Chapter 39 - Did He Say That Aloud!

"I'm sad Kiki left and that we are getting close to being an idol and I am scared and I-" Ping was pulled into his cousin's chest and he heard the shushing and felt the rub against his back. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"I had a nightmare," Ping mumbled and Jin stopped the rubbing and pulled his baby cousin's face away to search the boy's face.

Ping emotional was normal, but Ping emotional and returning nightmares of the past meant the boy was getting too stress. This had happened years prior and Jin did not want his baby cousin to go through it again. He saw Ping smiling before leaning up to hug him.

"I'm glad you are here."

Jin sighed and held Ping close to him. He looked over to Shun who was watching them and when their eyes caught one another, Shun smiled softly. The ride was quiet, at least until the car stopped at their destination. There were squeals and flashes that blinded Shun, even when it was light out. People he didn't know were calling his name and asking questions.

"Hello everyone," Jin smiled and bowed to everyone being held back by the sectioned ropes, "We are just going to have lunch. There is nothing exciting happening."

Shun could hear the reporters fighting to speak to the idol prince. They were asking about 1Luv and if they were back together, if he was not going to be solo anymore, and then they brought up a female named Lisa. Shun furrowed his brows at what they were insinuating.

"Jin, JIn, did you and Lisa finally kissed?"

"Suu Jin, there is a picture of Lisa leaving your home early in the morning. Did she spend the night?"

"Jin! According to a source, you are ready to get married to her. Is that true?"

Shun forced his face to stay neutral, but his heart was hurting and he was fuming on the inside. Who was this Lisa girl and was what they said true?! He glanced over to the pinkette to see the man offer an apologetic smile and pulled them into the restaurant. The idol's bodyguard, the one Shun had seen at Jin's home, shut the door and closed the curtains for privacy.

The restaurant was empty and the waitress flushed, bowing respectfully. She led them to their seats and left them with the menu as they looked it over.

"I apologize," Jin sighed, "This was supposed to be a secret."

"It isn't your fault, Ah Jin," Ping smiled sitting beside Shun and held up the menu to show his friend, "Gege, this fish dish looks really good!"

"Mm… Oh my gawd!" Shun screeched staring wide eyes as he saw the amount it costs, "I'm just gonna get water… Wait, how much does that cost?"

Shun quickly flipped to the drinks to not see any water as an option, making him hyperventilate. No amount of Xiong Shun's money or the golden coins he had back then would even cover a full course meal! Quickly shutting the menu, he sat with his back straight and mouth pursed.

"Shun, it is alright. I am paying," Jin thanked the waitress for the water.

He took a sip and noticed Shun was still sitting rigid like an uncooked noodle.

"The water is free, Shun."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Don't worry gege, Jin has lots of money. Get whatever you want!" Ping exclaimed and pointed out what he was getting, "I want this and this and I think I will try this too! That is alright, right Ah Jin?"

"Anything you want, Ah Ping."

Jin smiled and his green eyes glanced over to see Shun frowning slightly, but his brows were furrowed with worry.

"What are you getting, Suu Jin?"

"Mm, I ate before I came."

"…"

"…"

"Why take us out when you already ate…?" Shun smiled but he was certainly suspicious.

From the way Jin looked from the last time Shun saw him, the man looked even more thin. Was the idol not taking care of himself again? Clearing his throat, Shun let out a short laugh.

"Ping is ordering enough for all of us. Why don't we just share?"

"But… I want it for myself…" Ping whispered with a frown and Shun flicked the boy's nose.

"Oi, don't be selfish. If you want more after, then you can ask Ah Jin nicely. Okay?"

The young boy relented with a sigh and Shun grinned over at the pinkette. When he saw the soft look on the idol prince's face, Shun quickly pretended to wipe something off his face to hide the flush across his cheeks.

"Are you ready to order, sirs?" The waitress kindly asked and listed what Ping had order with a laugh, "Would that be all?"

"3 milk teas as well, miss."

Jin smiled and Shun watched the female flustered for a moment before nodding and heading to the kitchen. When green eyes turned to him, Shun quirked his brow and was trying to keep a smile on. He only received an oblivious smile from the idol.

"I really should have gotten a different box," he murmured to himself and turned away.

"Hm? Ah Shun don't want to be here?" Ping frowned and his mouth dropped opened for a moment.

Did… Did he say that aloud?! Oh crap…

He looked over to see green eyes distant and the idol looked…

"I didn't mean it badly! I promise," Shun quickly explained, "I mean… I have never been to a zoo or an amusement park. They seem really fun," both cousins were just staring at him and he flushed, "I mean it is fun here with you two as well! Just different kind of fun. More talking fun, eating fun, I am going to shut my mouth now."

Covering his mouth, Shun inwardly groaned. This was terrible. Suu Jin probably thought he didn't care that the idol was here with him. He did! Shun was very happy, IS very happy to spend time with the idol prince. It's just… It was just hard when they could not do what they did in the idol's home. Shun could not hug him, or touch him, or kiss him, or… or…

"I apologize, Shun.. I hope you enjoy your time with me nonetheless," Jin said it in a defeated tone that made Shun's heart clenched.
