'What happened?

Why did daddy lose mommy?'

Bobby sadly thought to himself, tossing and turning in bed and unable to fall asleep.

While everyone in the house was already asleep soundly, he got up stealthily.

And on his way downstairs, he tiptoed carefully before running out of the villa towards the back gate by the garden.

At the same time, Nancy and Nadia had already gone to bed.

Although her mother seemed completely fine, Nadia knew that something was off about her.

Unhappy as she was, the young girl didn't dare ask her mommy and kept mum until they prepared to go to bed.

She was afraid that Nancy would be bereaved if she were to dig around whatever was bothering her.

So, although her mother was already peacefully sleeping, Nadia was still wide awake in Nancy's arms.

And while she blankly stared at the white ceiling, a knock suddenly rang on the door.

Curious as to whoever it was, Nadia slipped off from the bed, ran to the door with bare feet, and opened the door.

"Bobby?! Hey! Why are you here?" Although Nadia was surprised, she was still able to whisper in a low tone, trying not to wake Nancy.

Meanwhile. Bobby wore an aggrieved look and complained, "Daddy is drunk, and he's not talking to me anyone." For a while, he paused to gather his thoughts. Then, with a pout, he added, "I miss mommy, so I came here to see her."

"She's already asleep. Do you think mommy and daddy can still be together?" Nadia asked, now frowning too. She finally understood that Nancy and Charles were taking time

oseph showed up at the door, smiling evilly at her.

"Miss Ning, you've come just in time!" he greeted in an exciting tone while sporting a cunning smug.

So, left with no choice, Nancy had to drive in.

And while she maneuvered the car inside, she thought of what Joseph had just said.

It seemed that he had been waiting for her.

Then, without being asked to, he walked towards her and opened the car door. "Miss Ning, please get out of the car."

"No, thanks. I only came here to drop Bobby," she replied while remaining fastened on the driver's seat.

Judging from the numbered times she met and spoke with him, Nancy knew that this man was trouble. So, it was best if she stayed away from him.

However, he stuck his head into the car and smirked. "Are you afraid of me?"

Nancy decided to ignore him and instead talked to the young boy beside her. "Bobby, go find your father."

"Okay!" He obediently got out of the car and ran towards the villa.

"Humph! His loser father hasn't sobered up yet," Joseph uttered with evident disdain.

"Mr. Joseph, do you think it's appropriate to say that about your brother?"

"What? Are you defending Charles?"

Nancy gave a snort of contempt and retorted, "Both of you are members of the Fu family, and I'm an outsider. So why should I defend him?"

"Wow, you have such a sharp tongue!" he expressed, touching Nancy's shoulder.

"Please take your hands off me! I'm leaving." Although she felt quite scared, Nancy still managed to channel a stern face while cursing those words.
