She couldn't understand why Jay was asking her these things.

Neither did she know the purpose of her hiding the past from him.

It was possible that she was afraid of telling him about her terrible past so that he wouldn't look down on her. She probably wanted to impress him so that he would accept her.

Maybe, that was her motive for hiding the truth all this time.

Based on that, it might have meant that there was no love between her and Jay.

If she truly had feelings for this man, then she wouldn't be willing to hide her past from him.

Doris felt like she was walking into a cloud of fog and simply couldn't get out.

"Okay," Jay said softly.

For now, he needed to make sure he was gentle and patient towards her as much as possible, because it seemed like it would take a while to regain her trust in him.

The truth was that Jay was really upset, but he had to suck it up and hide his true feelings in front of her.

All of a sudden, Doris paused in the middle of her tracks.

"What's wrong?" Jay asked curiously.

"Excuse me. I'm sorry, but which room am I supposed to be in?" Doris asked.

"Well..." Jay raised his finger and pointed towards a door.

"Thank you." Doris proceeded to walk inside.

Jay followed her into the room.

Dori

as Felix and never had anything to do with the rich, upper class societies. She couldn't understand how she would meet a person like Jay.

"Because..." All of a sudden, Jay couldn't simply explain the reason that he had fallen in love with Doris. It was going to be a long conversation. So he just smiled gently and said, "All that matters is that I do."

"What about me? Did I love you the same?" asked Doris.

Looking at the handsome face of the man in front of her, Doris actually found his appearance to be very striking. It was completely in line with her liking and preference for men. All that she couldn't understand was why couldn't she feel love towards the man in front of her.

She simply didn't feel anything when she looked at Jay.

She wondered if loving him was a possibility.

After thinking about it for quite some time, Jay suddenly said, "Of course you love me. You can't even sleep unless you have kissed me every night. Besides that, every night you would hold my hand so you can sleep easily."

As much as possible, Jay tried to convince Doris that his relationship with her was very intimate. This way, he could get closer to her and gain her trust.

Removing the gap between the two was an urgent matter that he had to prioritize from now on.
