“How did it go today?”

Quan Meng looked at her dirty face, torn stockings, and broken heels. “Not that well.”

She took off her shoes and slumped in the passenger seat.

Furthermore, there was a striking character “Yu” on the letter of appointment.

“Is this Yu Yan’s company?” Quan Meng showed Huo Ling her phone screen.

“Yes.” Huo Ling only took a glance.

“Did you ask him to take me in?” Quan Meng was very happy that she could be hired by Shan Shi Jewelry, but if she had to go through the back door, then she would rather not join them.

“I only sent your resume to their company.

They hired you because they saw your ability. Didn’t you see that they were looking for an independent designer when you were looking for a job?”

The next day, Quan Meng came fully prepared to the entrance of Shan Shi Jewelry. She showed her letter of appointment to the reception and was then taken to the administrative work area.

To her surprise, she was assigned a semi-open studio.

The whole place was decorated very simply. There was some very nice greenery decorating the window sill and the office desk, not to mention the comfortable seats and the floor-to-ceiling windows with an excellent view.

“Hello. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m the design director, Hu Wen. You can just call me Wen.” A professional-looking woman with short hair dressed in a pantsuit extended her hand and introduced herself to Quan Meng. She then introduced a bald man who looked to be in his thirties next to her. “This is another independent designer of ours, Li Fen. His office is right next to yours.”

“Hello, I’m the new independent designer. My name is Quan Meng.” Quan Meng politely shook hands with the two of them.

Hu Wen displayed an appropriate smile on her face the whole time. An independent designer works independently outside of the design department, but you still need to participate in some projects. I’ll let you know the details later. Is that okay?”
