Chapter 194 - The In-Between Story: Taemeng’s Promise Ring To Star (1/2)

Taemeng had been busy preparing his trainees. The four boys Kaiden, Star, and he had helped were ready to enter the latest competition show. It would be from a smaller company, but as long as he got them on screen, the boys would be able to get exposure. In addition to training his students, he was also using what money he could to fix up the studio.

The leaking rood was patched up and the space had more mirrors. The floors were laminated and not just concrete. The space in the back had not been used at all, so Taemeng planned to open up the space for private rooms. It was bringing in some money, but the ones that brought him the most money was when Suu Jin had visited.

Taemeng… He wasn’t one to like many people be in his space, but when Suu Jin had told him he would film himself at the studio and offered paid entrance for fan signing there, the dancer was shocked. Shun had told him the idol prince wanted to help, since he refused to accept the pinkette’s money. So here Taemeng was sitting beside the idol and watching the large mass of girls waiting at the opened door to enter.

“I can’t believe Suu Jin is here!” Peony Studio’s female trainees gushed together.

“Wow! I wonder if he could teach us some stuff,” the male trainees were trying to take advantage of the idol prince.

They were lined up along the walls and were looking at the owner of the studio and the popular idol. For Taemeng, he was sitting stiffly unsure how to act. He had not seen any kind of fan event or been to one. To be sitting behind the table with Suu Jin and their picture with the Studio’s name stacked before them, the dancer blinked it all in. A tap to his shoulder caused his golden eyes to turn to the pinkette.

“Hey, you going to be okay? I can sign alone if you want.”

“All we do is sign and hand it to them.”

Suu Jin grinned and shook his head.

“Sometimes they want pictures and sometimes they want to talk, probably both. Don’t worry, this is for you and the kids. Ah, looks like it’s time.”

Jin smiled over at the staffs he had brought with him. Soon, steps were sounded and females were before them. Many were praising them and telling them to continue fighting. Others were just squealing with happiness. They signed so many pictures, Taemeng’s fingers were starting to cramp. How Suu Jin could do it for hours without any pain was beyond him.

“Taemeng! Oh my gosh you are handsome,” A female gushed, “When will you put out something? Did you quit dancing and singing?”

“I don’t know. I’m busy right now.”

That didn’t seem to satisfy the female because she continued ask more questions. Suu Jin cleared his throat and spoke up to save him.

“Miss, Ah Tae had been working hard in training his students,” the pinkette pointed to the line up of trainees, “Some will be entering an upcoming competition. Do your best to support him and tell everyone you know. If his students make it, Ah Tae will film a dance… shirtless.”

That made the female flush with excitement and Taemeng to frown at him. Suu Jin only grinned as they continued the signing. Once every fan was given their autographs, they were maneuvered to a room with chairs for each fan. The trainees preformed what they’ve learned with dances and songs. The fans were given snacks and drinks before Suu Jin forced Taemeng to dance, shirt on, of course.

That caused a lot of the female fans to scream and cheer happily.

Then, Suu Jin took the spotlight and Taemeng had to admit, the pinkette really was meant to be an idol. He made sure his trainees were watching and learning from Suu Jin’s presence. Once the fan event was over and all the fans left, Taemeng sighed feeling the place was more open again.

“Hey,” Suu Jin smiled at the trainees, “Before I leave, I wanted to let you all know about your performance.”

The idol prince spoke with each trainee and gave his advice. It surprised Taemeng that Suu Jin was able to remember what each trainee did and how to help. Saying goodbye to the idol prince and sending his trainees home, he looked checked his bank account to see the amount from the event. There was a lot of zeros.

“Ah! Good thing you haven’t locked up yet,” a female voice spoke up and Taemeng looked over at the stairs, “Am I too late to get an autograph from you?”

“Star,” the dancer smiled and held up a signed picture, “This is for Kaiden.”

“What?” Star pouted and moved to sit beside him, “Ah, always your best friend first.”

She sighed and smiled at him. It had been awhile since she seen him with how busy both of them had been. Shinny Dolls were heading overseas to promote their album and she won’t be able to see Taemeng for over 5 months. Thankfully she was able to find time to see him before she leaves tomorrow morning.

“You both look handsome,” Star mentioned looking at the image, “Be careful, Ah Shun will get jealous.”

Taemeng smirked and signed out of his bank account.

“Ah Shun knows there isn’t anything between us.”

“Mmhmm,” Star grinned and laughed when Taemeng gave her a deadpanned stare.

The dancer rolled his eyes and grabbed her hand. This caused the laughter to die down quickly and he looked deeply into her brown eyes. He already knew Star and the girls were going overseas in the morning, so to have his girlfriend here with him made him happy.

“Have you eaten?”

“Not yet,” Star admitted, “Want to go eat out with me, Ah Tae?”

“…”

“…”

“…”

“Why… are you so silent…”

“Uh,” Taemeng cleared his throat as his cheeks warmed, “I’m usually the one to ask. Weird when you ask…”

“Hey!” Star laughed and slapped his shoulder playfully, “I’m craving hotpot.”

Taemeng turned off everything and locked up the door as they headed to his car. Pulling out of the parking lot, they headed to their favorite restaurant.

“Did Jenell drop you off?” Taemeng questioned on the drive.

“Kola did,” Star smiled, “She also said to kiss you for her. Something you want to tell me?” Star smirked playfully at him.

“Ah,” Taemeng played along, “She came by when you were busy a few times.”

“…” Star gritted her smile, “Really?”
