orders and demands with all a stern faces.

"You did great! My Lioness!" then claimed the man to the Lioness, with long auburn hair he stood; across a giant wooden table, his hair which was in a glimpse; a raging fire burning down to his waist which enforced his tongue's command.

His sharp, arching long moustache was what defined him as a man, it ran longer and seemingly and sharply protruding far away from his cheeks.

"Thank you sir!"

Raul felt as though a Lion King and a Lioness Princess were voicing each other with respect, talks with no questions asked but instead all were as though orders, 'This is the way they talk!' Raul claimed and in his mind he was mimicking their style.

Fiora and her pride had reached the plateau of Clan Sunflower, where immediately they crossed the only bridge and walked to the main castle hall where they held talks of the matter; of the discovery of the tunnel and the dark hall immediately with no welcomes and hugs on wasting precious times.

Standing at the sides of the inner hall, where banners of red draped to the floors, Raul was among the Sunflower Plateau and besides him there were many new faces, yet all shared a common theme.

Straight and upright with no movement allowed they stood like breathing statues, their faces all too familiar to the ways of how their leaders talked.

Strangely enough Raul felt that he was the most ordinary out of these disciplined soldiers, ironically he was still a sore thumb which stuck out among the men with his sunken looks of wary eyes.

The meeting the Father and daughter held ended with not much a long time, precise talks with little waste for social mundane conformities.

The news and the videos were then sent out immediately, it was not made public however it brought changes, invoking unprecedented blames from leaders to leaders.

All the while the star of this show, I - Phillipi the grand Magus had just made out of that wretched grey-lands.

Minutes of turns and walks later I found myself in need of climbing a mountain, however to the sides Aeyai led me to a rather peculiarly made road, roughly tiled with bricks where I see hints of tire tracks, "Tire tracks? Are there people living out here?"

"I should be careful. Aeyai scan how long have those tracks been there!"

<Scanning!>

<The tracks are likely from three days earlier.>

"Wow! I'm surprised you can actually do it, How'd you do it?"

<There are particles of soils on top of->

"Atatatatah!! Hold it! I don't really wanna hear it." said I, "Maybe these tracks are from the expedition crew?!"

<A possibility!>

"Mm-Hmm! What I really wanna know most of all is how they get past the snake? Were they the ones who weakened the snake?"

<Unintelligible Master!>

"Yeah! Thanks for telling me that, I did not figure that at ALL!" I was sarcastic, head shook as I followed the road which was dug at the side of the mountain, long striding turns leading to the top as I slowly strided along and shortly I reached the mists.

The fog which reigned, which blocked the rays of the sun were heavy and wide but soon I walked past it with not much an effort and all too softly the radiant sun of spring had finally felled my pointy nose.

The sunlight I had come to missed.

My eyes were now blessed with the wild greens I had come to yearn, gladdened I was to see life, insects and moss with birds chirping way high the top of the mountain.

The sights the scenery offered bliss to my eyes, the wild untamed greeneries, tall trees and their smaller sons, I walked and walked and almost I became an aesthete until finally I realised that I was but a short sprint away to the top and in my excitement to bask on nature more I used blink to teleport me to the top.

In a blink I was there standing a small adventurer at a vast green filled earth, closing my eyes the fresh air was fresher than fresh, wilder than any, "This! This is art!" I claimed.

But when I opened these eyes which were as blue as the soft sky above I was stunned, speechless as I claimed, "Were those nature channels a lie?"

Before me was a patch of many dark green bushes, where berries of purple grows but what puzzled me was the different kinds of animals who ate those berries.

"Thos are big cats right?" I pointed weakly.

<Mountain Lions!>

"Those are deers?"

<Spotted Deers!>

"And these are tracks?"

<Affirmative!>

"What's with this scene?" I clenched my fists, another tantrum as to why those mountain lions and deers ate the same berries from the same fucking bush.

<Aeyai scanned that what Master presumed as predators are infact omnivores!>

"No! they are strictly carnivorous!"

"Maybe they're a different type of mountain lions!"

<Negative!>

<They are of the class Mammalia.>

<In the order Carnivoram>

<And the family Felidae.>

"How'd you know all of that? I don't know half of all the things that you've just said!" a Magus had his tantrum only boiled as he speaks on.

<If Master had seen or heard it. Aeyai will add it into her memory.>

"Oh well that's nice,, but that's not the fucking issue here, why are bloody mouths eating berries with those vegetarians!"

<Unknown! Aeyai proposed a change of diet.>

"Why would you change your diet? It's in their genes, It's how they're made, they should tear those deers throat!" I grunted, more and more as my temper rises.

It might have been silly and childish but to a Magus it was of a heavy concern and issue.

<Evolution!>

"Huh? Man fuck you! Why would you evolve from eating whoever the fuck you want to going all green and be a fucking FARMER!!! THAT'S LIKE DEVOLVING!!! and,,"

"WHA- WHO PROPOSED A PACIFISTIC IDEALISM ON THEM!!!" the unknown, the bugging mystery I laid eyes to finally cracked and erupted a Magus, thumping mad the ground below I screamed.

Then;

"Huh? Why're they scramimg away?"

At first I blamed my sudden shout for disrupting their meal time but the animals they ran towards a Magus not away from my little body.

Then; my ears twitched as my eyes saw from behind the bushes, rustling trees and moving trunks, the pattern of how they moved-; as though the trees were making way for a mammoth to come.

Come and coming, closer and closer as the trees fell one after the other until I heard crackling growls from the deep lurking shadows of the bushes.

Then the noise stopped, "What the fuck was that all about?" I craned my neck closer to hear more but silent the leaves remained.

"Phew! Maybe it was just a landsli-"

I shouldn't have said that, I shouldn't have been unprepared.

It jumped out of the bush.

With crackling grunts and growls.

A beast of darkish-red and veins of red, it was a Hellspawn, with two protrudings fangs which stuck up from its longer bottom jaw, it was way longer than its upper jaws.

How it slightly lowered its eye-less head showed it want to sink and skewer me through.

Charging with hulking sets of forearms outshining its smaller hind legs, a monstrous abomination; come to make a meal out of a Magus.
