Chapter 58 - The Malevolence Part VII

(Sorry for the delay. I was traveling and had some other issues. Finally back to it. This shouldn't happen too often. Also, I'm posting the random stuff I write. This includes whatever I write for my writing class. If it isn't bugged, it should be visible in the list of my works. It probably is bugged so just search up "ARN3wman's Writing Notebook" if you wanna check it out. Enjoy!)

Obi Wan and Tyler jumped from their train to another that was closer to where C-3PO landed. The arcs of electricity were crackling as the trains sped down their tracks. The high speeds caused the two Jedi to struggle to balance themselves as the air pushed against them.

Taking a deep breath, Obi Wan reached out with his hand. Grasping through the force with his eyes closed, he lifted the golden droid out of the crate it landed in.

In a panic, C-3PO looked around. "Oh! What is going on?"

The amalgamation of golden metal and wires floated through the air, slowly ascending towards Obi Wan's outstretched hand. The tension drawn from this struggle could be cut with a knife.

Unfortunately, they wouldn't be so lucky. Nothing is ever that easy. Another train flew down the track, crashing into the droid and sweeping it away. The weird thing was that this train was moving considerably faster than the others.

Upon taking a closer look, a small squad of people could be seen on the train. One of them was looking straight up at the two Jedi, smirking. He was wearing a black cloak. The other people were also wearing dark cloaks. With their hoods up, it was difficult to see their appearance.

Obi Wan smacking his thɨġh in frustration. "Blast, that's not good." He lifted his comm to his wrist. "Anakin, I got separated from your droid."

Padme's concerned voice came over the line. "3PO!"

Anakin then spoked. "Ugh, I'll take care of it."

Tyler then cut in. "Wait for us so we can regroup. 3PO was taken by some unknown ȧssailants. I have a bad feeling about them."

Anakin sighed. "Very well. I'll have Padme return to the ship."

Padme quickly retorted. "No, we can't leave yet. I overheard Grievous. Their hyperdrive is almost repaired."

Obi Wan nodded. "We are already headed in the direction so we'll make sure the hyperdrive stays offline."

Anakin replied. "Alright. R2, I need you to help me find 3PO. He's on the rail jet." R2 chirped in annoyance. "I know. I know! He does. Look, just find him for me, and I'll be there soon."

Tyler turned to Obi Wan after turning off his comms. "Let's head to the hyperdrive. We must disable it."

Obi Wan nodded so they jumped again, navigating through the ship to reach the hyperdrive.

A pair of double doors slid open revealing a wide open room. It was entirely made of metal. In front of the door was a bridge that led to the central controls for the hyperdrive. All around were massive pylons that made up the hyperdrive generators.

Obi Wan and Tyler rushed through the doors in an attempt to sneak up behind two droids that were operating the controls. The buŧŧons were beeping as they were pressed. The doors behind them slid closed.

Suddenly, the lights buzzed on, illuminating the rest of the room. A squad of droids walked in from the two adjacent bridges, effectively surrounding the Jedi. In addition, the doors they came in through slid open again. The doors revealed another squad of droids. A trio of droidekas rolled out from behind the control panel. In all, there were 25 droids; 4 super battle droids, 18 B1 battle droids, and 3 droidekas.

A sinister laugh came from behind them. As they turned around, General Grievous jumped down from the platform above. If he had a face, he would be smirking like a puppy eating shit. "Hello there."

*General Grievous, 63 years, CIS General*

*Level 100*

*Kalee Kaleesh*

Seeing Grievous's not so high level, Tyler glanced over at Obi Wan. He essentially stopped looking at levels because there were very few individuals that he couldn't defeat anyways. He just wanted to satiate his curiosity.

*Obi Wan Kenobi, 35 years, Jedi Master*

*Level 115*

*Stewjon Human*

Grievous was holding a blaster and was slowly walking forwards amongst a squad of six B1 droids. "General Kenobi, did you really think I would leave the hyperdrive unguarded?"

Obi Wan shrugged and let on a smug look. "Anything is possible. You haven't exactly impressed me today."

Grievous released a sinister laugh. "Kill him."

Tyler waved his hands. "Yoohoo, are you forgetting about me? I think you might have a few screws loose."

Grievous shook with anger. "General Draco, it's a pŀėȧsurė to meet you. It's too bad this will also be our last time meeting."

Tyler shrugged. "I'm honored that the head clanker knows of me. You are right about one thing. This will be the last time we meet." He smirked.

Grievous roared. "KILL THEM NOW!"

The surrounding droids raised their weapons, aiming to kill. Tyler and Obi Wan unsheathed their lightsabers.

Not waiting to get soaked by a rain of blaster fire, the two Jedi jumped high into the air, gracefully evading the streaking red blaster bolts. They stuck their landings among the three droidekas.

In unison, they used the force to send the two outer droidekas rolling down the adjacent bridges. Like the boulder rushing at a certain explorer, the droidekas crashed into the lines of droids, throwing them off of the bridge.

Tyler smirked, noticing the opportunity. Due to the small difference in levels, the force should still be effective. This might not make sense in other games but there is no major difference when one is a certain amount of levels over another. Of course there is level suppression but that is it. There is no qualitative difference between brackets of levels, only increased stats. What matters most, however, is skills. Whether those skills are those implemented by the game, or those that the players have learned through effort, it makes no difference. All that matters is how they are used. This makes it so that anyone, with enough hard work, can overcome any foe.

Tyler reached out with his hands, grabbing hold of the force. As soon as the droideka stopped rolling, Grievous found himself being lifted off the ground.

Grievous roared in anger. "UNHAND ME, JEDI!"

Tyler smirked, pulling Grievous to him. As the half droid, half beast, flew through the air, Tyler ignited both of his lightsabers. He raised them, and then swung them down and in as Grievous reached in front of him. This swift move removed all four of the general's limbs. He was now just as mobile as a turd on a cold tile floor.

Grievous screeched in pain. "JEDI SCUM!"

Not paying attention to him, Tyler used the force again, flinging the remaining six droids off of the bridge.

He then turned to Obi Wan. "Disable the hyperdrive. I'll keep an eye on the metallic turd over there."

Obi Wan rolled his eyes, as he turned towards the control panel. "Bloody hell, Draco. You're a mad man."

Tyler smirked. "I know how to get shit done. That's all that matters."

Grievous started roaring in anger again. Tyler walked over and kicked him in the head with considerable strength. Grievous's turd-like torso ragdolled through the air, thumping onto the ground. "Shut up. I'm gonna get a headache if you keep crying like a bitch."

To his pŀėȧsurė, there was no response. However, this was due to the debilitated general being knocked out from the kick to the head.

A few minutes later, the hyperdrive was forcefully disabled and the panel was destroyed by Obi Wan's lightsaber.

Anakin's voice came over the comm line. "Obi Wan? Come in, Obi Wan."

Obi Wan chuckled. "The hyperdrive is taken care of. We also captured Grievous."

Anakin was shocked. "WHAT? Seems like you had it easy over there."

Tyler laughed. "That metallic turd didn't put up much of a struggle."

Obi Wan nodded. "Let's rendezvous back at the Twilight. We must allow the fleet to engage the Malevolence." He waited for a few moments but there was no reply. "Anakin?"

Tyler shook his head. "They must be jamming communications. I wonder what flavor they are using."

Obi Wan rolled his eyes. "You do realize that they don't use actual jam to disrupt comms, right?"

Tyler laughed. "It's a joke, you dobe. Let's get back to the Twilight."
