Chapter 44 - Did I Do Something Wrong?

Shun's eyes were wide and he blinked at the empty spot his friend was at. Glancing back and forth to where Ping was sitting to where Ping left, he just stared with brows to his hairline. He looked around to see eyes staring at him.

"Did I do something?"

"I'll speak with him," Kaiden offered and Shun nodded with furrowed brows.

From all the memories Xiong Shun had and his own experience with the boy, he had never been in the receiving end of Ping Ping's anger. Scratching his head, he tried to think back on what he did to make his little friend upset with him, but he couldn't figure out what it was.

The snack for Ping in his hand was quickly pulled away and swallowed down by Mikey, the pig of the group. That boy was like a vacuum. Every time Shun looked over, Mikey would have something in his hand to eat or was saying he was hungry.

'Honestly, where does it even go to?'

Mikey is the skinniest out of all of them, thin and lanky, but the biggest eater.

'How?'

"I'm sure it would be fine," Mikey said with his mouth still chewing the sugared crackers.

Shun leaned back as crumbs flew out of the boy's mouth. He reached over and smacked the boy's head lightly like his mother would do.

"Close your mouth and talk after you swallow," Shun frowned and Mikey rubbed where he hit.

"You," Mikey quickly shut his mouth and swallowed, "You don't have to hit me! So mean…"

"I apologize," he offered an apologetic smile, "You okay?"

He reached out and felt around the boy's head.

At that time, Ping and Kaiden were talking to one another and the young boy did not want to say what was bothering him. The popular trainee sighed and thought about what to say to sway the boy out of whatever is going on.

"You and Shun had grew up together, right?" He tried, "I am sure whatever he said or did, he would feel really bad. You said you weren't hungry but your stomach disagrees. Just eat something small, okay? It would make all of us feel better and you would feel better too."

Ping nodded, although he was still upset with his friend, he would forgive his gege. Kaiden was right, they've been together for a long time and Shun had always protected him. So, ready to forgive his dear friend, he walked to the kitchen only to find Shun rubbing Mikey's head like he would do with him.

His eyes watered and Ping quickly ran into the confession room to cry. He pulled his knees to his chest and dropped his head against them. The camera caught the shakes, the hiccups, and the cries from the boy. The audience watched and the internet went crazy.

Outside of the show in the real world, Wen Dong, good friends with both Shun and Ping, smacked his head hard. He could not believe little Ping Ping was crying. He looked at the chat and sighed with nods, agreeing with his fans.

"Mm. I know. Poor Ah Ping. Shun was half asleep when he was talking, right? Eh? Why are you saying it's Shun's fault? Hey! Don't call Ping a crybaby," Wen Dong frowned and closed his eyes as he thought about what he needed to do to fix this mess.

'I got it!'

Looking through his contact, he found the person he was looking for. Calling the number, he waited listening to the dial tone.

"Yes."

"Ah Jin! It's Wen Dong. Are you watching it? Ping is crying again. Can you do something?"

"…"

"Hello?"

"How did you get my number?"

"Ah, why must you sound so angry. Ah Ping gave me your number as emergency if anything happened to him you know. Geez…"

"…"

"So… You gonna do something?"

"… There is nothing I can do."

"Bullshit!" He shouted and quickly apologized to his audience, "You have power. Use it to help your cousin!" Wen Dong whispered harshly.

"I'm hanging up."

"Wait-"

Wen Dong heard the call ended and his mouth dropped in disbelief as he stared at his phone. Scowling and huffing, he looked at the chat before turning to watch the end of the show.

"Shun will do something. He loves Ping and will fix this mess."

For Suu Jin, he was upset that 1. Wen Dong had his number. That fool should not. 2. His baby cousin was in tears again. There was something wrong and he could do nothing. 3. He was out on a date with Lisa, so there was no way he would be able to watch the show.

Inwardly sighing, he wondered what happened and if, like Wen Dong stated, if he had the power to sway the producers somehow. No, no. He shouldn't do that. He had to trust that the audience will vote for Ping to stay. He returned to Lisa who was overlooking the city below, leaning against the railings of the roof. Wrapping his arms around her from behind, he placed a gently kiss to her temple.

They stood like that for a moment, before they both returned to his car. In the distance, cameras were going off and soon after that, articles of the couples spread through the internet like wildfire. Along with that news was of Xiong Shun being a terrible person and a crybaby Ping.

Back at the marbled house, Shun was pacing the training room floor.

Everyone had picked up on their paces and were doing pretty well. They were also currently sleeping. For Shun, he was too busy thinking about why Ping was still upset with him, why the boy refused to sleep beside him, and why Ping was refusing to eat. As he continued to walk from one end to the other, his wonderful luck had him trip over his own foot. Slamming into the ground, he cried out when his knee smacked against the hardwood floor.

'Dammit!'

This was not good. He turned himself to sit up and felt the pain blossoming on his kneecaps. Pushing himself up, he stumbled and gasped when he felt the sharp pain shooting up his leg.

"You have got to be kidding me! I must be curse," he groaned and limped to the wall.

"Good morning, Prince Shun."

'Good morning my ass.'
