Leo was finally near the cave and the soldiers who spotted him, immediately ran towards the gate as they opened it for him.

""Sir!""

"Keep up the good work!"

He slowed down a bit when he was nearing the gate were he was immediately greeted by his men as he was just about to passed through and he shouted at them while sprinting towards the entrance of the cave.

"Alastair!" Leo shouted as his burst into the cave room where Alastair and his team are working on the spaceship.

""Sir!""

The scientists and researchers working inside greeted him upon his arrival and Alastair who is already expecting him immediately led him towards the Scout Ship.

"Is it true though?" Leo asked while walking.

"Of course" Alastair smiled as he suddenly pressed something at the side of the ship which made that place he was pressing light up while the others slowly watched them from a distance with excited expressions on their faces.

*Psssh~!"

Suddenly, a hatch opened at the side of the ship and just in front of them.

Leo and Alastair took a few steps back as they waited for the door to fully open.

After it fully opened, Leo immediately went inside with excited steps as Alastair followed behind him.

Just as Leo took a step foot inside, he was immediately stunned at what he saw! It was because he wasn't expecting the interior would be so much different that what the ship's look from the outside.

Leo stood inside where it was just enough for a full grown adult to stand as he started curiously looking around while Alastair just watch him from the side with a smile plastered on his face.

"The inside was really different...I was expecting it to look-"

"Dark and ominous?"

Alastair immediately butted in to his mumbling.

"Exactly!" Leo said as he clicked his fingers as his head turned towards Alastair.

"We too, we're surprised when we saw "this", It's not something you'd expect from a ship of a race that destroys planets and races" Alastair said as his fingers started caressing the interior ship.

What surprised them was because the inside of the ship looks really neat and clean but proper words to properly describe the inside is that it looks like the control room of the Starship Enterprise but smaller, like a mini version of it.

After that both of them started talking with each other like good friends. All of the others like Alastair would always act formal around Leo if there are others with them but if it's only them, then talking formality with each other would be thrown out of the window.

"Hey Alastair, have you met someone before called Gaia?" from out of nowhere, Leo suddenly asked him a sensitive information.

"Gaia? No. Why do you ask, commander?" Alastair immediately answered but his expression had clearly darkened.

"O-ohh, nothing" Leo just showed a stiff smile but at the same time, he was thinking, 'He didn't Gaia? What the heck does that mean?'

Leo certainly is feeling so confused right now but he then just shrugged it off and started rummaging around the spaceship.

On the other hand, Alastair is looking at Leo while thinking, 'Does he know someone from the Gaia Race? Is that why he's asking me that? Impossibile! This planet is like at the very edge of the Universe so it's impossible for them to know about the Gaia People'

Ten minutes later, Leo walked out of the ship with a gloomy look on his face while Alastair followed behind.

"Are you sure that the ship is actually working?" Leo turned towards Alastair and asked.

"Of course, but it seems we have more work to do" Alastair said as he also wasn't expecting that nothing inside the ship would actually turn on which made him a bit embarrassed about it.

"Alright, take your time then" Leo said as he turned around and walked towards the exit.

Behind him, Alastair and his team immediately went busy as they tried to see what was wrong with the ship.

While taking his time walking through the dimly lit tunnel, Leo was mumbling to himself.

"Does he really not know who Gaia is?" Leo mumbled while holding his chin.

Leo opened his latest notification from the [System]

[Special Mission: Conspiracy]

Find out the truth behind the war that happened 5,000 years ago between the Gaia Race and Octopi Race.

Rewards: Unknown]

"Something is really fishy" Leo said as he started walking fast and he could certainly feel that there's more to it about what happened 5,000 years ago at that "war" and what's happening right now.

"They must be related" Leo said as he exited the cave and was greeted by the shining sun.

"It seems I could toss it aside for now, I don't really have the means and resources some Investigation about a galactic war that happened 5,000 years ago" Leo just shrugged it off as he tried to ignore his suspicions for the time being as he really can't do anything about it for now.

"The Scout Ship was successfully opened but the system won't come to life. Haist~ I was even so excited after finding about it that I even flew here immediately" Leo just sighed before heading towards Hope 101.

"Let's go see how Hope 101 is doing now" Leo said as immediately bolted towards the camp.

A few minutes later.

"It seems nothing has changed much but I think there's a lot of more people now" Leo as looked around his surroundings.

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, from the corner of his eye, he noticed a man jumping on top of the buildings as the man headed towards him.

"Did this bastard get stronger?" Leo sounded surprised as he didn't expect this kind of an ability from Austin.

Moments later.

"Sir! Why didn't you tell us that you're coming?" Austin arrived beside Leo as he panted a bit.

"Seriously? I wanted to become low key but you just had to show off your ability like that" Leo raised an eyebrow towards him.

"Ohh" Austin just looked dumbfounded hearing that.

"How is Cambridge City, sir?" Austin immediately diverted the topic as he is also interested in what happened back at Cambridge City. After all, he's feeling a bit of regret being promoted and getting stuck here and not getting some of that action.

"It was fun" Leo gave a huge grin on his face.

*****

"What? You want a transfer?" Leo felt irked from being stared by Austin while both of them walked on the streets just like regular survivors mingling among the others.

Austin sighed and answers while scratching the back of his head, "Yeah~ but my family is here so I don't know, but at the same time I want to. This place is just too -"

"Peaceful, isn't?" Leo cut him off.

"Yes, there's not action here compared to the frontline. I feel like my abilities are useless just staying here" Austin honestly said.

"Alright, alright. I'll ask my mom if she can transfer Laura at Cambridge then I would also transfer you there so that you won't be lonely. Let's just hope your daughter would like it though" Leo grin as he patted his shoulder before walking away.

"Alright! Thank you, sir!"
