The meeting just ended, and everyone left the room. Nancy and Charles were the only ones left in his office.

The shareholders always gave Charles a hard time. Nancy could not help but worry about him.

How he handled the situation surprised her. The meeting was smooth and easy. Charles didn't say much, but every word he spoke was firm and irrefutable.

"The shareholders... Did they always do that on purpose? Deliberately make things difficult for you?" Nancy walked towards Charles and stood behind him. She lightly rubbed his shoulders with her uninjured arm. He seemed at ease, but he was probably stressed and tired.

He turned to face her, took her hand, and kissed it gently. "Earning more money is all they care about. All these years of huge profit and they still haven't realized why it's possible at all."

"That's not true. They know it; at the end of the day, they still follow your lead," said Nancy softly. She looked at him intently with her honest eyes.

"I like it when you flatter me. It's not like you." Charles let out a chuckle.

"Don't read too much into it!" Changing the topic, Nancy asked, "By the way, what kind of video do you want to make? How do you want it to turn out?"

"I want a video of the kids with you and me!"

"Can this mitigate the negative impact?"

"You really wouldn't mind showing up in the video?" Charles answered w

do it myself. You have to focus on your meeting," Nancy whispered, insisting.

Charles didn't respond to Nancy and kept on stirring her coffee. "The secretary will give you a copy of the documents for your review. Please go over it a few times then let us know of your comments and suggestions."

"Alright, Mr. Fu!" Just in time, the secretary came in with all the documents and provided a set for each executive.

They picked up the documents and started going through the pages with a serious face.

For a while, the room was quiet. Only the sounds of flipping pages and the spoon inside the porcelain cup held by Charles could be heard.

The slight mix of sounds was actually calming and pleasant to the ears.

When the coffee was no longer too hot but not yet cold, Charles handed over the cup back to Nancy.

She took the cup and said in a shy but appreciative tone, "Thank you."

Charles flashed a charming smile and said something that caught everyone's attention, "It's my duty to serve you, Nancy, my dear woman."

"Wow..." Everyone was in awe and couldn't believe what they just heard.

Mr. Fu, the company CEO, always served by his secretary, by everyone, now was the one serving?

Was this really the arrogant and moody Mr. Fu speaking?

If they didn't witness it with their own eyes nor heard with their own ears, they never would have believed it.
