Chapter 251 - XXI Wife and Husband Meeting in the Finals

With Yassil out of the tournament and the number of participants for the finals of the celestial tournament, the finals were the match between the mysterious goddess and the energy lifeform was advanced by several hours. The latter, however, admitted defeat even before it started. This came as no surprise to anyone, as everyone felt that the opponent was too unfathomable.

Even so there were more people in the stadium than the previous days, they even decided to broadcast the final match to the eternal void clan's domain in the Abyss. The hype for the mortal tournament finals was much bigger than before, with the two finalist teams being the team leaded by the void clan's princess Yawen and Elijah Branches, the son-in-law of the royal family.

Knowing both of them would face each other today made even those who were uninterested in battles and cultivation had gone to watch the tournament.

Elijah, however, was in the resting area with his team discussing the strategy. He opened a large screen in the air with his phone before he placed the stage and positions of the two teams.

"To face Serina/Yawen and her team, we have more than just power. Yalli, I want you and Chloe to fight Aina, but even without her master by her side, she is as powerful as an ordinary celestial when using that stuff. Are you sure you can face her? There is no need to defeat her, it's just to gain time and stop her from using magic."

Yalli smacked her cheeks before she assured Elijah. "Trust me, she won't use any spell on our team."

A flying hammer also stopped in midair as a female's voice was transmitted into his head. "Aye, with my help, me and Yalli will take care of Aina."

"Ava." Hearing Elijah suddenly call her name, Ava felt a little overwhelmed by Elijah's present aura. Elijah took a small pendant and handed it to his teammate who was staring at him with a startled gaze.

"I just gave you one of my past creations. The lesser origin of protection, it is not that, precious as the other origins because of its use as a support origin. Its effect is to create energy fields and protect the user from enemy attacks based on the strength of one's energy, so it is only useful in the hands of those with fiery or explosive energies. You have the most fierce energy of the team, with this origin any barrier of you can resist several of Elliot and Yawen's blows."

"Evelynne has great talent in Gravity laws, even more than Ava so I was thinking of giving a lesser origin to her too. For her, the lesser origin of energy redirection. It will give you more freedom when using your true body's gravity powers. Instead of just using it to attract or push enemies away, you can employ gravity in any direction you want. Even to use two gravity field from opposite sides to pull apart of smash someone is possible." With a wave of his hand, he revealed a small gem and passed it into Evelynne's hands.

"In this battle, Ava will face Cassie. Cassie and Yawen can't use powers much above the realm of mortals, at most the power of the 10th realm. Cassie is great for close-range battles and her magic are powerful, but her aim is not that good, so she uses a passive sixth rank spell to increase her senses and dexterity. Your domain of Starfire is one of the best for mid-range battles as the heat is produced is the type that the void laws has the most difficult to disperse, use it to your advantage. The void clan can negate most energy attacks, but they can't negate things like heat and cold. Keep this is mind when you fight her."

"As for Elliot..." Elijah was staring at Evelynne with pity in his eyes. In the finals, he had his phone analyze the possibilities and the best chance was to his fight Yawen, leaving the most troublesome Elliot to Evelynne. Even now, Elijah firmly believed none of them could really defeat that boy.

He has an inborn trinity body that even Elijah found had to see through. He could summon an armament that could change colors depending on the power used. Red was when he uses it as any other mortal armament, only that his one had the faint smell of blood when he use it. White could be used to attack the other's spirit or soul, and protect the user's soul and spirit when in the shape of the armor. And of course purple was an energy weapon.

Not only that, he even inherited his mother's stellar dragon's true origin created by the will he put in his Stellar dragon's claw which created a whole new dragon lineage. Leaving his cultivation out, Elijah guessed only an attack made by someone at least in Edward's level could hurt just a little bit of Elliot's body.

The kid was even more of a monster than him. Elijah sighed to himself. After he thought all of this, he put his hand on Evenlynne's shoulder and said. "Evelynne, you will have to face Elliot in this match. I don't even have much to say, just don't die. It will be hard to reincarnate with the universe in its current state I wish you good luck."

The other felt a chill down their spine when they heard what he said. From the looks of it, not even Elijah had many hopes of defeating that monstrous-talented child of his. He even considered she's already lost even before the start of the match.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

With everything say, Elijah and his team heard the ringing bells announcing they time to get on the stage.

"It's time, let's get on the stage. No matter what, I won't accept any loss." Elijah knew this was the chance to prove himself. Since the beginning he's always felt inferior to Yawen, she was much older and more powerful than him. He did admire her for a long time, but he never had the chance to see how much he has grown in those years. Closing his eyes for a moment, he retracted every bit of the aura around him into his body.

Stepping on the stage, Elijah eyes met Yawen's gaze locked on him as both nodded. Yawen's radiant golden hair fluttered in the wind as both sides positioned on opposite sides. This was their wife and husband battle.
