Chapter 250: Move Out!

'Does an ability like that really exist here?'

Bella couldn't help but get dubious while looking at Leo who's already wearing the Powered Assault Armor.

'But if it's real, just what materials does he need to be able to summon those things?'

She was genuinely curious about it.

After all, that armor, those aircrafts are all items that can only be seen inside a game and she couldn't help but to also feel envious at Leo has.

Unfortunately for her, she didn't know that the materials that Leo needs are just those paper currencies or gold bars from the Old World that have been now deemed useless by humanity.

And it's not anything fancy like dragons blood or phoenix blood.

In fact, Leo had raided a lot of bank vaults that by now he's practically a walking bank and he could buy any items he deemed necessary for their survival.

But he refrained from doing so as he knew that too much of a good thing is bad. That's the reason why he revived those factory lines for reusing bullet shells and workshops for cold weapons.

The reason why he came all the way to Hawaii to acquire a still operational naval battleship, and flying around the world raiding or taking over important places.

It's because he didn't want the people living under his protection to have the impression that they are already safe from any dangers lurking outside of the walls.

He wanted them to still fear what is beyond those towering walls.

He wanted them to always be battle ready for the upcoming catastrophe that's slowly heading towards Earth, which might spell their doom.

He didn't want them to be loafing around like there's no danger anymore.

He needs every adult out there to be able to fight anytime.

Male or female, there's no exception to it, except for elderlies who can't fight anymore, and the children who are the future of mankind.

He might look and act silly all the time, something not befitting his status.

And that his actions so far might have been aimlessly going nowhere, but no one knew...that he's slowly preparing for everything.

And even if he had already bought space battleships, it would only be known to select few.

So what is the reason why he's going all the way to the US when he could have just acquired those weapons he needed back in his home country?

It's because this country's national budget is almost spent on their military.

Which means they have the highest numbers of military vehicles from their airforce, navy to their land forces, and they probably have the highest number of firearms in the world.

Even if the world couldn't use those recent military technologies after World War II.

The country certainly still has a lot of stockpiles of old firearms that are still in service.

But one of the mysteries that really intrigued Leo was even though he's the only one capable of using weapons created after World War II through the help of the [System].

Those naval ships out there are still operational and could actually still sail through the seas.

Of course, he had already made a conjecture for it.

Like how a Humvee can still run as it's still considered a vehicle, the problem is that it has degraded from a beast of the battlefield into a becoming simple transport vehicle now because modern firearms had become useless.

Which explains why that naval ship is still stranded nearby from the port, or it would have already bombarded that annoying zombie horde into smithereens using their naval guns mounted on the ship.

After all, can a beast still be called ferocious when it doesn't have its fangs that it's so proud of?

Absolutely not!

It would just be a mere shell from its former glory!

"Oh well, don't die on me later, okay?"

Saying that, Michael suddenly jumped off from the top of the building. Which surprised many as they couldn't help but let out a yelp of surprise when they saw that!

"Oh no!"

"Sh*t!"

All of them quickly ran to the edge and leaned their bodies forward, and they were just in time to see Leo landing safely on the ground with a loud bang that quickly attracted any nearby zombies in the surroundings.

And seeing that he was all fine and dandy that Leo even gave them a thumbs up, the crew couldn't help but discuss amongst themselves in amazement.

"Holy crap, this building is five floors high and he's still fine after that? That armor is sick!"

"I wish I would also have the same ability as the Boss if I ever awaken!"

"You wish!"

"Enough! Get to your positions!"

Their discussion didn't last long when Lin angrily yelled at them and made them go to their assigned positions, but even when they got yelled at, they were still fervently talking in low voices that only their nearest companion could hear.

While the rest are busy with their preparations, Leo is down below clearing up the zombies that came walking over to him while Alex is busy going down the stairs of the hospital building and also killing any zombies in sight.

Unlike Leo that had his armor for convenience, Alex on other hand can't jump down a building five stories high or a part of his body would certainly be destroyed if he does what Leo did.

After all, a half part of his body is still made of human flesh.

So he took his time going down through the floors while clearing up the zombies lurking inside the hospital, and only when he reached the second floor did Alex decide to jump down from that floor through a broken window, and reached the ground not far away from where Leo is.

"I've arrived, sir"

Alex quickly ran up to him as Leo turned around and said, "Are you ready then?"

"Always sir"

Leo smiled inside his armor, and he didn't say anything and just turned around as he knew that he could always rely on Alex for tough jobs like what they are about to do now.

"Move out!"

"Yes sir!"
